sitting ducks.

"Lokust attacks a noble household!!!" I watched the news. Lokust has been a lot more active nowadays. "Watching the news updates about Lokust again?" Leona said with visible disgust on her face. "I mean, we're allowed to know what's going on in the world, right?"

She sighed. "Why do you watch the news about them, anyway?" "I guess it's interesting. They want equality. But why do they think this is the right way to get it?" I said, pondering their goal and their methods. "You think what they're doing is right!??" she practically yelled.

She's twisting my words. Why can't everybody be as reasonable as Brian? "I never said that." "But you don't think what they are doing it for is bad!???" If they want to fight for equality, I'm all for it. "No, I think their philosophy is correct but their method is wrong."

"Their philosophy is doing everything and anything for equality!!! Including killing children!"

"I know that," I said, finally turning around and looking into her silver eyes. She looked angry, but it was sadder than that.

"Give me a back story, I'll hear one out." I basically commanded her to do so. "Our family was ha-." She began, then I interrupted her. "I know your family was happy, just tell me what happened," I said, cutting her short.

(AN:I want a backstory to get to the point not gonna drag it on for 3 chapters.)

"One day five years ago, my parents were working their jobs. They were scientists developing pills to increase one's PR by five." "The issue was… it was too expensive for regular commoners to afford it would've made the gap between nobles and commoners even wider."

"Your parents must've known that, and they were commoners too, so why?" I asked, hoping to get an answer about a seemingly stupid amount of choices. "Because without a scholarship for Relix academy, you can't get in without a small fortune for tuition. They wanted to make sure my brother, and I made it here."

She said, tearing up. "How much money did they make?" I asked. "Five million Heiro." As expected, a sum large enough to live your whole life off of, and I'm sure it wasn't even fully developed yet. "They sold the patent to the king and queen." "But while they were just finishing the project, Lokust attacked and stole all 500 pills."

"They all died, including my uncle." She said crying. I didn't really know how to react to that. And it dawned on me. I remembered what I had forgotten and the shit storm that's going to hit the kingdom soon.

5 PR is a tremendous amount. With that many pills, it's possible every terrorist in Lokus has a PR of over 17. My eyes widened. "DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOUR PARENTS HAVE UNLEASHED!!!" I screamed. She looked at me with her mouth wide open.

They only hadn't attacked this school because they needed to try out the pills finished version. Without her parents, they probably couldn't figure them out for a long time! They've been trying to practice in elite schools before they go for us. "SHIT!" This was information Leona definitely should've told law enforcement.

I ran to my tablet and found Mina's contact. I called, while biting my fingernails. While Leona looked at me in confusion. "Sapphire?" Mina picked up. "Listen. I have finally found out why Lokust keeps attacking elite schools!!!" "What!???" "They've been practicing for Relix academy!!! They got their hands on some superpowered pills!!! Just hurry and come here!"

10 minutes later… I calmed down. And looked at the advisor in front of me. "Explain slowly please," Mina said with wrinkles etched into her face. "Leona here's parents were attacked by Lokust 5 years ago. They stole roughly 500 PR pills that increased PR by five." I explained shortly.

Her mouth dropped open. "That means every terrorist in Lokust has a PR of 17." She started sweating as she didn't want to believe her own words. She called someone. She then started explaining. "We have no idea when they're going to attack. We could evacuate but they've waited for five years. They would just attack when we have a false sense of security."

I cursed. "They are most likely to attack during the exam." "But that might be a ruse to fake us into another false sense of security. They got us the most we can do is put some soldiers here, but it might not be stable security." "As they attack other schools that they might attack."

"So were sitting ducks?" I said, realizing the situation. "I'm afraid we are."
