"What's that! Does the prof have a mood on so I'm not ready for the recite! I thought, I'm still open?"

Heart had been complaining about our recite earlier. Suddenly, prof called him. He is still confident that he will retire tomorrow. So he got an ax grade because he couldn't answer and couldn't master the republic act. I would have liked to laugh at him because of his face, you just look at him and he will really laugh.

"I told you to be prepared. Don't rely on my schedule with a prof who is always present." I said in the matter of fact. Honestly, you never know what will happen. Sometimes the recite is delayed. Sometimes advance too. That depends on those who will answer my recite with follow up questions from prof. Sometimes, others don't answer enough, so he followed up with questions. It's also annoying because it seems like you're just confused.

"I hate him already! Ugh! I don't want to fall so!"

I looked at him. "Then, you should study well. You're a law student. You should know the consequences or else you're guilty." I replied.

"Ah, just! I hate him already! I wish you were in my position, Kane. You must have made a serious insult." My face went with what he said.

"What? I don't know that! And... don't get me involved in that! It's like you!" I spat.

"Since you have a kiss on your forehead, so it's okay with you. Maybe even if you failed in the recite earlier, you're still happy." she concluded. I can't believe her!

"And where did you get the news?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Here," he once pointed into her eyes.

"You're stealing my privacy."

"I have my consent."

"With whom?"

"Kay Daddy." She replied.

"S-your Daddy ?!" I was shocked by what he said. How did he end up with Daddy?!

"Woah. Not literally my Dad, you bitch. It's Daddy James Ivan Langford, baby."

What the fuck?

"What did he say?" I don't want to ruin anything, because we're okay. We are okay, but we would have been better but what is this?

"Nothing. He told me to watch him over. Maybe you'll separate him." she said.

"And why would I do that?" I asked again.

"Because you're a brutal woman. I hope Criminal took your course."

"Stupid. There's a criminal in the law, ah." I replied.

"That's different. You kill people while the criminal in law is passion. You get it?" It was as if I had become stupid in the tone of his voice.

"You?" I asked him.

"Why me?" She asked confused. He looked at me like a criminal.

"You're going to be that lawyer?" I asked again.

"Sure. Why? You're in trouble." she flipped her hair.

"You should have just become CCTV. Do you know why? You often get news. Super legit than legit. You're the founder of broadcasting news."

"Stupid. Don't be me. You're stupid." She rolled her eyes at me. I laughed. But you immediately disappeared with something sinking into my mind.

Shit. I told him to talk today. What time is it? I don't have his number. How can I text him that? Hey, my.

"Wait... where is Jezley? Why isn't he coming with us?" I asked.

"Duh. Are you so busy with your love life, you don't know what's going on around you. Like me," I frowned.

"Why? What about you?"

"I just applied minimal make up! I applied what I saw on YouTube! Goah. It's new to me! Didn't you notice?" He looks like a fool for irritating me so much.

"Really? Why can't I see?" It was sarcastic so the expression on his face changed.

"Because you closed your eyes. You fool."

"So where's Jezley?" I change the subject.

"With King and Harvey." she simply replied. King and Harvey were our block mates but I'm not super close to the boys. Because I don't want to. The two of them are closer but they are okay with me.

"Why is he there going?" Of course. We are his friend then he prefers there? Well, my friend is just really jealous.

"You're so numb. Jezley is in a business relationship. Let it go. It's only once to flirt. It's always necessary to the bone. Do you really have a love life?"

Wow, I'm ashamed of what he did to me from the beginning. I still remember when he set James and me in the coffee shop to talk, then the next day I would be disappointed because I didn't kiss. The time he sent Langford to the coffee shop, yesterday for my birthday. What, he hasn't umepal in that situation yet?

"Fine. But aren't they best friends?" I asked. Yeah. I'm not a snob for not meeting other acquaintances of Heart and Jezley. I'm their friends, no, we're friends too. It's simple.

"Exactly. That's why it's business."

"Tsk. I'm going somewhere now. Go first." He raised an eyebrow.

"And where else?" Her hands cross over her flat and wall chested.

"It's just a business." I said before I waved my hand to her. I gave my sweetest smile before I see her rolling her eyes. Almost white.

"Are you still there?" I opened when I saw him reading. We are now at my coffee shop where we used to talk. He's very clean because of his white uniform. I couldn't find her necklace so I ignored it. I sat down in front of him so he folded the book he had been reading earlier. That bored so he will wait for me? It's Heart's fault.

"Not really." he said in a monotone voice. He looked at me so I immediately avoided. There we are again he thinks, e. Aren't you used to it, Kane? My God. Do I need to get used to that? We'll just talk now but I feel like we'll always meet after this. Damn it.

I nodded. I adjusted my pencil shirt as I sat down. It's too short but I prefer it because I can walk well. I put my Gucci bag beside me. I also saw that he had water in-order. He must have been here before. It's embarrassing!

"I'm sorry I took so long. I'm have some news right there so... because I'm Heart so..." I trailed off. "So I'm just now."

He gave me his sweet smile. I got infected so we both smiled. Does it look like I watched it in the movie? The scene is familiar.

"You know what, it's okay. It's better for men to be ahead of women." my forehead wrinkled. I do not get it. What is this again? Is it logical that I have to guess whatever the answer is?

"Ha? What do you mean?" I asked confused.

His lips rose. "What I mean is that, if you're going into a date, it's okay to be late compared to boys. Boys like us must be earlier," he explained. Suddenly I felt so red! I do not know! Don't tell her it's a date! She's a whore!

"If you don't mind my rudeness, I don't consider this as a date if that's what you're thinking Mr. Langford. We just have to talk and eat very simple. No more hard feelings but plain and platonic." I explained to him. I hope he is enlightened that I do not want. That I don't want to commit to that. I understand why some girls are so fond of finding their prince charming. But when that comes, fear of commitment. Just like me. Except for finding the prince charming because I wasn't there then. Only in the book do they exist. They are not real.

I can feel his amusement with my words but suddenly his eyes were a blazing fire. I don't know I'm just paranoid but that's what I see. He adjusted his seat while playing with the glass in front of him. He kept his gaze there, as if that was the only thing he could see in the whole world.

I sneezed. He looked at me. "Can we talk now?" I asked.

"We're already talking," he said very cold. The aura on his face changed. You are too serious compared to before! Is he angry? It's my fault again ?! He is back to being a philosopher!

"What are we going to talk about?" I asked again. I'm trying to be nice here. So please do the same as well.

"What is it?" His answer was a warning.

"Say it. I still have to finish something. I'm still studying for my recit. I might miss another if I can't-" he cut me off. He stood up.

"Study well." He said before going outside without any words.

I close my eyes because of what he did. I immediately grabbed my bag before following him outside and I caught up with him in his car.

"Wait! James! Let's talk. I thought we were going to talk?" I asked. He looked at me lazily.

"I thought so too." His voice was still cold as ice. Even though it was hot now, it was as if thousands of ice had passed through my body. He got into his car so I immediately approached.

"James! What's up! Let's talk!" I shouted as I smashed the windshield of his car.

"You're so being childish! I should be the one to act and not you! If I've done something you should tell me right away. I don't even have to think about what I did and what you probably don't want!"

"Come in." he said coldly.

The last time I went inside his car was very bad for both of us. I don't want to do it again, because the last time I did was very terrible. Because I didn't want to make him angry, I didn't yell anymore so I immediately got into his car.

"Talk," I said.
