POV Izuku Midoriya, Age 13

*CRACKKK*

I blocked a hit from master as I was forced down onto one knee. As a foot came from the other side, I rolled to the side.

My legs grew in mass and hair as the muscle form changed, allowing me to jump away in time once again as a similar leg cracked the stone underneath.

Me: Sensei! I thought this was just a spar!

Mirko: It's a spar as long as no one dies!!! Hahahahahahaha! Now try to stop me my adorable little minion!

It has been years since I have received my Zoan quirk and have since had the ability of a rabbit. I tried to train on my own and faced little success other than raising my physical abilities.

Not that it wasn't helpful but it was nothing like the knowledge and experience of apprehending villains or even the basics of how to fight. It was simply increasing my stamina as well as my strength through hours upon hours of workout…or rather pulling away trash from the local beach.

It was a complete coincidence of how I came to be the Rabbit Hero Mirko's unofficial sidekick an student as well as All Might's substitute student. Well…it wasn't really official since I didn't have his power but rather hearing his lessons and stories and trying to put them to use.

It began with a sludge villain attack followed by my hysterical hold on All Might as he exited the scene. The moment I saw his true form, he and I both knew I would be free to go. Thankfully, his connections with a specific Rabbit Hero which sumarrized to 'I heard you were looking for a successor, I think I found him' was what happened; well…there was more about Anarchy (formerly known as Snowfallen) and how his quirk would be used to defeat her and bring her to justice.

The only problem being that All Might was slow dying and the only industry capable of healing him was GrandLine, the very industry that was led (unknown to the rest of the world) by Anarchy…and much worse where my own quirk came from.

Even after hearing his story, I couldn't bring myself to hate the GrandLine. Despite it's known implications regarding many many international conflicts as well as exploitation of multiple situations (leaving the poor to themselves), it was still the same enterprise that gave me my new life. For now, I chose to think Anarchy and the GrandLine as separate entities.

That was, of course, until All Might had decided to choose a successor…or rather successors…technically.

The research that GrandLine did on Quirks remained mostly secret but being such a massive entity, it could not remain completely hidden away from the public. Sure, th creation of their 'Pandora's Apples' were completely hidden away and securely hidden but the research on quirks themselves were leaked…at least to some sources.

U.A, being one of the most influential groups in the world had access to this information and All Might under the instructions of Principal Nezu had decided to make full use of this small advantage. The findings were quite shocking apparently.

I wasn't allowed to know but the decision came to splitting the quirk. I would be receiving the souls of the previous holders (and in theory their quirks) while another successor (the official one chosen by Nighteye) would be receiving the original One For All itself.

Truthfully, I was jealous but it made sense in the end. I was just an outsider that All Might had happened on one day; I wasn't someone who was destined or have been confirmed by the Future-reader Nighteye himself that I was worthy of holding the quirk of the Number 1 Hero.

A black tendril emerged out of my back as I tried to grab sensei's ankle. It grabbed thin air as the ankle I tried to grab was suddenly near my face…and then the feet as well.

*SMACK*

A moment of pain and I found myself spitting out the blood on the hard stone (concrete) floor. Seriously. I swear sensei just wants someone to beat up and I was unfortunate enough to take on that role.

Well…I guess I did learn to fight with her.teeth to teeth and bone to bone. In terms of combat, she was a true savage. Through countless trials, she had learned to focus her entire being into a fight and forcibly summon force her adrenaline. In addition to that, she has managed to accept pain as part of the process while being a true master of hand to hand combat.

I was nowhere near sensei's capabilities but I was learning. Learning her styles and determination all while trying to awaken and develop more of the quirks stored within me somewhere. So far I haven't even been able to communicate with the former torchbearers like All Might had been able to. Hopefully I would reach that stage soon.

I wonder how his official successor is doing?

Mirko: Come on kid, you better focus if you don't want to get knocked out!!

Location: A Dark and secluded Port in Japan

Third Person POV

Man: No…no please!!!

*crunch* *crunch!*

The man crumpled onto the floor as the bones in the legs found that it could not longer support the weight nor the structure of his body. Like a doll with its strings cut, the man was down onto the cold asphalt floor.

The man was by no means weak nor frailly built. Donned in a black Armani suit that closely hugged his muscular figure and sharp jawline, in any other situation he would have been the central figure…but not here. Not against these people.

He was a former low ranked hero of Japan. He was ranked in the three digits not because he was weak or had a useless quirk but rather he put his role as a Hero second to his real business as an information broker.

After the underworld was seized and cleaned, he jumped ship to the GrandLine where he was assured green in his pocket and insured under their employ. For six years, it was like that…until he made a terrible terrible mistake.

He was sure there was no leakage of information or any other way for GrandLine to have known, and yet they were here. Not any GrandLine team either but the very same 'Grim Reapers' of the underworld. The Shie Hassaikai and their mysterious new Commander and and second in command, the Plague Doctor boss.

Under the shadows of the highly piled container boxes, the man was bleeding out in front of a dozen men and their captain. Every one of them dressed head to toe in official attire, full black, and had their faces covered with a mask.

Most followed the boss with a plague doctor mask but with a smaller or unique design while a couple got creative with other animal masks. A few wore the old WW2 design gas masks as well. It was only the captain herself who wore a simple black cloth mask, hugging her facial features. Her eyes still visible, glowing fiercely orange in the dark. Looking into them, it was as if there were spirals in them, ready to let loose the madness within. She was well donned in a formal suit, which on top she covered with a military style trench jacket complete with an officer's cap.

The Captain wasn't tall or short, (167cm) Her long and (very) slightly curly white hair was pulled back into a high ponytail that reached her mid back. Her figure was what most people would deem perfect and would turn many eyes on the streets. It was a shame that the captain dropped more bodies than jaws.

Captain: I thought we warned you that any and all information regarding the GrandLine are confidential to others. Did we not? Or are your ears becoming deaf? If you are, feel free to tell us, GL has the best doctors to fix it. Of course, if you were lying then we would have to remove it instead.

Such a bloody threat made so casually, the information broker cringed into himself as he tried to hold in a sob. He knew exactly what happened to others who were caught be the GrandLine, he didn't like what happened to them.

Captain: You know exactly how much this operation is important Kage-Broker. A single mistake will cost us millions.

She lightly kicked the man in the stomach as he was sent flying before crashing into the nearby containers. Although she kicked him lightly, the dent in the metal said otherwise as well as the suppressed groans of pain that came from the broken figure.

Broker: please… I had no choice!! They came to me and threatened to kill me if I didn't tell them!

Captain: Kai, how much could we lose from this operation and how much is this (she looked at the man with disgust) worth?

The boss turned to face the captain before reporting.

Kai: The investment into the operation has cost the company over one hundred and fifty million Euros; however, your personal goal is priceless isn't it captain? Other than that, we have calculated that Kage-broker to be worth 35 million Euros as of last year.

The orange eyes landed themselves once again on the huddled figure of the broker.

Captain: Do you hear that? That means you are no longer worth keeping. Kai, remove him please.

As the men surrounded the downed man and the boss began to remove his glove, the broker began to scream out his cries. Wailing the words he had held in from the very start.

Broker: You…you!!! You bastards!! You greedy fuckers!!! Blinded by your gold and positions! One day this world will see who you truly are! Villains! Filthy rich disgusting villains!! If I die here today, my database will be leaked to the world for all to see!!

Despite his threats, all it did was raise a single eyebrow from the Captain. Not of fear or worry but rather one of a sadistic amusement. It was the eye equivalent of watching a fish on dry land, struggling.

The captain walked back to the broker as he gulped. Perhaps it wasn't worth saying what he had just said.

Captain: You claim we are greedy people, blinded by our gold and position…you are entirely correct. We are a company. GrandLine was not created so this world could enjoy free healthcare of universal quirks, it was made for the sole purpose of profit of power. We are a 'Corporation'.

The Captain's right hand clenched into a fist before opening again, flexing her fingers. The action did nothing but it seemed to further threaten the nervous man who was sweating profusely.

Captain: You claim the world will see us for what we truly are. Villains? Now that is wrong, though not entirely. The thing is, the world already knows. Except for a few covert operations, the GrandLine has never bothered to hide any information; it was always the governments who hid the facts themselves to hide their reliance on us, to hide the fact that they were bribed. To calm the masses and give a false illusion that all is safe and sound…when in reality they fell deeper into our hands than anyone else.

The captain's eyes lifted as her orange pupils stared off into the distance, as if remembering an old memory. A rather pleasant one as well.

Captain: But to say we are villains…that is an insult to both myself and the Shie Hassaki. We are no dumb villains who stick to the streets selling drugs and liquors; fighting pointless wars and causing death. We are Pirates my dear broker and not once were we ashamed of that. Profit and Freedom is what we desire. We plan our strategy and ransom valuable assets. We take and explore for our freedom and we return and negotiate for a profit. That is who we are.

As the captain finished her lecture, she stood up as Kai's hand touched the man's forehead. A short scream was heard before the man was nothing but a splatter on the floor.

POV Syrup

Taking off the mask and untying my tie, I felt as if I could finally breathe again. Undoing my blazer, shirt and bra before finally lowering myself into the hot bath prepared at the hotel suite…it was bliss. I leaned back into the jacuzzi as I closed my eyes. Hopefully I wouldn't end up sleeping here, or worse melting. It happened once when I drank too much and somehow came to a conclusion that taking a hot bath while drunk as a snow logia was a good idea. I didn't touch even a single glass for a week after that happened. Kind of traumatizing to see yourself melt but also be too drunk to fully realize the dangers or control your body to stop.

It was interesting becoming 18 years of age as in my three lives I've only ever been 18 twice. In my first life before the craziness with the double-question-mark being intervened I was too busy to truly mind what was happening.

Still in college, working part time jobs and finally landing my dream job (though as an intern) had taken too much out of me to really pay attention to the passage of time; besides, our family wasn't rich nor that close to celebrate a birthday on a grand scale.

Things were different in the One Piece world as in I had a short life. My family truly loved me and looked out for each other but it never was what a family should be like Despite all of the love and care, it was still dysfunctional especially with the constant threats on our lives from all sides as well as the fact that Mama seemed especially trigger happy with her Soul Ability whenever she was experiencing her hunger pangs.

Also I never died but some specific omnipotent being forced me to leave before I turned of age…just a year more and I would have made it but I guess it was meant to be this way. I wonder if there's an alternate universe version of myself still in that world enjoying the smut that followed? Well…I guess it doesn't matter ever since my turning of age.

AN: I have finished outlining the second part of the story but the hard part only begins now…actually fucking writing it. It's always so nice to have it so perfect in your head, then you get a satisfying feeling when you turn it into a plausible outline…and then you feel hopeless at all the writing you would have to do.
