Chapter 226 - An Unfamiliar Room

"Hot chocolate. You should try some, these are the best!" 

Vicky looked at the cup placed next to the bed. She took it, and smelled the sweet smell of chocolate.

"Be careful. It's a little hot!" Harper said. 

Vicky looked at her, and then brought the cup to her mouth. She took a sip from it. It was sweet and refreshing.

"This is good!" Vicky said with a small smile.

"I knew you'd like it," Harper said, with a grin.

"Did you make it?" Vicky asked, while taking another sip.

"Yeah! My mom taught me how to make it, before she died," Harper replied.

"Oh! What happened to your mom?" Vicky asked. She immediately regretted it, as she saw Harper's smile fade away. "I'm sorry! I shouldn't have asked that."

"No! It's fine. She… uhm… She paid the price for the things dad did. They both paid the price!" Harper replied.

"I'm sorry!" Vicky said.
