Gangster

Wannune is still under the manifestation of the charm his father's friend put on him and therefore have become a notorious gangster in the new town were he found himself in. What worth doing worth doing it very well, wannune and his friend are not lacking behind the saying.

They have form a gang called black pythons, they carryout heavy criminal acts in the town and other nearby cities. the people of makurdi are now living in fear and often wonder the people and motive behind the numerous criminal acts.

(Sam is one the victims of the notorious wannune and his gang, he shear his experience with the criminals to his friends who came to visit him on hearing the bad incident that happened to him)

Joe: Sam my brother how are you doing? I heard the bad incident that happened to you

Sam: yes my brother it is true, they came to my house yesterday night and robbed me of all my money and some other house appliances

Jack: wonders shall never end, who are these boys that can't let anybody sleep and wake up without hearing one bad news and the other!

Ike: brother Sam hard luck, as you know the down fall of a man is never his end

Sam: thank you my friend

Joe: Sam, jack, Ike see let me tell you guys my mind, as for me we should not sit and allow these rascals torment this whole village

Jack: I agree with you Joe, we the youth of this land we must do something before we are being chased out of our father land

Ike: it can't happen, that's not possible. Infact the part that annoys me the most is that several case have reported to the police station but to no avail, we must do something.

Sam: to do that, we need serious preparations cause these boys are dangerous and heavily armed

Joe: I suggest we call for all our fellow youths and let us also go to the district's head and request for weapons so that we can fight these criminals

Jack: this is how we are going to do it, Sam and Joe you will go out tomorrow morning and announce to all our fellow youths that we will be meeting on Monday meanwhile I and ike will go to elder Tongu and tell him our discussion

They all agreed and left but on the contrary Ike is an informant to the notorious gangster wannune and his group. After they have all gone home he called wannune and tell him of what the youth are planning against them, he also named out his friends that brought the ideal to fight them and how they are going about it.

Way down the night the black pythons swing in action at the youths who's names were mentioned by Ike their informant, they killed Joe and jack but Sam manage and escaped.

Their corpse were found the next morning and more fear grips the entire people of makurdi as such deaths has never happened before. (no doubts these criminals are getting more dangerous what then is our fate O Lord come to our rescue) Sam stop thinking and stood to his feet and beat's his chest "I must get to the root of this and put it to an end"

Sam form a one man monitoring team, he has put upon himself to know the criminals and how they carryout their actions within the community. He hardly stays at home but oftentimes goes to the town to monitor the movement of some boys he was suspecting.

Back home in wannune's town there isn't much criminal activities but wannune's friends are still causing some troubles around the village, on the other hand the people of Tarka are no more friendly to the family of Mr Tumbu because of his son's behaviors that got him chase away. Wannune's mother has been withdrawn from the women's meeting where she was the chairlady due to the claims that she failed to train her son so therefore has failed as a good mother and can no longer be part of them.

It is the same case with wannune's father, he was also withdrawn from the council of elders, his daughters were often insulted by their fellow girls of the community. Mr yongu is so happy as things are going the way he wanted, for every pain his friend Mr Tumbu is going through brought joy to his face moreover he is no longer friendly with Mr Tumbu has things had gone bad with him.

Mr Tumbu: my wife see what has become of us in this community, people no longer regard us in any of the community meetings and others. What a wicked world!

Mrs Abagi: my husband as for me, am not concerned about our withdrawal from our various meetings but am so much concerned about my son, I can't even believe we couldn't stop them from chasing him from this community

Mr Tumbu: what could we have done, we would have been also chase out If we tried to stop them from chasing wannune moreover the boys actions were unbearable for the people of this community and he couldn't even denied his actions

Mrs Abagi: but my husband, have you ever thought about the sudden change of our son's attitude because we all know that he was never like that I feel someone have bewitch my son. You have to find out before we loose our only son me I can't afford that oh

Mr Tumbu: I thought about it also but I have not drawn conclusion yet but I will surely get to the root of it meanwhile let me quickly go to my friend Yongu I will also need him on this

Mrs Abagi: okay my husband

Mr Tumbu left for his friends house as usual to seek his opinion about the issue of his son. It was a long conversation between Tumbu and his friend yongu and now have come to the conclusion that they will visit a chief priest to seek for answers to tumbu's broblem the next day. And after tumbu had left yongu went and charmed his friend Tumbu to forget his son's case entirely

(And now tumbu has lost his interest in knowing the truth behind his son's sudden change of attitude that made him to be chase away)
