Do you feel it?

"You have an hour to complete the test," James informed the students as he started taking rounds around the class to ensure no one is cheating. The only thing James found weird was a boy just sat still. He looked outside the windows, upon the clouds as he had the urge to fly in the sky.

James wanted to ask that boy, "Are you not going to give your test?" but he knew, It was none of his business. So, he just ignored it.

The boy still didn't write. He stared out of the window with exhaustion in his eyes. Wonder what he thought maybe, He was just spacing out.

"Only 15 minutes are left," James informed the class hoping that this time, the boy would finally pick a pen and write. But the boy didn't care. Maybe, something more was important to him than a test. The class ended, James collected sheets from everyone. When the boy turned in his blank sheet, it had a name engraved "Chen".

James slightly smiled at the boy as he thought, "What made this kid so worried that he can no longer write?"

He glances over her like she is all he needs. "Irenie" "Hm?" She asks. "I'm happy to have you" Irenie smiles as she believes his words. He embraces her. "What would you be doing right now if you have stayed in the city?" "hm...Probably Struggle with the company stuff, I would get stressed to the point I have diabetes probably." "Hahaha. Seems right." "You know, I always thought I need to achieve everything and be best to be worth enough. But, When I met you, I found I was wrong. Meeting you made me realized that I was wrong. I don't need any money or power. I love staying in this countryside, with these books and classes, this cottage, Chero, and you. That's all I need. Because that's where my happiness lies." "You mean I make you happy?" "Yea. You do." What makes me happier is Me. I love the 'me' I am with you." Irenie smiles and kisses him. He kisses her back and, both of them drift away to sleep.

Evan wakes up, embarrassed and clueless. It took him a while to know what he had just dream. "God damn Evan you are a school teacher!!!!" He shouts as he hides his face in the pillow. He slowly puts the pillow away and stares at Irenie's picture, which he stole from James.

Irenie wasn't perfect. Her dark circles were obvious of her late nights, Her lips chapped because she was dehydrated, and her awkward smile.

But that's what made her, her. Irenie was beautiful, with all her flaws and all her mistakes.

Evan steps down the stairs like he is a spy. He wanted to avoid Sham, perhaps he didn't want another lecture. "Evan" Sham said as Evan fell. "Ouche" Evan shouts. "Are you okay??".

Sham lifts Evan, "You are going to school? he asked." Evan nods back. "You need to go to the city.Now." Evan looks at Sham with confusion. "Wait, why?!" He questions as he gets replied with "You don't belong here."

Evan lost his temper. "Where do I belong then?! This is my home, the place I was born!! Where do I belong? Or do you want to push me? Am I that unbearable? I-I get that, I am useless." Evan was broken to tears now. He didn't know what he felt. In the rush of the moment, he felt everything he tried not to.

"I'll leave. soon, but not now." He left leaving Sham in guilt. It was a long day, tho it just started. "You cried?" Evan looks at his teacher. "N-no" He answers. "You are bad at lying." "I know."

Teacher- "So, why did you cry?"

Evan- "If I had known why, I would have fixed it."

Teacher-"You forgot what it is?"

Evan-"...."

Teacher- "It's 9th October, you kid."

Evan was about to fall but his teacher holds him. "....I...Have to go." Evan leaves in a hurry, he runs towards a flower shop. "White carnations." He says, breathlessly.

He sits on a bus, away from people. It stops around a valley, more likely a graveyard. He comes down as the breeze hits his face. He moves future, through the graves of strangers. What story may those graves hold? They were once people like us, who smiled and cried.

How beautiful is it, the end? That's maybe how pain is. Numb and silent. Evan gets on his knees in front of a grave. "I'm.....home. Lacy." He says barely holding himself back from crying. Evan was an adult now. But Adults, cry too.

"Look. I brought you carnations. It must be lonely here, right? Don't worry. I'll join you soon." He says as he for the last time looks around the graves extending to the pastures.

He once again sat on the bus. He was no longer unemployed but he knew this wasn't where he belonged. Where does this all lead to? Is life even worth it? "A look....in somebody's eyes.....to light up the sky" he whispers.

"A voice that says I'll be here....and you'll alright...." He sings the song, hoping it to have another ending. He learned a lesson, He can't change the endings that happen, but the endings that will happen.
