Chapter 24: Sudden side quest (3)

It still had the same description, but this time the red dots were back on the map given to him.

Lin Fan couldn't help saying, "System, why were the red dots gone when I was leaving?"

But as usual, the system didn't say anything in response.

Lin Fan just sat there in thought before realizing what the system wanted him to do…

The system gave him the locations of all the gangsters before he went into the building, but once he came out, they were gone. This could only mean two things.

One was that the system wasn't on his side.

Two, it was that the system wanted him to deal with all the people that were outside before he went in…

But to deal with these dangerous people with guns that didn't have any qualms with using them, it was clear that there was only one way. Lin Fan would have to use force with him.

This was something that Lin Fan had trouble with even though he had already made up his mind.

He knew that the only way out of this was to use force, but at the last moment, he always seemed to freeze up.

That was the case back in the penthouse and it was the case when he had been guiding Su Yan earlier.

If he wanted to take care of this side quest, it seemed like Lin Fan had to make up his mind.

This time, Lin Fan didn't wait since the side quest was still active. The map was already available to him and he could see the red dots all over the area. He would be taking the initiative this time.

He had saved fifteen minutes before the side quest was released, which meant that he had an extra fifteen minutes to take care of as many people as possible before Su Yan was trapped.

Based on the red dots on the map, there were actually quite a few people who had been sent out to take care of Su Yan. Rather, they shouldn't all be people who were sent to take care of Su Yan since they were all spread out around the warehouse that Lin Fan was currently in.

These should be the various Nova Group thugs that would have been placed ahead of time for tonight's attack.

Lin Fan came out of the room and the short gangster stopped him again.

Lin Fan had already convinced him once, so it wasn't hard for him to convince him again to come out with him.

They followed the same path until they met the same Nova Group gangsters who had been waiting there and then Lin Fan used the same excuse to send the short gangster off.

The only difference was that before the short gangster left, Lin Fan got something from him.

Lin Fan said in a confident voice, "Do you have a gun?"

The short gangster was surprised when he heard this and he asked, "What do you need a gun for?"

Lin Fan snapped, "To protect myself, why else would I need a gun? What if they find me while you're gone and I have nothing to protect myself with?"

The short gangster could only say "oh" before he pulled a gun out of the holster belt he had across his chest which he handed to Lin Fan.

But before he could leave, Lin Fan then said, "Do you have a silencer?"

The short gangster was surprised again as he asked, "What do you need a silencer for?"

Lin Fan snapped again, "If I have to shoot my gun, wouldn't they be able to hear everything? If it draws all of them in, wouldn't I be in danger?"

The short gangster could only say "oh" once again before giving the silencer that he had to Lin Fan.

As he tried to leave for the third time, Lin Fan stopped him once again.

Lin Fan said, "Do you have any extra magazines?"

The short gangster didn't back down easily this time as he said, "Why would you need extra magazines? It almost sounds like you're planning on taking them on."

But Lin Fan once again snapped, "If I have to shoot, I don't want to be caught off guard, so just give me them already. I'm sure you have plenty."

The short gangster dug through his chest and grabbed a few for Lin Fan that he threw out before quickly running off.

If he stayed here any longer, he would definitely be forced to give up everything that he had with Lin Fan's logic.

The strange thing was that with how strong Lin Fan's voice was, he had been unable to say no to him.

Lin Fan picked up those magazines and opened up his map to find his first target.

The ones in front of him were grouped up and Lin Fan wasn't confident enough in his shooting skills to take all three out yet since he had never fired a gun before.

Lin Fan found one person who was wandering alone and quickly made his way over there, avoiding any other red dots along the way.

Lin Fan had this special ability to not be detected which he had trained over his years in school since he was someone who tried to keep to himself as much as possible. He was able to easily make his way through crowds or even areas with a few people with as little presence as possible.

It was easy for him to find a spot where he was able to see that one person who was walking along the road without being noticed.

When he arrived at this spot, he pulled out his gun which had the silencer attached and aimed it right at that person's head.

Now was the part that he struggled with, actually pulling the trigger.

While he had already made up his mind to do this, he was after all just a normal person a few days ago. Normal people definitely would have hesitations when it actually came to killing someone.

It took him a whole minute of just standing there and watching that person walking a bit before stopping to look at something.

Lin Fan found that he couldn't do it in the end, but when he was about to put down that gun, he suddenly thought of Su Yan and what she had done for him…

He didn't know what pushed him, but his finger pulled down on the trigger and before he could stop it, the gun fired.

It was too bad that Lin Fan was a terrible shot.

Even with the silencer getting rid of the sound of the gun, the bullet that missed hit the wall right in front of that person, creating a hole that was really hard to miss.

When that person saw that hole, his first instinct was to duck. However, when he saw that there was nothing else that followed, he immediately pulled out his gun and turned around.

When he saw that there was no one there, he shouted, "Who's there! Come out now and I won't shoot."

As he said this, he slowly began moving back, just waiting to hear the sound of the shot to dodge the bullet.

Lin Fan no longer had any hesitation.

The moment that he pulled the trigger, it was like there was something that coursed through his body, filling it with energy.

After increasing his body's physical strength, now that he was above average, he was able to quickly recover from the recoil of the gun.

Then when he moved the gun to aim at that person, he found that it was strangely easy for him. It was almost as if his body was doing everything itself.

It seemed that by increasing his strength, not only did it increase his physical strength, it also increased his motor skills and his reflexes to above average levels.

Lin Fan was able to quickly line up the shot and unlike the first time, he didn't hesitate to pull the trigger.

The bullet flew out of the gun and since it was silenced, that person didn't hear the sound of the gunshot that he was waiting for.

All that he saw was a blur in front of him before the bullet landed right in between his forehead.

His last sight was just an empty street before he slumped to the ground, unaware of how he had just died.

But that wasn't all of Lin Fan's worries since there was a voice that came from ahead of him that shouted, "What's going on over there?"

Lin Fan quickly opened the map and saw that there was a red dot approaching from in front. It seemed that it had been close enough to hear that person's shouting, so they quickly rushed over.

That was the bad thing, but the good thing was that there were no other red dots that were approaching, so Lin Fan just needed to take care of this one person.

That red dot came closer and closer until that person came from around the corner to appear in front of Lin Fan.

When that person saw the body lying on the ground, he immediately pulled out his gun and carefully moved over to the body.

But during this time, Lin Fan had already lined up his next shot.

He still felt that same feeling as before when he made that shot and his body moved on its own to line up the muzzle.

When he pulled the trigger again, the bullet flew straight out and landed in between the eyes of the person who had been slowly moving towards the body on the ground.
