I jerked awake when the bed I was laying in suddenly bucked me to the ground. I immediately reached for my gun before I realized with horror that I didn’t have it. Before my drowsy mind fully comprehended where I left it, I was tossed to the ground again.

I grabbed the nearest seat I could and pulled myself up once again. Then I held on as tight as I could so I wouldn’t be tossed again. The plane was jerking side to side and up and up like it was on a roller coaster ride doomed for hell. Once I got my ears to pop and the annoying ringing to vanish, I could hear the desperate screams of the others in the group.

Anger and fear rolled through me. ‘We’ll be fine’ he said. ‘I’ll get us there safely’ he said. I sneered in my head trying to keep myself upright so I could check on the boys.
