Both the wedding ceremony and the coronation were longer than Joo Won had expected. He honestly wanted to get it done fast but because of the tradition and culture, he had to do both ceremonies in a proper manner.
By the time he completed both the ceremonies, he was extremely exhausted and all he wanted to do was rest. But above all that, there was one thing that won't stop swirling in his mind and that is Yuna.
Since the beginning of the day, Joo Won couldn't stop thinking of Yuna. He was worried about what she was thinking, what she must have felt, and if she was okay.
He just couldn't stop asking himself all these questions all throughout the day and only when he sees her can he finally put his mind at ease.
These feelings of anxiousness and worry made him feel miserable the whole day since he was told that Yuna wouldn't be able to see his coronation and would just be allowed to stay in her quarters until after both ceremonies have ended.
After all, he knew how Yuna is and base on her character, Joo Won knows that she must be trying to keep her mind off stuff by keeping herself busy or pretending to sleep so as to not worry Sohye.
As Joo Won finish changing his clothes and ready himself to go and meet Yuna, he was stopped by a figure standing right outside his door, making his mood sour instantly.
"Greetings to your Majesty, King Sun of Koryo. I apologize for my sudden visit but I believe I have yet to introduce myself to you, even though we have just gotten married."
Hye In curtsey gracefully while she greets Joo Won with a soft smile but it only made him loathe her more.
Just from the look of her face, he can already see the kind of trouble she will cause and if he doesn't handle it properly, Joo Won is sure that she will give Yuna a hard time.
Even though he knows that, currently, he's really not in the mood to deal with her and she will only be around for a while anyway. Might as well let her enjoy the precious little time that she has.
"Well, aren't you going too fast? I believe you can do this later but I guess you already know that I won't be visiting your quarter's tonight. Is that why you came here yourself? How desperate..."
Joo Won scoff as he shook his head in disappointment and began walking towards her. He stops as he reaches right beside her.
"You know, My Queen, you're just embarrassing yourself right now since I wouldn't fall for someone as ugly as you. I know who you are and I know what you're doing because I can smell your ugly evil stench from a few houses away."
"So I suggest you don't try anything and just quietly live your life inside the palace as My Queen since that's what you wanted, isn't it? If I ever see your face again in front of me or if I hear anything about you, just be prepared to know that I won't hesitate to kill you. Understand?"
Hye In was quietly trembling in anger as she nodded softly to Joo Won. As he saw her pathetic reaction, Joo Won left her standing there alone as he continued his way to Yuna's quarter.
After he left, Hye In was still standing there in anger. She wanted so bad to scream and smack someone to release the anger that was continuously rising inside her.
But she was not stupid. She knew better not to since she was just crowned the Queen of Koryo and was just married to Joo Won. She cannot have her named be smeared right as she entered the palace.
That wouldn't do her any good and will just make her life in the palace harder than it is now. So after taking a few seconds to calm herself down and control her emotions, Hye In turned to her attendants with a sad smile.
"That was embarrassing. I'm sorry you all have to watch that. I guess the King must have not liked me. I'm sure he will warm up to me sooner or later right?"
All her attendants were just quiet as they felt sad and pity for her since she was rejected so harshly by Joo Won. But what they didn't know is that it was all fake and she just wanted their sympathy.
"I wonder where he was rushing to. Looks urgent to me. I hope he doesn't work too hard since he looks tired since earlier."
Hye In pretended to talk to herself as she began walking to her royal quarter. She knew that by doing so, someone will bound to reply to her since they're still pitying her regarding the incident earlier.
"I'm sorry to interrupt your thoughts, Your Majesty but I believe he might be visiting Noble Consort Sook. She was bestowed the title earlier this morning by the King himself since she's his first legal wife."
Hearing of the new information that wasn't told to her, Hye In momentarily stop in her tracks to process what she just heard. She couldn't believe anything that was said by her attendant.
"Oh. His Majesty must have really loved her to rush straight to her even though he was tired. Is she pretty? From which household did she come from? I'm sure she must be lovely."
Hye In continued her steps as she ask her attendant in a way that sounded as if she was heartbroken.
"You don't have to worry about her, Your Majesty. She came from a lowly background and the only reason His Majesty care for her is because of pity. Even though they have been married for years, no one has seen His Majesty spend the night in her quarter's before."
"No one also knows if she's pretty or not. Half of her face is covered by a veil, only her eyes can be seen since the moment she entered the palace. We're pretty sure she's wearing a veil because she's just ugly. So you can be rest assured that she will be of no threat to you, Your Majesty."
A small smile creeps on Hye In's face as she heard what was being told to her. The new hot information was just exactly what she wanted to hear.
"I see. That's a pity then. Let's pay her a visit tomorrow morning. I'm curious as to see what she's like. I'm sure we both can be good friends."
