Primordial Blood Concentration was what determined the strength of the Gods.
'Jurisdictions', on the other hand, were a strange thing. They can curb the Gods' will in a way, forcing them to do certain quests concerning their jurisdiction. But they also aided the Gods in increasing their strength more than what their Primordial Blood cultivation would allow.
'As far as I know, Miya and I have had no jurisdiction since birth.'
Jurisdictions are also something that is inherited from birth. They can not be earned. They are granted by luck and fate.
"So what if I don't have jurisdiction? I am Zeus' son. Hadn't Zeus killed his father Cronus once? I too would do the same. "
Adonis smiled.
The day that Zeus killed his father, Chronos, time itself had stopped, for that was the jurisdiction of his father. Until Zeus, himself picked up the job of managing it. It was still a mystery how the battle ended with such a result. But those who had seen it never spoke of it again.
Hekate frowned at Adonis's egoistic attitude. She could feel the hate that flowed from his body for her even though she had done the man no harm.
"You know what? I am just wasting my time on you. I was just here to give you the prize for clearing my trial and I would just do that and leave you on your terms," she continued, "You are going to die anyway."
Adonis' heart was like that of solid rock. Nothing that Hekate could say would change him even a bit. His ears had nulled to the words of a Goddess.
Hekate's hands glowed in a viridescent hue, But Adonis was forced to look down and hadn't noticed the glow in her hands.
"Huuk!" Miya flinched, possibly because of the sudden burst of light.
Tears flowed down her cheeks as she was trying her best to get close to Adonis. For some reason, she couldn't help but hold herself responsible for their situation which caused her to fall onto her knees and burst her dams. It was because of her that their escape was delayed, was it not? Had she heard Adonis's words they would have never caught up in all of this in the first place!
The spectors stood like a barrier to her way and no matter how much she swung her axe, she could not harm them.
Adonis's ears twitched as he heard Miya sobbing.
"Ugh," he tried to break free of spectors but it was to no avail. Having his face facing towards the ground he wasn't sure what was happening.
"I am telling you if you cause even a single scratch on Miya I would kill you!" His eyes shot out red.
But to the current Hekate, those were just empty claims. She rolled her eyes as she wasn't bothered by the mortal in front of her. At most, Adonis was like the sheep that would soon be slaughtered by the Gods. There was no weight in his threats.
"Oh shut up, your girl just burst her dam without me doing anything," Hekate scoffed.
Adonis was struggling but all of it was for naught. Little did he realize that a viridescent light that glowed on Heckate's hands had shaped itself into a twin blade. They had green flashy handles and metallic sharp blades.
"Make him stand," Hekate ordered the spectors. The spectors followed as they forcefully made Adonis stand to his feet.
'Fu...,' Adonis's eyes shot out wide.
The twin blades adorned his eyes. For some reason as soon as he saw it he fell in love with it.
*Gulp*
He couldn't hold back his interest in them.
Hekate chuckled as she passed the blades to Adonis.
"Since you have no jurisdiction I pass onto you these blades. It is the perfect tool to walk on the path that you seek. But remember it's a mere copy and would never equate to an actual 'jurisdiction'… it's just a tool."
Adonis gulped as he held onto the blade. His palms as if sunk into the blade's handle sucking him in. He hadn't felt so entitled before as he did today.
But as soon as he held onto the blade several messages popped into his head.

*********
Adonis's pupils shook as he made sense of the messages that popped in his head.
'Is this really what I think it is?' Adonis thought.
The information that came into his head indeed made him think. It had blown his mind.
Adonis couldn't hide his elation. He couldn't hide his smile. He had got this for practically free. Hecate's trial? He did indeed clear that a moment ago but the thought of that had swept out of his mind. His elation was enough to make him forget the troubles of the day.
*cough*
The goddess coughed, drawing Adonis's attention. She wanted to clear the air.
"Don't be fooled, mortal. This is not what you think it is. As I said before it's a mere 'copy'… a copy. It can never equate to the real thing neither in power nor in responsibilities. We are bound by our jurisdictions to do our divine quests. But you? It won't have any effect on you if you fail. The quests are not divine, they are a copy of divinity."
Adonis smirked...
