"And we wouldn't want it any other way. It's hard to wrap my head around the fact that we won't see her beautiful face anymore." He blinked his eyes shut and blew out a breath. "Maureen and Kevin are the Godparents to our ten-year-old son, Ryan, and they're strong advocates of my reelection campaign." His face suddenly went grim. "I can't begin to tell you how much she will be missed."
"I understand Maureen attended your reelection campaign dinner on Wednesday evening." He nodded in agreement. "Can you tell us if there was anything out of the ordinary that caught your attention?"
"No," he said with a smile, dragging out the word for emphasis, "she was the same feisty woman we all know and love."
"Feisty? In what way?" Sorrentino asked.
"We had a difference of opinion about my campaign, but we worked it out."
"Can you tell us about that?"
"It wasn't any big deal. Maureen thought I should handle a situation differently than I was."
"What kind of situation?"
