Chapter 24

Camilla's mouth opened comically and Alex wanted to make a joke, but the matter was serious, so he refrained. She was confused.

"Family lunch?" She asked. What came to her mind was that she would meet his family, but that couldn't be possible. They weren't even really dating. Still, at least.

"Yes. My father has heard that I am serious with a woman and he, like the other members of the Strauss family, wants to meet you." He said. He omitted the part where his father thought she was nothing more than a 'interesting nobody'.

"But Alex, this is a very important step!" She got up from the counter. "We're not even officially dating yet and your parents already want to know who I am. They hate me, right?" she asked, looking at Alex with a pitying face.

"No!" He got up and hugged her. "They don't hate you. They just don't know you. There's no way I can hate you after meeting you." he said encouragingly.

"I disagree, but ok." She spoke, resigned.
