“ . . . . . . And that”, I finished, “Is my story”. Adrian looked at me in the eyes as if trying to decide what he wanted to do. “Well”, he mused, “that was a long story, might as well write a book on it someday”.
“You think so?”, I demanded- the idea had never occurred to me before but it couldn’t be that bad.
“You never know”
The three of us spent the next day on the ship, occasionally helping around. The RADAR of the ship was kicking on full power yet there was no sign of the black warship. “They couldn’t have gone very far”, Alph complained as he banged his hand on the railing.
“It must be like the captain said”, I spoke, “maybe they are moving too slow for the sensors to pick up”.
“Our friends are out there”, Alph exclaimed, “been two days now”.
I looked for something inspiring to say, but nothing came to my mind, “we’re going to find them”, I spoke, patting him on his shoulder, “I know it”.
