Packing day

Jane sorted through her room, collecting all her books and a few other necessities. She was only going was going to bring what she needed for the day, plus items that she decided to relocate. Jane didn't bring much since her childhood room was still stocked better then her dorm back at college. They both had very different climates and culture. This was truly her home and she was going to be back shortly. Almost four years had passed by when her face was in her books.

A sad thought sprung into her mind. She imagined the day, when she finally emptied this room of all her possessions. It was mostly just an empty feeling and a realization that her childhood was coming to an end. She was definitely getting old enough to have a place of her own. The thought tugged at her heart before she dismissed it. When she was younger this thought would have brought her accomplishments and excitement. That she had excepted the dictatorship of her loving parents. Now all she could see was their guidance and protection.

She had received a few gifts that she wanted to bring. They where small but despite feeling terrible she enjoyed her time back. Her laptop and a change of clothes was necessary, since you never know when a crazy person will pore coffee on you. There might be some bitter feelings from her ride over. She shook the memory from her mind leaving a faint formality behind. It was probably nothing she had been having odd feelings and forgotten memories just spring back.

Jane searched for her lucky book. It was the final piece missing from her pack. Jane loved to read the familiar pages. They seamed to cause a calming sensation that melted the world around her. She had been sick and so her pack had become dislodged across her room. By the time she could keep her eyes open she was engrossed in Norse literature. Her teacher was tough but she loved it. All the stores of the stars and civilization that came before, brought her excitement for the future. In the mix of everything her precious book had been misplaced. Despite her best efforts of cleaning and organizing her room, it still was lost.

Jane thought back to when she had it last. She was sitting on the plane, all the feeling came back. She remembered being annoyed with the situation and missing the mysterious men that always sat by her. In secret she kind of enjoyed their company, even though they rarely said a word to her. She would always day dream about what other people would think. The idea of her having someone so eye catching claim her for his own. She never hated the thought even though she always knew it was a formality.

Jane remembered the moment her book became more of a shield to spy on this mysterious creature sitting next to her. He was different from all the other men before. Despite his smaller build he was still very well defined. She didn't mind the extra room, she liked that he was more of her size, with a few extra inches to spare. Somehow he seamed more perfect then all the other men that came before. She remembered his face and how he seamed friendly despite his icy presence. He seamed safe and that melted her fears away.

She thought back to the conversation when she asked him his name. She didn't expect much but eventually received way more then what she bargained for. She remembered how odd it was that she was reading about Norse mythology all week long. His name haunted her and yet she didn't mind. It gave her somewhere for her mind to escape from. It was odd that she was crushing on a stranger. It was even more odd that he didn't seam like one. It was even more odd that she felt like she was fighting against her instinct the entire time.

Jane knew that there was a slim to no chance of finding him again in the big city. Going back to school gave her a small flicker of hope that she might bump into him again. That maybe she could find even if it only landed friendship she would be more then happy. It would be better then her imagination driving her crazy. She closed her eyes and she could feel how safe she felt that day. She wished more then anything that she would find that again. He had become her prince that set her free and she wasn't going to just sit and wait to find it again.

Jane decided from this moment forward she was going to free herself from her own prison. Her books kept her locked away, it was alright before, but now she knew what she was missing out on. She had finished the puzzle to find a missing section. Her life didn't seam so planned out as it did before, it felt loose and ready to fall out so a new her could emerge.
