Promotion

It is a new school section and wannune's mother is trying hard to get her son promoted to the senior secondary School (sss1) after his inability to pass his junior secondary School final exams

( Mrs Abagi discussing with the principal)

Mrs Abagi: principal am so much aware that my son didn't make it out of his jss3 final exams and so therefore can't be promoted to the senior secondary School classes

Principal: yes that is the situation your son and his friends are into

Mrs Abagi: principal see, I don't want him to repeat the same class again. You need to hear me out cause he is not getting younger

Principal: come to think of it, he wasn't like this what really happened. I can remember vividly when he was admitted here at first his academic performance was good

Mrs Abagi: me my husband and daughters are very bothered about his wayward behaviors these days

Principal: here comes his class teacher, teacher Terfa come in and have a sit

Teacher: good day sir, good day ma

Mrs Abagi: how are you my son

Teacher: am fine ma, sir you sent for me

Principal: yes I did, this is wannune's mother

Teacher: oh welcome ma

Mrs Abagi: thank you my son, I actually come in respect of my son's promotion to the senior secondary School (sss1) class and I learnt that you are the one to sign his promotion result. Please I want you people to promote my son

Teacher: ma your son didn't pass his exams so I don't think it'll be possible. Moreover promoting him can even make him to be less concerned about his studies

Principal: Mrs Abagi we have considered most of your appeals you have been rendering for the sake of your son, he was almost expelled from this school but we listened to your appeals and this case is quite different

Mrs Abagi principal please if this is going to be my last appeal it's okay just grant this one for me

Principal: teacher Terfa you can go back to your class I will tell you what we have concluded

Teacher: okay sir, ma see you next time

(Teacher Terfa left and after much deliberation the principal decided to promote wannune to sss1 class and Mrs Abagi went home excited. On reaching home she meets wannune outside the house)

Mrs Abagi: what are you doing outside

Wannune: is it not papa that stopped me from entering into the house!

Mrs Abagi: but why?

Wannune: he is accusing me of stealing his friends chickens

Mrs Abagi: tell me did you do it?

Wannune: mama so you want to join papa in accusing me of what I know nothing about? (Just then his father came out and interrupt them)

Mr Tumbu: so you are still saying you know nothing about those chickens, you and your tow friends stole those chickens yesterday. And you are going to leave my house

Mrs Abagi: wannune what have we done to you that you want to kill us before our time, it's just now that am coming from your school to make sure you are promoted to the senior secondary School (sss1) class

Mr Tumbu: so what did the principal said?

Mrs Abagi: after so much pressure and appeal I rendered he finally accepted

Mr Tumbu: wannune just because of that I will give you this one last chance, you better change or leave my house (and he left them and went inside. Wannune was so relieved he happily went out to reach his friends and tell them about his promotion news)
