It was a huge area. The mountain they were in looked like a moon crescent, a valley right in the middle, and the town was on the left. Torches lighted upped the map as they searched the map for any clue.
Mountains and hills were on the other side of town, almost blocking it in. The river was a few kilometres away, on the other side of town. This mountain range formed a natural barrier so that the water would flow away from the town and wound north, flooding the area with the least amount of damage. If the bomb would go off on the other side of the crescent it would endanger the town, and the water would mix with the river’s contaminated water.
Everything would be lost. To create that much damage the device must be big enough to set it all in motion. Like an avalanche effect.
Silence fell among them as they studied the map meticulously, but it was Dirk that pointed to a spot outside the cave.
“It will be there, I am sure of that.” he said with confidence.
