Office Next Door.

"I know" She was slightly irritated the man was mentioning the obvious.

Bam! Mr. Hogan dropped his pen and raised his head, his frosty eyes shot daggers at her nearly piercing through her skin but she looked back at him expressionlessly and unaffected.

He expected an apology from her and not a retort but he should have known better. The hard-headed individual in front of him is a difficult nut to crack. He would probably need a sledgehammer to crack her thick shell. Then he would break her into an obedient good girl. He gritted his teeth thinking about how long it would take.

He snapped out of his thoughts and realized that the lady had already gone to her office and was seated. He peered at her from the glass and realized she was taking something out of her irritable backpack.

He watched with keen eyes, a personality like hers could not be trusted, what if she wanted to harm him? Then he saw something colorful in her hand. A lollipop? Was a normal person supposed to eat sweet that early? He felt irked for no reason. He picked up the telephone beside him and dialed her office.

Camry closed her eyes as she sucked her lollipop. Her tongue curled around the pop as she let the sweetness hit her taste bud. Her face was rested on her palm. That moment, the telephone beside her rang.

Her eyes snapped open, it was cold and distant. She looked angrily at the telephone with bloodshot eyes. Her eyes filled with murderous intent as she ignored the call. She knew the call was from the office next door...

Mr. Hogan was furious, he saw as she glared at the telephone, it was as if that look was directed at him. It angered him so much that he called again.

As soon as the telephone rang again, Camry crunched the lollipop in her mouth and chewed on it. She flicked the stick into the bin before picking up the call.

"What?" She uttered in an extremely cold voice. Irritation and rebelliousness were evident in a tone.

"You—" Mr. Hogan was a second away from castigating her but he stopped and gritted his teeth in anger.

"Make me a cup of coffee. Five minutes" He said in his bossy tone leaving no room for argument.

Coffee? That black bitter stuff? She was further irritated.

"Don't know how to make it" she responded and dropped the call afterward. She searched her bag again and found a bar of chocolate, she popped the solid brown cube into her mouth.

Mr. Hogan was irked by her nonchalant attitude towards him. She did not care at all that he was her boss, she dared tell him blatantly that she did not know how to make coffee and even disconnected the call on him?

Such an eyesore!

He angrily dialed her office again, this time, she picked the Call rather quickly than the previous times he called.

"I have told you—" Camry started.

"Listen to me!" He snapped coldly. "I, am your boss and it's not the other way around. I give you orders and you must obey! If you want to stay any longer in this office as my employee, make me a cup of coffee, now!" He uttered in a dark and frosty voice.

Camry paused in her movement, her eyes narrowed dangerously with a sharp glint. Her fingers drummed on the edge of the table rhythmically. She shifted her gaze to the glass partition and her eyes fell on the person in the room next door, a cold smirk formed at the corner of her lips.

"Very well," she said.

Camry placed the telephone down and stood up, she left her office and without sparing her boss a glance, she directly walked out of the office. To make him a cup of coffee? A cup of coffee it is then!

She maneuvered her way to the kitchen next to the office, she found the coffee maker but of course, she had never used one before so she had no idea of how it works. She glanced around and saw a note posted near the cupboard. The heading of the note was,

'Steps To Make Coffee For The Boss'

Camry raised her hand, she touched the note, an attempt to tear it off the wall crossed her mind but she decided against it. Her eyes glanced through the instructions on the note. She touched her nose and chuckled darkly.

"An idiot" she muttered. Ignoring the note, she picked a cup and proceeded to make the boss a cup of 'coffee'.

"Terrible employee!" A voice sounded very close to her ear. It sounded so sudden that Camry turned around in guarded alertness.

"Are you an idiot now? Who are you looking for crazy one?" The voice scolded in sarcasm.

"You!" Camry uttered coldly. Of course, she knew who the intruder was already, it was 'the voice'.

"Who else" the voice snorted. "Is there any creature that is willing to communicate with you as I do? Well, except for that pinky nice girl" it mumbled arrogantly.

Camry moved with her eyes, it could pass off as she was rolling her eyes at the unseen voice in her mind. Since she had no words for the nosy entity, she poured hot water from the flask into the cup then added spoons after spoons of coffee beans into the water, there was no sign of her stopping even after adding the sixth spoonful.

"Hey! Crazy one! You ain't planning to poison your boss to death are you?!" the voice sounded alarmed.

"Poison to death?" She raised a brow and then chuckled. "Not bad" she uttered.

"Y-you!" For the first time in its history, the voice stuttered. If one could see it, its eyes would probably be wide open in alarm. Its host was just too ruthless.

"Scared? He would definitely not die from this" she said clearly as she stirred the black liquid in the cup. "This should be done," she said.

"..." a certain voice had lost its passion to speak anymore.

Camry picked the cup effortlessly and walked back to the office. She placed the cup in front of her boss expressionlessly.

"You took your time" Mr. Hogan uttered coldly, his attention was fully on the document he was signing.

"Thank you?" She muttered in a voice dripping with sarcasm.

Mr. Hogan raised his head, he met with her clear eyes threw a cold glare at her. She stared back at him in an unyielding manner. She seemed unfazed about everything and it angered him so much.

He maintained eye contact with her as he picked the cup and lifted it to his thin lips. One cautious sip and,

"What the fuck is this!" He yelled angrily and banged the table with his fist. The sound reverberated in every corner of the company giving the workers shivers but the lady who stood in front of the boss was not moved in the slightest.

Camry threw a glance at the boss, she casually slipped her hands into her pocket, her perfectly carved brow tilted up slightly.

"A cup of coffee?" Mockery was detected in her nonchalant tone.

"You!" Mr. Hogan snapped. He stood up and left his seat. Before she could blink, he appeared before her. He grabbed her arm in a vice grip and pulled her closer. There would surely be a bruise left where he held.

Camry's glanced at his angry face and then at his hand gripping her arm, she realized how close he was standing to her, her eyes darkened. She shot him a cold glare.

"Are you trying to kill me?" He questioned with gritted teeth, his voice dripped ice and contained murderous intent. His cold breath fanned her face. She was disgusted and irritated.

"Kill you?" She scoffed and thought the troublesome man was simply too full of himself.

Hearing her nonchalant comment, his grip tightened on her arm and he shoved her even closer to himself, in a threatening manner.

"I need you more alive than dead. At the moment, I am really broke" she voiced casually.

"Ho. Ho. Ho. Ho!" A mocking laugh resounded in her mind. "Crazy, very crazy indeed! You just served a person something as deadly as that and you still claim you need him alive because you are broke?" The voice asserted.

'Of course, I am really broke' Camry thought. For the first time, she agreed with the nosy voice. Why else should she need the troublesome man if not because she had always been broke all her life? She snickered coldly in realization.

Mr. Hogan's fury tripled, no one knew how much he wanted nothing more but to deal with the rebellious person in front of him. He just did not know the right approach to giving her the best punishment.

If it were to be other, he could have their heads for offending him but her, throwing her out or killing her does not sound pleasing enough. He wanted something like bending her to succumbing to his wishes...

His azure-colored eyes looked into her eyes as if he wanted to capture her defiant soul but he couldn't, she also stared back into his eyes as if to show him how incapable he was. He gritted his teeth.

"Come here!" He ordered and dragged her with him out of the office.
