Chapter 5: Brought back to the Collins Family

Dylan Collins was speeding in his car, but the words of that woman kept echoing in his mind.

The unfamiliar woman was pregnant, with his child.

He, the distinguished Dylan Collins, had slept with a baffling woman out of an accident, and now, also bafflingly, was about to become a father.

"Shit." His hand hit the steering wheel forcefully, and then he saw a call coming in from Ally Berg.

His pupils flickered slightly, and he ignored the call. Next, his assistant Ben Myers called.

"CEO Collins, it's bad news, Hallie Morgan has been taken away by Grandpa Collins."

What?

A possibility dawned on Dylan Collins, and his heart sank. He made a sharp turn, and the brakes screeched, his face growing colder. He clenched his lips and drove straight to the Collins' Old Mansion.

Hallie Morgan was sitting in the living room with the servants surrounding her, adjusting her backrest, and placing cushions. The table before her was soon piled up with an array of supplements.

The living room was grand and immense, to the point where any spoken words echoed.

It was the first time Hallie Morgan witnessed the tremendous wealth of a true prominent family. It was massive.

She saw an elderly man wearing a traditional suit, his face full of affectionate smiles. His pair of wrinkled eyes were narrow slits from smiling. She had a hard time reconciling this image with the ruthless, cold-blooded Chairman of the Collins Conglomerate, Logan Collins, she had only heard about from various pieces of news.

The huge door of the living room was suddenly pushed open.

"Grandpa." Dylan Collins, radiating an aura of coldness, walked in. His eyes fell on Hallie Morgan, who was sitting meekly on the sofa, her face filled with an awkward smile.

He looked deeply into her face, then walked straight over to Logan Collins.

"How could you take matters into your own hands and bring her here without my knowledge!"

"Enough, I have already known. Hallie is carrying your child. My boy, this is a great blessing for our Collins family. You didn't tell us about it and even left Hallie alone in the hospital, that's not right."

"It was just an accident with her. You can't possibly want to keep this child, can you? If you want a grandchild, I can give you one, but we don't know each other at all, so this child can't be kept."

"You scoundrel!" Logan Collins jabbed his cane on the ground, making a thud, "This is the flesh and blood of our Collins family. I won't let you abort it so casually. Besides, that young woman has been tarnished by you, aren't you going to take responsibility?"

Tarnished?

He tarnished her?

Clearly, all of this was her fault!

Dylan Collins cast a cold glance at Hallie Morgan.

"You tell us who tarnished whom!"

Hallie Morgan cringed in fear.

"It was me who tarnished you. It's all my fault, Grandpa Collins. As I said earlier, all of this was an accident. It has nothing to do with CEO Collins, I caused this all alone."

"Dylan Collins!" Logan's eyebrows knitted, and his cane hit the ground again, the heavy thud sound making it seem as if the cane would shatter.

Hallie Morgan's face turned pale at once.

However, Logan's face softened as he turned back towards Hallie, "Hallie, did that scare you? Don't be afraid, I am not angry at you."

He then looked at Dylan Collins with a fierce expression, "What are you doing, threatening Hallie in front of me?"
