War I

Everyone was now in their perfect position, they all surrounded the wide deep hole that was right below them. They were currently waiting for the mutants to walk over the floor that was above the deep hole. Their timing needed to be on point otherwise only a few or none at all would fall. Although the pressure was heavy on their shoulders, their determination made the pressure feel like nothing.

*RUMBLE*

There was a slight rumbling coming from the floor above them, which meant the mutants were coming closer to the ambush they were set up. The royal members held out their hands and prepared their magic, they were ready to attack at any time. Ellie was warming up by circulating her chi through her body, she needed to use her chi accurately to not waste any, especially when she still had a weaker body and was younger.

The floor above them was starting to shake more and more. It was only a matter of time until they were going to bring the floor above them down. Ena used her chi detection to see how far they were from the hole, surprisingly, they were closer than she expected. Circulating the chi to her vocal cords to make her voice louder, she started counting down.

"3!"

"2!"

"1!"

"Attack now!"

*BOOM*

Fireballs, ice shards, air slashes, and earth spikes were shot above the ceiling above them. After they shot it, they immediately took a few steps back to avoid the chunks of rubbles that were coming down above them. As the floor above them started to come down as huge giants started to rain from above.

*BOOM *BOOM*

The impact of the mutants falling into the end of the deep hole made loud echoing noises. Everyone started firing magic attacks at the mutants that were falling, even though they were surprised at the size of the mutants, they didn't stop. The only thing on their mind was killing the mutants as soon as possible.

"There's quite a lot of them falling," Marie said.

"I know, but don't get distracted. Sooner or later, the mutants will stop moving and there will be no more mutants to attack. When that happens, we need to immediately fly to the floor above them and charge at them straightforwardly. Unless we can somehow find a way to sneak up on them, that would be much better." Ena said.

Ena circulated her chi towards her palm, creating a lightning bolt, and projected it towards the falling mutants. Each shot was accurate, it pierced through the mutants head with ease, but that wasn't enough, with her other hand, she created a sharp blade of chi, and aimed it towards the mutants halo to secure the kill.

Alex who was in the back of the army was confused about why the mutants suddenly stopped.

"What happened?" Alex asked.

"There's a big hole that appeared in front of us, it seems like an ambush was planned, master." the mutant replied.

"An ambush?"

Alex frowned at what he heard, walking to the front of the army, he examined the wide hole below them and the bodies of the mutants that were dead on the end of the deep hole. He could tell the wounds on their body were done by magic but he couldn't tell who was the one that attacked them.

That was when he suddenly felt his instincts scream, he immediately projected a fireball from his right palm and shot it right behind him. But he was left confused when he shot at nothing.

"You thought."

Looking down, he was surprised, his little sister appeared and was attacking him. Due to his surprise, he couldn't block the incoming kick that hit his stomach.

*POOTH*

Alex exhaled a puff of air since the force of the kick was so strong. It wasn't just a regular kick though, there was a thin layer of chi covering her feet that were naked to the human eye. Ena knew her physical abilities wouldn't be able to hurt Alex at all, that's why she decided to cover her feet with chi. However, if she kept it covered with chi, her chi would start decreasing gradually, that was why she only covered the body parts she used to attack.

"MASTER!" the mutants yelled.

"Calm down, I'll deal with her, go attack the ones in the back," Alex ordered.

Ena was surprised, she made sure to hide their presence from Alex by using the secret route there was in the back but that didn't work. Moreover, when did these mutants learn to speak their language.

"My dear little sister, I never expected you to be the one attacking us. I knew someone was targeting us with our father's information but I never expected it to be you. How depressing, it hasn't even been a few days since we've reunited. How's my twin?" Alex asked with a smile.

Ena narrowed her eyebrows, "As expected, his intuition is still on point despite being old. Alice and I aren't your siblings anymore, you're not even yourself." said Ena.

"What're you talking about?" Alex asked as he spread his arms, "I'm the same older brother you had from years ago, I haven't changed at all." Alex said with a smile, his glistening white teeth showed.

"Don't lie to me or yourself, I know your plans and the person you're working with," said Ena.

"It doesn't matter if you know our plan or not, it'll succeed no matter what you do. How about this? I'll give you a chance to join forces with us, all of us will be enlightened and descend to a higher realm, how about it?" Alex asked.

"You're crazy if you'd think I'd accept, that's just like giving up my will. Plus, we're going to stop this absurd plan of yours one way or another, even if it means killing you and father." Ena said.

Alex let out a sigh, "I wish we could be together once again, having fun with just the three of us. But it seems like that won't happen, I'll have to eliminate you along with your friends back there." said Alex.

"You can try but it's not happening," Ena said

"Then let us see my sister, show me how strong you've become over the past years," Alex said with a wide grin.

Ena's expression turned serious, "Then let's do this, unlike the old times, I won't get knocked out instantly!"
