Music audition in Detroit city.

As known, the hotel has no staircase in it, so he didn't need to dismount any staircase to get to the receptionist's desk. He got to the receptionist's desk, and luckily, she wasn't attending to anyone, so he could freely talk to her without waiting. Before he could even say anything, she inquired of him,

"Young boy, what do you want? Are you ready to check out?".

"Yeah, I'm gonna check out today, but before that, I just wanna ask if it's possible to do the laundry in this hotel". James voiced out.

"Yeah, it's possible, we've got a washing machine. But you are gonna pay for it, it's completely different from the money you pay for booking a room".

"No prob, am gonna pay, but where is the washing machine located?".

"It's located at the backyard of this hotel, where are the clothes you wanna dry clean?". The receptionist inquired of James.

"It's in my hotel room". James retorted.

"Go bring them, before you get here, someone would be waiting to show you exactly where the washing machine is located".

Hearing that, James began sauntering towards his hotel room. He got to his hotel room and entered it, then he took out the clothes he needed to dry clean from his backpack. Holding the clothes in his hands, he departed from the room once again. Arriving at the receptionist's desk, just as she told him, someone was already waiting to show him where the washing machine was located and also assist him in using it...definitely, the person works in this hotel, he's a male.

He took him to the backyard where the washing machine was located, no one was making use of it. With the help of the man, they were done washing the clothes within a few minutes...the clothes weren't many. After washing, the man dried them in the dryer. James had no idea that they had a dryer also, his thinking was that he would have to wait until the natural things of the earth dry them up. Natural things like the sun, air, and so on.

After drying them, the man handed his clothes over to him as neat and shining as ever. The only thing that wasn't done to the clothes was ironing, but that wasn't a problem though, the clothes were still as shiny as ever.

"So how do the clothes look?". The receptionist asked James.

"They look great, as shiny as ever". James responded.

"That's nice, it's good to know that you acknowledged that. Now, it's time to pay the fee for the dry cleaning".

"How much does it cost?".

She told him the amount, then he went back to his room, took the money, headed back to her desk, and handed the money over to her. Then he uttered,

"I'll be checking out the next time I come out".

The receptionist nodded her head to what he said, a sign of understanding. Then he sauntered back into his hotel room, removed the casual clothes he was wearing, and changed into something more fashionable. Then he strolled over to the mirror in the room and stared at his reflection, combed his hair, and did some other grooming.

He smiled at what he was seeing in the mirror, handsomeness. He put on the backpack on his back before departing from the room. Arriving at the receptionist's desk, he handed the key over to her and uttered,

"I'll be checking out then".

She smiled at him and said, "Bye. Thanks for patronizing our hotel".

With that, James walked out of the hotel, on getting outside, he was a bit confused about what next to do. He can be regarded as a homeless person 'cause he's got no residence of his own. He can be equally regarded as an orphan 'cause his real parents were dead. Then he thought of Uncle Fred once again, after doing all the dirty stuff with his secret mistress, he must have gone back to his wife looking like a loyal husband.

Who knows for how long he had been cheating on his wife? Who knows for how long he had been fooling her? Thinking about him made him remember that his plan that yesterday was to go knock on their door before his so-called uncle came out. Seems like he'll go back there and try knocking on their door once again...as known, he wanted to see how they were faring. It then dawns on him that most likely, they wouldn't be at home.

Uncle Fred must have gone to work along with his wife, while his daughter must have gone to school. But he decided that he was still gonna check anyway, who knows, maybe one of them could be at home. He began sauntering with Uncle Fred's house in mind as his destination. He didn't need to take a cab 'cause he had recognized the street he was in, he could trek from here down to his uncle's house.

While trekking, something caught his attention, he saw a huge banner with the caption, 'Auditioning for music contest that's gonna take place in Detroit city'. He came closer to the banner so he could take a proper look at it. Something else was written on it that says, 'Shining stars music contest'. Then he began reading some of the other things that were written on the banner.

According to what he read, the music contest was gonna take place in Chicago, but the auditions took place in other cities to get the contestants that were gonna partake in the contest to its climax. Detroit city was the last and final city where the audition was gonna take place before the main contest begins in Chicago. The winner of the contest was gonna be given a huge amount of money and a record deal with a big record label in the USA...now, that's huge.

James knew that he was surely gonna partake in the audition, this was a great step to achieving his dream of becoming an artiste. He knew that most likely, he wouldn't even make it through the audition, his singing wasn't that good. But he was still gonna go for the audition anyway, it's better to try than to not try at all. He then remembered that the orphanage home he ran away from was located in Detroit city, he'll have to try his very best not to get close to that place or be caught.

He crammed the name of the boulevard where the audition was gonna take place in his head, then he read some other things written on the banner before walking away. He'll have to travel back to Detroit city, he wouldn't miss this opportunity. His plan right now was to get to Uncle Fred's house and knock on their door to see if anyone was around, then if possible, gain access into it. After that, he'll take a bus that would be heading straight to Detroit city.

He strolled and strolled until he arrived at the front of Uncle Fred's house. Seeing the house itself was making him angry, he felt like burning it down. All of a sudden, he didn't feel like knocking on their door anymore, he just felt like taking a bus that would drive him straight to Detroit city. James was still glancing at the house when one of the doors of the house opened, the door used for coming outside.

And guess who came out of it? Uncle Fred's daughter. She was wearing a backpack and she was well dressed, most likely, she was heading to school.

'Is she just heading to school?'. James thought to himself.

You know, before the death of his real body, he and Uncle Fred's daughter do talk whenever they meet each other, they weren't that close. They weren't enemies, and they weren't much of close friends. James couldn't help but stare at her as she walked past him, and she noticed it, so she asked,

"Why are you staring at me?".

James gave no reply to that question, then she eyed him a little before voicing out, "Naughty". Then she walked away from his sight.

James shook his head a little and uttered,

"You know nothing". He was referring to his uncle's daughter.

Then he glanced back at the house and said, "Uncle Fred, I'll be back for you and your family, but this time, with a better plan on how to make you guy's lives miserable then put an end to it. As for now, I gotta work towards achieving my dream of becoming an artiste".

After he was done making that statement, he walked away. With help and direction from people, he located the bus station whose buses drive people straight to Detroit city. Then he purchased a ticket and boarded the bus. After the bus had been filled with passengers, the driver entered the bus, started it, and drove off...

Surely, they were gonna reach Detroit city in the night.
