I began pacing around the room. “This is just insane. I don’t understand any of it.”
My mind whirled with questions and the most prominent was just one word. How? The pacing and mental gymnastics did nothing to bring me closer to answers. I only had one response to my confusion.
“Avamarie!” I shouted.
No response.
“Avamarie!”
“What are you doing?” Benjamin asked uncovering his ears.
“I’m calling Avamarie. She’s the only one who can tell me if this is really possible.”
“She can’t hear you,” he insisted.
I gave a harsh sarcastic laugh. “Are you kidding me? Do you honestly think she isn’t right here over my shoulder listening right now?”
Still no response came.
“Avamarie! Get your ass in here now!” I screamed stomping my feet in anger.
Out of nowhere a soft glow pulsated in the middle of the room. It shinned brighter and brighter until the outline of a woman was clearly visible.
