Strategy Discussion

After Marie's long talk with Ena, they were finally going to discuss their strategy.

Since there were five heads of their family in total, that meant they had a hundred and thirty royal members in their arsenal. Excluding Ena and Marie since Ena's family was on the enemy side and Marie wasn't someone of royalty.

Each family had 26 members, excluding the duke and duchess. In total, there were 137 members with them including Marie and Ena. The army of mutants they saw was about two hundred to three hundred.

In terms of strength, they were definitely at a disadvantage. However, they could hopefully overcome the disadvantage with strategy.

"Let the meeting commence," said Ellie.

"I'll get straight to the point, I'm going to explain it now. Because they have higher numbers than us, it'll be more difficult for Alex to produce a plan and have them work together more coordinately. And because our numbers are fewer, our teamwork is going to be far superior."

"Except teamwork isn't everything, it isn't going to help us win this fight. What will help us win this fight is the contribution in our forces, if every one of us put in the work, we just might be able to put the odds in our favor."

"But we're not going to straight-up attack them, we're going to ambush them. We're not going to ambush them from above, the side, but ambushing them from underground."

"How? You guys might not know this but under the town square, there is another tunnel which was the sewer system. It might be disgusting and nasty but we don't have much of a choice. If we could somehow break the ground that the mutants are standing on and plunge them down into the sewer. We can attack the mutants all at once and they'd take immense damage from the fall and the incoming attacks."

"I don't think they're going to be able to react in time due to the unexpected ambush and timing. We're going to gather everyone, explain the plan to them, and proceed with the plan," said Ena.

"When are we going to attack them? asked Ellie.

"Depending on how long it'll take to do everything before we ambush them, we're probably going to attack ten minutes before their plan starts," Ena replied.

"So what you're saying is that we need to spread the plan to our royal members right now?" asked Ellie.

"Yep, otherwise this plan won't work and I can't think of any other way to eliminate an army of mutants. I'd say you should get going now while Marie and I go back to our residence. My parents will be back soon and Alice too." said Ena.

"Well, I think we should go get ready, there isn't much time left," said Ivy.

Everyone decided to go back to their residences to get ready for their plan. Although their nervousness didn't show on the outside, they were filled with anxiety and distress.

What if the plan doesn't succeed? If that happened, what would happen to them? Would they be enslaved or executed on the spot? Whatever it was, they didn't want to find out, the plan needed to succeed no matter what.

Meanwhile...

"Alianor, our plan is almost good to go," said Alex.

"I know, the excitement of ruling the world is filling me up," said Alianor.

"Definitely, my family bloodline will live on forever. Our family history will never be tainted, everything will stay as it is. With this magic of mine, everything is for me to rule. Of course, you will stay by my side to watch this happen." said Alden.

"We'll be with each other as we ascend to the higher realms, we'll leave everything below us, and focus on everything above us. Even god won't stand against us, we'll become gods ourselves if he does become our enemy," said Alianor.

"Father, once everything ends, what will happen?" asked Alex.

There was clear curiosity in his eyes, it made him look like Alex before he was corrupted. But that was all in the past, let's focus on the present.

"What will happen once everything ends eh? What do you think Alianor?" asked Alden.

"Hmm, everything will end one day, that's for sure. However, everything we've done will be written down in history, that way it'll last forever. So to answer your question, I don't think our plans will end when we finish them. There will always be people who'll pick it up and history will repeat once again." said Alianor.

Ena who was listening to this couldn't believe it, these people really were crazy! She was wondering why her father wasn't home and only her mother came back. Alden was actually back at the underground tunnel discussing his plans with Alianor and Alex.

Ena was extremely lucky she was able to sneak out with Marie's help. Though it was quite weird Alice passed out once she got into bed, at least she wasn't manipulated.

*RUMBLE* *RUMBLE*

The sounds of the army moving throughout the tunnel could be heard. With each step, it caused the floor to shake a bit. It was kind of amazing how the floor was able to hold up the mutants.

"Project Apex will now start, this is going to be a sight to see," said Alden.

"Of course, after all the work we've put into this, it's definitely going to be satisfying," said Alianor.

While they were in awe, Ena was horrified. She couldn't make out the words to describe the things she was seeing. All of the mutants look different, their height nearly reached eight feet, their bodies were much more muscular, the atmosphere they gave off could make someone tremble in fear.

Their halos were different too, they used to be black and white but now it was fully black. Ena wondered if the change in the halo's color caused the mutants to go stronger or did the change in the halo's color meant that the halo evolved.

Whatever it was, it wasn't a good thing. Ena knew there wasn't much time left, everyone could be in danger, especially Alice.

Using her chi concealment, Ena swiftly escaped and made her way towards their meeting place. There were only ten minutes left until their time of the ambush.

She could only hope everything was ready.
