Broken Window - Quarrel

Putri looks like a thief in her own house, sneaking in the night. Her steps stopped when she saw the lights of her father's and mother's workroom were still on. She reversed her steps because she heard the voices of her parents speaking.

Putri thought, maybe she would say hello to her parents for a while before climbing into her bedroom. Just as Putri was about to take another step, her father's voice was loud and emotional.

"How is that possible, Ana? Why didn't you tell me right away? I'm disappointed with your attitude, which is like this!" Bambang looks very annoyed.

Mariana just stared at her husband's attitude and was still in disbelief.

"Enough, Bam! Enough! Tonight, you had ruined our dinner." Mariana replied loudly. "Can't you hold back, even for a moment?" Mariana continued the conversation, this time with her back to her husband.

"Don't tell me you've known about our twin sons! And what they both did." Bambang asked suspiciously, staring at Mariana's back, who still didn't want to look at her.

"Bam, after all, they are my children. Surya and Roy are enough to become victims of your selfishness," Mariana replied.

Bambang's emotions were out of control. He approached his wife and turned her body very roughly.

Mariana was surprised to see her husband's reaction. "Why? You don't accept if I talk like this?" Mariana said without fear, while her husband's face was already starting to turn red.

"I thought when I decided to marry you. You could change your attitude. And I could protect my children. But didn't." Mariana continued.

"What do you mean?" asked Bambang with full of emotion, looking at his wife.

"You are too selfish. Even our children have no right to determine their path in life," Mariana emphasized her voice even more. While Bambang squeezed his wife's shoulder tighter.

"Selfish, you say? Look at my current hard work. With the current state, you say I'm still selfish?" Bambang answered in self-defense.

Mariana forcibly removed her husband's grip and shifted away from him.

"Enough, Bam! You just continue the hard work of your parents. And regarding your Hard Work matter. There are other ways, Bam! But not with my children." Mariana's voice was shaking and still holding back her emotions.

Her husband approached her, "They are my children too." Bambang replied.

"With everything that's happened, do you still deserve to be their father?" Mariana answered louder.

Putri is not sure if her mother's voice can only hear in the workroom. She was even sure she didn't have to eavesdrop to listen to her parents' bickering, which can be heard throughout the room.

Bambang, who was emotional when he heard his wife's words, subconsciously threw a hard slap to Mariana's face. Although Putri did not see directly, she was very sure of the sound of the slap.

Putri was very afraid of the commotion of their parents, which she had only heard and witnessed for the first time. For a moment, she does not hear the voices of her father and mother,

A second later, Mariana came out from behind the workroom.

Mariana was quite surprised by her daughter's presence, and she also saw the face of her daughter who looked at her worriedly.

Putri's facial expression was more shocked than her mother's. Putri saw her mother was full of tears and came out holding her cheek.

Putri wanted to hug her mother right away, but Mariana first touched Putri's face gently and meaningfully. Then quickly left Putri.

There was a loud sound of the door opening and closing. Mariana decided to leave the house, and after that, the sound of a speeding car was heard. Putri is sure that her mother has left the house.

Putri was still frozen in silence behind the workroom, awakened from her daydream when someone touched her shoulder.

Roy was behind Putri, and his face looked tired. Putri looked at her brother sadly but couldn't say a word to Roy.

"Go back to your room Putri, now," Roy ordered slowly.

Putri nodded slowly and walked away from Roy and the workroom. She glanced back and saw Roy enter the workroom. She hopes her brother can calm her father's feelings.

Putri did not decide to go straight to the room. She had thought that her parents' quarrels, must be heard in this house.

Where are all her brothers? Why did they just stay in their bedroom (that's what Putri thought at the time)

In fact, after one by one, she checked her brother's bedroom. Neither Raja, Rafa, Rian, nor Wira was seen in their room. Even her sister-in-law Renata was nowhere to be seen.

Putri checked back one by one in every room, except her parents' workroom. But she did not find any other brothers.

Desperately, Putri checked the kitchen and saw that a maid - Lastri was still busy cleaning up the rest of the dinner.

Lastri who noticed Putri's presence immediately greeted Putri gently.

"Miss. Putri? Why do you go to the kitchen? Do you want to eat? Do you want me to prepare something for you?" Lastri asked to smile.

But Putri was sure, a moment before Lastri asked her. Putri saw the housekeeper was wiping her tears. Putri did not answer Bi Lastri's question. Instead, she walked over to her.

"What happened at dinner? What happens when I don't come to dinner?" asked Putri with a sharp look.

Lastri had not had time to answer Putri's question because Putri had already asked another question.

"And where are my other brothers? Why aren't they home?" asked Putri, and Lastri looked at her doubtfully.

"Uhmm... Mrs. Renata hasn't been around since the afternoon. Because she has to go back to Kalimantan for urgent business, and..., " Lastri's words stopped, and this time she didn't dare to look at Putri.

"And what? Explain to me," urged Putri quickly.

"Raja, Rafa, Rian, and Wira. After dinner, they decide to go straight out. I don't know where they went," answer Lastri.

Putri didn't stay in the kitchen for long because Lastri didn't give her much information either.

Putri decided to go back to her bedroom. When she passed Roy's room, the door was still open. She didn't even find Roy, who didn't seem to have returned from the workroom.

Putri did not immediately change her clothes, curled up on the bed, and felt a deep sadness.

The first time she saw her parents had a big fight. All this time, Putri always sees her mother, who is stronger and tougher. Putri returned to remembering her mother's face that came out with tears, making Putri even more sad and unable to hold back her tears.

Putri sends texts to her brothers.

Chat to King:

Where are you?

Chat with Rafa:

Where are you?

Chat to Rian:

Where are you?

Chat to Wira:

Where are you?

Chat to My Mom:

Where are you, mom? Are you ok?

Putri is still clutching her phone tightly, hoping to get a reply from one of her older brothers and mother.

In the end, her eyes filled with tears again. And Putri began to cry sadly and sob. This is the second night for her to cry and feel sad. But his sadness now is far different from her fight with Mega.
