Introducing two guys to mom

"Boss…there is a problem." Jack panicked as he informed the man who was resting in the green room after a day full of hard work.

He was only going to take 40 photos since that was what they had agreed upon but.

The cameraman was so excited that he did not even put the camera down. He made the company they were endorsing to pay extra money for the extra time.

And the company also did not hesitate to add money. Everyone was way too excited since no one got to work with a celebrity as handsome and kind as him.

So he ended up taking more photos and working extra hours.

Wrinkling his brow he looked at timidly standing Jack on the door.

"What is it?"

"Sir…The flower lady called.." He hesitated whether to tell or not.

"Spill it out fast." The man wanted to take a rest before he went through the reports of the main company.

His grandfather was not letting him off if he did not handle the main company as well.

"She said her son got sick so she can't deliver the flowers.." Jack stopped midway trying to see this reaction.

"So, she had kept them inside her workshop. She wants us to pick it up our self."

"She even told me where she hid the key to the shop."

"Huh?" Ryan looked at the reflection of the man in the mirror. "What was that about?"

"Gulp" He gulped down his spit nervously.

Jack was hoping to dig a hole and bury himself being looked like that. He always wanted to when his boss gave the strange luke warm look to him.

Ryan looked at the watch. Thirty minutes left to be six o'clock. From what he knew, Mrs. Sovuyer usually got off from work at Five thirty.

"There is still time." He looked at Jack with his gaze meaningful.

"Boss…" Jack was afraid mainly of the thing he was about to speak now.

"There is a situation in my family." He spoke solemnly. That afternoon he was called by the boss telling someone was waiting for him.

It was his uncle from the village he was from who had come to take him back since his parents both of them were really sick.

"I need to catch the flight back home in an hour." Jack spoke apologetically.

Ryan had not heard about it since they hadn't had chance to talk out of work.

"I understand." Ryan felt a little bad about keeping him around.

"But sir.." Jack was about to interrupt when Ryan beat him to it.

"You can go now..I will manage things myself." Ryan assured him after all he was not a kid. He could do his things himself.

"Sir…Thank you." Jack looked at him with puppy teary eyes.

"Go Go now…" Ryan waved him off cause he was sure if he did not the man would jump and hug him and regret it later.

"Boss…..I love you." Jack carried his suitcase and in a few second he was out of the room in swift motion.

"The lilies…how am I supposed to send it?" Ryan was lost on what to do.

.

.

Why is it so dark?" Mrs. Sovuyer came back from her office and opened the door to her house but the room was darker than usual and there was no sign of any living beings.

"Isn't Lucia home yet? "She wondered as she tried to turn in the light bulb but the switches were not working.

"Is there a power blackout?" She questioned herself as she tried to open her phone. But as long as she could remember there were lights all over the city including the house of the neighbor.

"Ahh found it!!" She reached out to turn on her phone but she was startled when the colorful lights she used in Christmas tree suddenly glowed up.

"Oh my gosh.." She looked shocked and surprised at the light but that was not the end of her surprises.

There was sudden burst of birthday crackers and then finally a figure stood up from the sofa holding something.

"Happy birthday to you…"

"Haooy birthday to you…"

"Happy birthday my dear mom…."

"Happy birthday to you…."

Cheerful voice of Elaine rang out accompanied by loud and matching claps.

But Mrs. Sovuyer was too overly overjoyed that she did not even notice that Lucia was catching cake with both of her hands so how could she clap?

(*0*)

"Omo…Today is my birthday right?" Mrs. Sovuyer, she did not know that it was her birthday today since many things had been accompanying her mind.

Without her permission, tear of happiness rolled down solely from her eyes.

"Sorry for the late wish mom." Lucia smiled happily while her eyes overflowed with tears that did not seem to stop forming as she felt more and more emotional.

"Thank you my baby girl." Her mother replied looking at the faintly glowing face of Lucia under the effect of the glowing lights and the candle in the cake.

"Mom, close your eyes." Lucia spoke excited.

"Its' dark sweeties…what would I even see with my eyes open." She let out a small chuckle.

"Mom….." She called out to her with a slightly pouted mouth.

"Ok, Ok….I got it..I got it." Mrs. Sovuyer closed her eyes.

.

Lucia went to the switch line and connected the wires together.

"Okay mom open your eyes." Lucia spoke happily but there was a hint of nervousness in her voice as well.

Her mother opened her eyes slowly.

"Oh my my….." She clasped her hand on her mouth looking at the scene before her.

On the table were exactly 30 white lilies, all beautifully wrapped up in a beautiful bouquet.

"This…" Her favorite flowers were lilies but she had never told anyone since there was no one she could share with and by the time she was free she was too old to act like a kid excited over some flowers.

"hah…I knew you loved them." Lucia stood up proud and rubbed her nose feeling proud but in fast she was trying to prevent her nose from overflowing since she was almost on verge of crying.

She never knew she was this emotional person.

"Mom…there is one more thing." Lucia hesitantly spoke, her leg slowly kicking the carpet on her feet.

"Tell me…" Her mother was in a good mood so she was sure she won't be angry no matter how big of a problem she made.

"Mom, I have two guests over today, right now." She nervously eyes her mom.

"Okay…I don't mind." She took the lily in her arms and spoke casually.

"The more people, merrier it would be." She smiled at her.

"And both are male." Lucia was on panic attack by this moment.

"So what…I don't judge." She smelled one of the flower and gave a satisfied look.

"I have seen Sam and Harith plenty of time."

Yes the problem was that mom. Lucia screamed at the top of her lungs inside her brain.

"Mom…They are not them."

Her mom looked at her with a little confused and curious expression. Other boys except her friends meant there was something fishy going on.

"Oho..is love staring to brew?" She gave a teasing look.

"Mom…just look at who they are and you would know." Lucia spoke slowly wondering what she had got herself into.

Right after that, two tall and well built man, one dressed in a casual dress while other was dressed in suit and pants, stood up from the other side of the sofa, both looking dignified.

"Guys… this is my mom." Lucia gestured to her mom looking at both of them.

"Mom, they are er...err….." Lucia did not know how to introduce their relation with her.

Mrs. Sovuyer was not even listening to Lucia speaking as she looked with shocked expression at the two male gods who looked very very familiar to her.
