Chapter 6 _

Truthfully, she had glanced at the newspaper as she rushed out of her house that morning and the taxi driver had tuned into the news through his taxi's radio as well so she only knew bits of what was going on. She could not help but think that the mismatched news she heard would end up causing her trouble but she had no choice but to try her luck.

She did not need to wait at all because Raine had answered on the first ring. "Is there a problem?"

"No Ma'am, I want to report today's news to you."

"Very well, you can carry on."

Rose thought deeply and began to piece the information together. She had always been blessed with a photographic and echoic memory.

She decided to start with the news she had skimmed through. "One of the warehouses that Clifford group of companies uses, specifically the one in country T that is used to store unrefined gems exploded yesterday night and it is said that there are leads that might be able to link the case to terrorists so the government has ordered a thorough check on each member of the company for any possible relationship with a terrorist."

"President Raine, I heard that the third young master of the Clifford Company was kicked out of the family house because of his negative reputation and rumors connecting him with thugs. Do you think it is possible he might have staged the explosion or might even be working with terrorists?" April had asked with the curiosity of a gossiper but for a long while she did not receive any answer.

"President Raine?" She asked confusedly trying to recall if she had made a mistake somewhere.

"Carry on…" Raine had responded quietly and April resumed her story telling. She spoke a bit about everything from business deals to stock, to entertainment gossip, to the health sector and she had only stopped when Raine had told her it was enough.

Rose did not resume later that day neither did she come back during the week so all her jobs were being done by April. After her experience the first day, April made sure to listen to the news every morning before resuming work.

However, April as a natural gossiper did not know how to brief information so she basically gossiped to Raine every morning for about one and a half weeks.

At first, Raine had found it odd and uncomfortable but she later got used to it and anticipated the gossipy questions April had for her. Even though she had never ever replied to her questions which she did not have to as April would ask and answer her question herself without waiting for Raine's response, she had found it a refreshing change.

The day Rose resumed, she walked in during April's report and was shocked to hear how she reported the news to Raine. However, as Raine did not mention anything about it, she let it go, sorted out April's work for her and resumed her own work.

As she started briefing Raine about the news the next day, Raine had felt something was missing in the report and it bothered her the whole day. The following day, she realized what was odd about the report and found out that the report was too robotic.

It felt like a voice recorder was reporting back some details to her, the animated expressions and the contagious excitement April had when reporting the news was missing and she felt weird and unable to listen to the news so she told Rose to meet with April and learn how she reported the news.

Rose could not understand what was going on but decided to obey her boss and learnt under April for two months before she could get the gossipy spirit. Throughout those two months, April had been the person giving Raine news reports and she had successfully turned them into gossips.

It was during that process that she was able to become free around both Raine and Rose and from then on, she became their gossip partner.

"Ohh President Raine, guess what I heard today? The entertainment news said that they have sufficient evidence to prove that Kim Rachel and the Film mogul, Roy Kim are relatives." April mentioned with great enthusiasm while Rose choked on her spaghetti. She chewed it correctly and took a glass of water before turning to face April directly.

"What do you mean by that? Roy Kim and the Kim Rachel we know?" Rose asked with seriousness and April nodded her head a lot before joining Rose to stare at Raine.

Raine who had been enjoying a cup of fragrant tea was initially taken aback by the sudden stares thrown her way. She put down her cup of tea and returned their stare. For two full minutes there was nothing else but an intense stare down between the three parties.

"President Raine is the rumor about them true? Is film mogul really related to Director Kim?" April asked when she could take no more of the silence.

Raine looked at April and furrowed her eyebrows. She tried her best to remember who the present film mogul was but even though she had heard a lot of entertainment news from April, she couldn't remember a thing about him.

"The film mogul's stage name is Roy Kim but his true name is Roy Kingsley, Ma'am" Rose chipped in when she saw Raine's confused expression.

"Ohh…" Raine said and continued to drink her tea as she left the two women hanging.

April waited for an extra minute before her impatience kicked in once again. "You know about them? Ms. President?"

Raine turned to April and raised one of her eyebrow. April smiled sheepishly as she saw Raine's expression. She knew she had asked a foolish question, it was obvious her boss would know about them as Kim Rachel was her best friend. She knew she was crossing the line but she was at the point where she could care less.

When Raine noticed that both of her subordinates were about to lose their cool, she took a bite out of her tiramisu cake and spoke. "They are not yet relatives but will be once they get married."

"What?!!!"
