Becoming rampant.

Simon's POV.

Simon opened his eyes as he glanced outside from the windscreen of the bus, it was morning already. It was still very early in the morning 'cause the people walking about on the street weren't many. He immediately stood up from the chair he was sitting on, checked his pocket to see if the money in it were intact...and they were.

Then he opened his backpack and checked the stuff in it...they were still intact. You know, he was checking those things 'cause the world isn't a better place yet, thieves still roam about on the streets.

'The owner of this bus might soon come to drive it off, gotta do the stuff I need to do and move out'. Simon thought to himself.

Guess what Simon did on that bus? He brushed his teeth in it, like damn! He knew that what he was doing was gonna hurt the owner of this bus, but he's gotta brush his teeth. After he was done brushing, he put the toothbrush and the toothpaste back in the backpack. He's brushed his teeth, but he can't take his bath. Brushing his teeth in this bus was enough, he can't undress then take his bath in this bus, like, what the f**k. Not like there was running water in it.

He wore the backpack on his back, then jumped out of the bus from the windscreen. Some people noticed him jumping out of the bus and they kept on staring at him, most of them might be wondering, 'Was he a thief or something like that?'. But none of them came over to meet him or ask any question, their perspective about him was still based on a probability.

Simon noticed them staring at him, but he gave no f**k about that as he kept on sauntering, not like they saw him stealing anything from the bus. As he strolled, he thought about the Lewis family. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis must be deeply confused, like, why did he run away? Why did their son that just woke from coma run away? Most likely, they'll try to find him, their son can't go just like that.

Simon shook his head as he strolled and uttered to himself, "Robert isn't Robert anymore".

At this point, he was looking for a chair to sit on along the street, there were things he needed to strategize. Arriving at a certain street, he found a long chair, and no one was sitting on it...free sitting for him. He strolled over to the chair and sat on it, then he began thinking of what next to do. He had run from the Lewis family, so what was the next step to take.

Most likely, his parents died from that car accident, but what if they survived it? Maybe one of them survived it, he needed to find out. Then his dreams of becoming a footballer, how was he gonna achieve that now that he had run from the Lewis family? Now that he has no roof under his head? He'll have to find out and work towards it. Then the 500 dollars he stole from Mr. Lewis' suitcase, as far as he keeps on spending, it was gonna finish.

So seems like he'll have to find a job while trying to achieve his dream of becoming a footballer. By that time, he must have found out if his parents were dead or not. He just sat on the chair pondering over all these things, well, since he had strategized how he was gonna handle them one after the other, he stood up from the chair. He needed to eat something, he was hungry.

At this moment, he wasn't in the mood to eat fast food, he needed to eat well-prepared food...a proper one. Eating well-prepared food means that he'll have to visit a restaurant, at least, if he could find one along the street. He began strolling in search of a restaurant, while strolling, he found one, but they hadn't opened yet. He wouldn't blame them 'cause this was still early in the morning, maybe they weren't the type of people that opens early.

He kept on sauntering until he found another one, but what the f**k, the same thing? the restaurant was closed. Like was it a custom in this street for all restaurants not to open early? Well, he'll have to keep on searching until he finds one that had opened already, he was hungry. He kept on walking, and now, he had been walking for minutes, but he hadn't found another one. Finding the first two restaurants wasn't that hard, it didn't take much time it was taking him right now to find another one.

He didn't give up anyway, he'll have to keep on searching until he finds another one. He was determined to eat well-prepared food, fast food, move aside. Finally! he found one after strolling for some minutes more, and thank goodness, it was open. He could see the inner part of the restaurant 'cause of its see-through glass, and according to what he was seeing, there weren't that many customers in it.

He smiled and strolled into the restaurant taking a seat on one of the chairs. Glancing around the restaurant, he sighted a TV in front of it, and it was connected to a decoder, best of all, it was on. He had to beckon one of the male waiters to come before he came over to him, like, were they underestimating him? Was their thinking like what does this boy even wanna order for?

The waiter strolled over to where Simon was sitting to get his order, and Simon was expecting the waiter to underestimate him...but he didn't. You know, underestimation like, 'Does this young boy even have enough money with him?'. Simon told the guy what he wanted to eat, and it was available in the restaurant. Simon was expecting him to say, 'Oh! sorry, we don't have that here'.

The waiter walked out of Simon's presence to get his food order, and within some minutes, he placed it on Simon's table. With a smile on his face, he said,

"Enjoy your food". Then he walked out of Simon's presence once again.

Simon didn't waste time as he began digging through the food, it was a nice meal of potatoes and well-prepared red stew...that's Simon's favorite food. As he ate, he watched the television. Then the interesting program that was being displayed on the TV screen was disrupted for incoming news. That turned him off immediately, he took his gaze away from the television and focused more on finishing his food...he wasn't into news.

But the topic of the news caught his attention, the topic was, 'Why was car accidents becoming too rampant in Atlanta?'. That was the city he was residing in with his parents before the car accident occurred. And they were about to talk about that same car accident that caused the deaths of him and his parents. Seems like car accidents had become common in Atlanta.

The lady broadcasting the news talked about the things that do cause car accidents. Stuff like reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol, making phone calls while driving, and other stuff like that. Then they displayed the picture of a recent accident that took place in Atlanta...the car was crushed beyond repair. According to what the newscaster said, the lady was driving under the influence of alcohol and crashed into a very large truck.

That's the same kind of accident Simon and his parents got involved in, his dad was busy talking to him that he didn't notice the truck coming in front of them. Simon watched the news as a type of sadness started forming in his heart. After the newscaster finished talking about the latest accident that occurred in Atlanta, she then said something that kept Simon's eyes fully glued to the television...he wasn't even eating at all.

"These are the list of car accidents that have been taking place in Atlanta for the past weeks".

Then they began displaying the pictures of the car accidents as the newscaster explained more about them. Simon was waiting to see if the lady would talk about the car accident he and his parents got involved in. And after some minutes of waiting, she didn't talk about it, so he gave up waiting, maybe theirs wasn't recognized.

But then, the picture of their car accident appeared on the television screen. Simon just kept on staring at the television screen, the picture came up suddenly. Their car was turned upside down and it was badly damaged...that's the picture that was being displayed on the TV.
