Chapter 10 _

As they were about to get to the airport, April finally found the courage to speak. Even though she hadn't worked with Rose for long, the instant she had been accepted by Raine, she had been briefed on the codes and rules of the Peters family so she understood the severity of a purple code.

The assistant to the heir of the Peters family needed to know about the family to prevent any mistakes and to know the right decisions to make at all times.

Moreover, there would be situations where the assistant would need to replace her boss. In such situations, she would behave as the heir and have full authority to make decisions in her stead. To prevent biased and bad judgments, it was also a necessity.

"Madam, I'm sorry for asking but why was your sister sent to you. If her crime was that heavy shouldn't the head of the family carry out the judgment."

The instant Rose heard April's voice she already had a bad feeling and things had progressed just as she had been afraid of.

Although April knew about the rules of the Peters family, she had not spent enough time with them to know their traits and their methods of scheming. It was probably one of the reasons why Raine had told her to investigate Bleü Raine instead of her and also one of the reasons she was going to accompany Raine to her family home tomorrow.

She needed to understand more about the Peters family or else she would end up dragging Raine down instead of helping her.

"You will understand soon," Raine muttered with resignation.

April was about to speak again but a slight glance at Rose made her shut her mouth permanently.

"Madam, is it okay for us to pick her up like this without taking reinforcements?" Rose asked worriedly.

However, it seemed like Raine had gotten to her daily speaking threshold because she did not reply nor did she acknowledged the fact that someone had been speaking to her, and that worried Rose.

She knew more than anyone else that this was a trap and she knew that her boss was aware as well but she still decided to bite their bait.

She was not too worried about what they might encounter at the airport or the aftermath of Raine's decision for she knew Raine was capable of solving all her problems. What she was concerned about was deeper than all of that; she was concerned about the present head of the family, Raine's father.

She could not understand why he would willingly send his most beloved daughter over to Raine to investigate even though he knew that the other relatives were probably scheming. He had never played around with his loved ones especially his most important last child. He was always so proactive in any of her matters so why the sudden change?

Rose could only think about three instances in which such a situation could gave developed from.

The first was that this was yet another test orchestrated by Raine's father to examine her eligibility for succession. But Rose felt like this type of situation was redundant as Raine had shown her capability over and over again. If Benjamin Peters wanted to re-test her then he would gave given her a more complex and mentally draining situation so that was out of the question.

Her second guess was that Rosalina had fallen out with her family even before the so-called offense she had committed but she knew the Peters head family and knew how impossible that was. Master Benjamin would have detained her for over three months if she even had a thought of hurting her mother in that manner.

Rose looked out of the window for a while then turned back to stare at Raine with a sinking heart. Since both guesses were not feasible then that meant the last option which was that they had become victims of voice phishing! And if what she had thought was right then even much more than ever they had to be cautious.

Rose sighed and resigned herself to their predicament. She knew that if she could have done a simulation to guess what was going on then Raine who was much smarter and had great instincts would also have done the same so there was no need to start worrying or calling her attention to it.

The only way she could help Raine was by keeping a tight leash on April and by not dragging her down.

Raine alighted the car, bypassed the main entrance, and walked over to the private entrance to her family's hangar. As if awaiting her arrival, the manager and his party of employees were stationed there. They bowed on sighting her.

"Young Mistress has arrived." Director Shen started with reverence.

Director Shen Ying had been working for Master Benjamin ever since he had been a teen and he was in charge of all aircraft and other transport vehicles owned by the P&J conglomerate.

"Hmm. Uncle Shen is here too, so unexpected." Raine commented before turning to face the person immediately behind him.

The lady bowed lower when she felt Raine stare and she humbly stammered words from her mouth. "You-nnn-ng Mist-rrr-ess."

"Where is your lady?"

"The Second Miss is being entertained in the manager's office." She said as she trembled with fear. Even without facing Raine directly, she could feel her suppressed rage.

"Good! Very Fantastic!!!" Raine ground out and everyone froze. They were scared of even muttering a sound as they knew how volatile she presently was.

"Ms. Raine, I will bring you to her." A voice appeared from nowhere and Raine turned to see a confident lady walking over to her.

Director Shen raised an eyebrow then adjusted his expression while every other person present cried for the fool who selflessly presented herself as a scapegoat in their heart.

Well, April and Rose didn't really care about her, they were patiently and earnestly waiting to see the drama that was about to unfold. It had been long since they had seen Raine in action. April hadn't ever seen her but she had heard stories from Rose and her other colleagues in the office.

"Bring me to her?!" Raine muttered look icily and the lady smiled as she moved in front of Raine.

"Yes! I can esco..."

A loud slap resounded and those around except Director Shen, Rose and April flinched.

Raine approached the lady who had fallen from the slap she had given her. "Escort me?! You must be out if your mind! Rose, tie up this idiot who dared to speak to the next head rudely. I want her investigated, find out the person who had guts to bring her in."

Rose bowed and went out to make a call while April guarded the lady to prevent her from escaping.

"You! Go drag that criminal here!!" Raine said as she pointed to Rosalina's maid who shook and scurried off.

Director Shen turned to Raine and bowed once more. "Young Mistress, please calm down. I shall take responsibility for this misconduct and shall personally get to the bottom of it."

Raine calmed herself and nodded her head. "I feel much relieved to leave things in Uncle Shen's hands but I except an explanation from the manager."

Director Shen smiled and understood what Raine was driving at so he nodded his head and showed his support to her. "Of course, Young Mistress can do whatever she likes to Manager Justina."

"Hmm." Raine hummed with a bright smile that told everyone of the torture that was about to befall the manager or rather former manager of the hangar.
