Stranding Fate

Hekate, the Goddess of the abandoned and the Goddess of the Witches. She was a house to many powers unknown. Born of the titans just like Zeus himself was, she was a force to reckon with even among the Gods. But she was known to not meddle in their business and carry out her duties all on her own.

'If that's the case, then she is just here to fulfill her jurisdiction. And here I was thinking,' since when did Zeus begin to control the witches?' Adonis thought as his forehead folded into ridges.

"Ugh," Adonis gritted his teeth as he got on his feet and glared at Hekate.

She was someone who didn't particularly take any sides with the Olympian Gods. She has a Primordial Bloodline purity as high as Zeus, but she is unconcerned with the throne.

'If she has come to help us, Then we can only take whatever help we can get,' Adonis contemplated.

Adonis walked closer, pushing Miya away. He didn't want to cause any sort of danger to Miya. He had to confront the Goddess himself.

"So what are you willing to do for me?" Adonis asked, squinting his eyes.

The higher the power you are. The more you are bound by your jurisdiction, The same was true for Hekate. The same was true for Zeus. As such, Hekate had no other option but to provide some sort of help to Adonis in the condition he was in.

For there was no man as stranded as Adonis was.

Adonis half shut his eyes as he tried to endure.

Adonis could still feel the pressure from Hekate. She was a presence on par with the Twelve Olympian Gods. But he could only bear it and stand in front of her. His one eye closed shut as he did his best to stand straight.

Hekate held onto her chin.

"Good. I am impressed," she said. "I see that you have grit. At least you have the will to get out of this mess even though it is all but futile."

Hekate sighed.

"Though I don't believe you can get out of it any other way than by killing yourself."

Adonis smirked. He didn't believe in this Goddess at all. Adonis didn't believe in any Goddess at all!

Hekate might not belong to Zeus's faction but residing in the neutral faction instead. But even so, she was not trustworthy to Adonis. From the moment that his hell began, he had decided to forsake all Gods once and for all!

If at all, he was tolerating all of this… tolerating a Goddess, It was only for the sake of his survival.

The smirking face of Adonis caused Hekate to squint her eyes.

"You are the goddess of the abandoned. Are you not? " Adonis asked.

"Why? Indeed, do you have any doubts in regards to that? " Hekate smirked.

Hekate waved her hands in the air. Out of nowhere, several specters came into Adonis's view as they danced around her. Indeed, this was something only Heckate could do for she is the one that blesses the dead.

Hekate smiled.

"I never wished for your death, Adonis, but that is the direction you are heading. And no one can stop that."

Adonis smirked.

"Then what is the point of your existence? If nothing that you can do can change my fate? Ha! You might as well move away and let the air flow in. Do not come in our way again. "

Hekate's eyebrows twitched. Adonis was indeed a brat to her which she refused to kill. But he was getting on her nerves. But Adonis's attitude had little to do with her 'duty' which she was bound by the heavens to execute.

She swept her hand again, causing the specters to fly to Adonis and push him down on his knees. He bent low, facing the ground as a specter held onto his neck. It was strong, no matter what Adonis did he couldn't break free.

"Adonis!" Miya squeaked, but the specters didn't let her get close to him. Indeed, the specters were stronger than both of them.

"As naive as a mortal you are. Zeus' blood didn't do you any good. " Hekate fancied her face with her hand, "I am Hekate, the goddess of the abandoned... Not the goddess of fate. Your fate was sealed the moment you took birth. "

* Thu*

Adonis spat in front of her feet as he squirmed to break free of the specters.

"Fuck with that fate. I will destroy it!" he claimed.

Adonis didn't care about anything. He had lived till now accepting everything, but not anymore. He didn't care what the Gods said. He didn't care what the astrologers said. If he could not fulfill his own goal in life and his one love, what was the point of his existence? He was willing to fight till his last breath for it.

'I will fight till my last breath to change that fate," Adonis thought.

But Hekate could only sigh at his response.

"Had you not passed the trial and died peacefully to the witches, I wouldn't even have to worry about the likes of you. What do you even think you are? In the grand scheme of things, you are nothing. Your Divine blood concentration is merely 16%. You don't even have any jurisdiction. Do you think you can change the minds of those of Zeus' faction with such a measly strength? Dream on. "

Everyone who is ever born is born with a fixed amount of Primordial Blood concentration. But Hekate didn't know that Adonis was the only exception, and Adonis never had any plans to reveal it to her either.
