Chapter 28 Mangrove panda

Jacob slowly led the group of students out of the cave towards the jackfruit grove inside the habitat where these could be found.

A sweet smell was coming from the jack fruit grove as it was filled with mutated jack fruit trees. The group slowly entered the grove and could see the pandas stuck up to the jackfruits and eating it up. Some panda cubs were sleeping under the shade.

Ben activated his bionic eye and saw every panda, but none of them seemed different or special.

Max was wondering which panda cub he should tame, he was looking at the panda cubs and also checked on Ben to see if he could help him, he could see Ben was already looking at the pandas to find one.

Max also asked his teacher and Jasmine as they were from a beast taming family. But they also couldn't help him as they said "Sorry, we are not familiar with mangrove pandas as they are commonly found and not too special to be hunted by a beast tamer."

Ben still couldn't find a special panda, so he turned to look at his group, they also couldn't find one which Max liked. So Ben and his group chose to leave Max alone so that he could make a decision on which panda to pick, while they were enjoying the company of the cute pandas surrounding them and nibbling on the fruits.

Suddenly out of nowhere, a little panda came running towards Max, it looked like a cute baby without any tooth running towards its mother, it latched on to Max and never let him go, it had a scar on its face but it still looked cute.

Max didn't know what to do about the panda and looked at everyone for some advice.

"Take it", said Ben as he could see through his eyes there was a mixture of green and red energy inside the panda and it was also stronger than other pandas around them.

Max understood what Ben meant and tamed the little panda. The teacher was a bit shocked as Max also obeyed Ben without asking anything and accepted the panda even though it had a scar on its face, which no one would want.

The teacher chose to remain silent and move on to the next habitat.

Max was the most handsome boy in the group with pale white skin, a fit body, and black wavy hair. The panda matched Max's features and they both looked adorable together. The panda didn't come down from Max's back and was latched to him,

The teacher told everyone, that they would be going to the earth habitat next as it was the nearest habitat from the wind habitat.

Everyone agreed as they had already wasted a lot of time sightseeing the cute pandas. Max had to slow down a bit as he couldn't walk with the panda latched on to him, so Ben chose to accompany him, while the others moved faster to the earth habitat.

"I want a Rock elephant", said Li Shin to their teacher while they were moving as he had planned on taking a rock elephant cub as his first beast as it was good in defense.

The group arrived at the place where the Rock elephants were situated in the earth's habitat.

The Rock elephants were very intelligent beasts and were brown in color and they could harden their bodies into rocks and camouflage themselves among rocks to hunt their prey, they also liked living near water holes and rivers.

Ben and Max slowly followed the group and reached the place. There was a huge group of Rock elephant cubs playing in the water. Li Shin went near the river and called on to the elephant cubs. Every cub playing in the water came rushing towards Li Shin and behind them, a huge mother Rock elephant came and stood in front of Li Shin.

Everyone except for the teacher gulped down seeing such a big and scary-looking beast in front of them.

The Rock elephants were very intelligent and can speak to humans with their telekinesis easily. The elephant challenged Li Shin to show his strength and asked him to break down a very huge rock on the shore of the river, and if he manages to break it he may get to choose any cub.

Everyone heard the message by the elephant and found the task given to Li Shin as impossible.

Meanwhile

The panda latched to Max woke up and climbed down from him, Max found this as a good opportunity to put it in storage, he took a jackfruit out of his storage and gave it to the panda and lured the panda into a portal which leads it to his storage bag. Max felt relieved and joined his group.

Li Shin talked to his friends and decided to take on the test, seeing Li Shin's determination his friends could do nothing except cheer him.

Li Shin was also a good-looking boy with long black hair which he always covered with a cap and golden brown skin, his body was a bit matured and fitter than Max, but Max was a bit handsome than Li Shin.

Li spat the chewing gum he had in his mouth and activated his S-grade strength arms mod.

His hands turned a little bulky and became silver in color. He looked at the rock, took a deep breath, and ran towards it at his full speed and jumped as high as he could and joined both his hands together, and swung it with all his might at the rock.

A loud sound was heard, nothing was visible on the rock, but Li Shin showed a pained expression on his face as his hands couldn't bear the shock he felt from the rock. He thought he failed the test and looked at his friends with a worried face, suddenly cracks started forming on the rock and it cracked into pieces. Everyone was shocked seeing Li Shin's strength, the teacher was shocked the most as he didn't understand how Li got his hands on a high-grade mod.

Ben chose to recover the mod energy spent by his eye and didn't activate the eyes. "Li do you want my help", asked Ben silently to Li. "No, Ben don't strain yourself, save your strength", said Li with a slight smile on his face.

Li Shin felt relieved after seeing the broken rocks, he approached the elephant cubs and chose the one to which he felt connected and tamed it.

Li Shin didn't feel like asking for help from Ben as all he wanted was a beast to boost his defense. They all felt happy as Li Shin passed the test and had tamed his beast.

The teacher decided to go to the fire habitat next. It was Ricky's turn to pick his beast. While moving on the way to the fire habitat, the teacher asked Ricky what beast he wanted to pick. "I want a phoenix", said Ricky, and everyone stopped in their tracks.
