Re:born :Arc1 : the sky is in trouble



(13th July 1998 , London )

The three of them are now in a coffee shop , apparently  waiting for someone ,they  sat in total silence each one was occupying himself with something, for  sayuri , she was drinking her juice while observing  the people around her , her facial expression were of  boredom, but if you look closer you can tell that she is on her guard , it's been approximately one hour since they sat on that table  , sayuri and jigen begin to lose patience as Lupin didn't really explain why or who they are waiting for , thought the former may have an idea on who they were waiting for . 

after a while Sayuri was about to voice her question when suddenly the shop's bells jingled and two figures, a man and a woman, entered the shop .

The man was wearing a traditional kimono like he is a samurai that came out from a japanese drama or mybe a cosplayer and the katana tied to his waist .

As for the woman she has short  curly red hair she wore a white  summer dress with a straw hat a pink ribbon around it .

" Fujiko-chan , Geomon !!" Lupin shouted waving at the two , though he was more excited to see the female as his eyes were literally sparkling , sayuri guessed she was his lover or something in that line .

" Mou lupin calling us all the way here,  I hope it is something important " the woman whose name is fujiko said , putting her hands on her hips in irritation , the sotic  man just  nodded at that waiting for lupin to annonce why he did call them to London. 

" Ma ma  calm down fujiko-chan I'm sure it  will  pick your interest, " Lupin said, gesturing to them to sit down .

And then the two noticed Sayuri who was sitting there next to Jigen sipping from her juice silently and staring at them .

The two looked at lupin confusion evident in their faces .

After they settled down , Goemon asked 

" Who is the kid lupin? " 

" Let me introduce you , this sayuri , sayuri, these are geomon and fujiko, " Lupin said, introducing them .

 Before the two fire them with questions , Lupin starts explaining the situation to them and how he met the girl .

" That's a great amount of money , and you are saying this kid here will lead us to

 it " fujiko said, glancing at sayuri with interest , and then she smiled at her , but sayuri just stared back at her blankly .

" She holds the information ?, You said before the diary was coded how was

 she _" fujiko said expressing her doubts .

" Oh I forgot to mention that she isn't your ordinary kid, " Lupin said cheekily .

" So here is the plan  " 

(13th July 1998 ,Rosewood hotel , London ) 

The auction will be held in a hotel 

Sayuri was wearing a red dress reaching her mid knees and red flats , her hair was put in a ponytail .

Sayuri was with Fujiko , and the woman was able to get invitations to the auction thanks to her connections. 

 So after handing the two guards the card the woman and the little girl entered the building and headed toward the main lobby where the auction will be held .

There were a lot of people chatting around , they were mostly from the Mafia . She even noticed familiar faces that she knew from her research and information gathering .

For now there is no sign of Rapahel and his guys but still her intuition are acting up  the moment she  entered this  building , she still wonder why lupin let her come with fujiko ,and honestly  still doesn't trust this  woman fully as she is  aware that  fujiko is planning something , perhaps  that's the reason for the warnings she gets from the alien in her head , she have to be careful .

Sayuri was brought up from her thoughts by fujiko .

" the auction won't start till

 9 pm we have twenty minutes left , let's go get something to eat " fujiko said looking at her watch and then grabbed sayuri's hand with a smile and lead  her to the food 

table .

While eating the food she noticed two men hiding behind a wall , she sweat dropped at the fact that no one noticed them yet , she shrugged her shoulders they don't seem dangerous,  and then she  took another bite from her strawberry shortcake while reviewing the plan in her head , a small  frown drawn on  her face .

The plan was simple actually while sayuri and fujiko attend the auction , lupin and the two other will steal the necklace not Stealthy on the contrary he will steal it while it was being auctioned  Infront of the audience , she doesn't know how to comment on that , does he love challenges  so much that he is taking risks .

Soon twenty minutes passed quickly and now the auction will begin soon , Fujiko and sayuri settled down in their seats and 

Then the lights turned off minus the light of the stage .

It was finally the necklace 's time to be auctioned ,  the host was about to announce the primary price , when suddenly a pink smoke covered the whole stage panic begin to rise in the crowd .

A second later after some smoke dimed down a man figure was standing ontop of the box where the necklace was .

It was now in the hands of the mysterious man who is no one other than lupin the third himself .

" Jaa I shall take this necklace tonight " 

.

" Stop there lupin this time I won't allow you to escape !!" A man from the crowd shouted earning the attention of lupin who sweat dropped it was the inspector zinigata.

" Ah pops you are here too !!" Lupin grinned then he said "but  not today

 pops ".

But then many armed man entered the room wearing suits .

And then zinigata made a sign and then policeman from the icpo entered the room too. 

It was complete chaos , everything turned upside down they are trying to run away rushing to the entrance .

So when all the communion happening fujiko took Sayuri's hand and the two slipped away from the room into the corridor she could still hear that inspector shouting lupin's name from here .

 They are supposed to go to the parking lot where Jigen was  waiting for them in the car , but unfortunately it's not the plan for Fujiko as they are clearly not heading there , she didn't want to ask her as she already figured out what the woman's plan is .

After walking in silence for a while they arrived at the door of a room , Fujiko opened the door and led her inside. 

It was a huge room , a VIP one she assumed based on the luxury of it .

She noticed a tall figure looking out the glassy window , he then turned his head to them .

Sayuri narrowed her eyes at him .

"As promised I brought you the girl , now for my payment " Fujiko was the first one to break the silence as she demanded for him to fullfil his side of the deal after doing her job , but what the man said later surprised her slightly .

" I thank you Miss Fujiko for your hard work , but I think you forgotten who are you dealing with " the man said approaching them slowly and steadily , a smirk slipt to his face .

" What do you mean by that? " the woman said , trying to mask her uneasiness .

But suddenly two men burst inside the room and grabbed Fujiko  from her two arms about to  drag  her away. 

" W-wait what are you doing let me go " Fujiko exclaimed in alarm trying to break free from the two men but with no avail as they quickly took her out the room , sayuri looked at what happened with expressionless facade but even though she felt worry for fujiko .

"Sayuri was it ,." He said breaking her from her thoughts .

She just stared back at him and decided to keep silent for now .

" you don't seem afraid , most kids your age will cower in fear in your situation, " he remarked. 

" Prepare the jet we are heading back to Italia " the man commanded over the phone , after he hung up and put the phone down he looked again at sayuri and said. 

" And you are going to show me the way to the cobra legacy " 

" Why would I do that ?" Sayuri finally decided to speak .

" Finally speaking I see , you don't really  have a choice in that matter " he said smirking slightly .

And sayuri glared at him .

(rosewood hotel , London , England ) .

On the hallway , Fujiko was struggling to break free from the two men's grips but without any avail she can tell they are strong and well trained ,she even used other methods but that was useless too.

When she was about to give up a sound echoed in the hallway .

" Fujiko-chan it seems like you are in trouble ....."

" Lupin ?!!" 

A man came from the shadows , Infront of them , seeing that one of the guards grabed his gun and was about to attack him when wires shouted  out  from lupin's watch   and circulated around the man two wrists , after lupin clicked a button and electrical current electrifying him and the man fell limbly on the ground .

Seeing that his partner was defeated , the other man pushed fujiko roughly on the ground and was about to attack Lupin when the latter took his gun from the inside of his jacket and shot the man in the side and that all happened in a matter of seconds .

" That wasn't nice, you know , handing  sayuri to them,  " Lupin said to her with a serious expression. 

Fujiko puffed her cheeks in annoyance but she didn't reply , still thinking about how that man easily tricked her .

Then they heard a voice outside. It was a military  jet That just flew by .

" Man I'm late, they already took her,  " Lupin said, rubbing his hair in frustration .

" Let's go meet the other two " after a while he said .

(13th july 1998 , lupin's car , London   )

"What did you say ?" Jigen half shouted 

After hearing what happened and glared at the woman who was looking absently at the window  .

" And now what ?" Goemon asked .

" Wait, we still  have the necklace , so they won't be able to open it, right ?" Jigen 

said hopefully .

" Yeah , that's another problem actually the necklace is fake one , they already got their hands on it before the auction and I guess they used the  copy to lure us in " Lupin explained dejectedly .

"..._"

" Well_" lupin was about to say something when a  phone rang from the back seat , and lupin started looking for the device , then he found it.

" It's Sayuri's " that caught all the people in the car as they turned to stare at it as they kept silent, staring at each other .

After a while Lupin finally decided to click on the button accepting the call .

" Sayuri, where the heck are you ?What happened ?" The worried voice of Shamel came from the other side of the line .

Hearing that lupin looked at the other three in the car asking help on how to reply to the man  But the other  three clearly  ignored him as they found other little things more interesting at that moment .

And lupin glared at them feeling betrayed; he then sighed and cleared his cough .

" Hello ?" He said the other line was silent for a moment .

" Who are you , and where is Sayuri ?" Shamel's tone of voice changed slightly from worry to caution and suspiciousness  and  lupin gulped at that , after all mist users are quite terrifying when the are angry and protective .

" Ma ma Mr shamel was it ? , Well you see some complications happen in our plan and unfortunately they got hold of sayuri , I will explain the details face to face let's meet up I will send you the address and as for who I am ? I'm lupin sansei see ya there " lupin said in one go then hung up the phone immediately not waiting for the other party to reply .

He then stumbled to his seat sighing in relief .

" What a scary man " 

" Is he her father ?" Goemon asked  .

" Nah i don't think so she called him by his name so I doubt that " lupin replied " we will know later after meeting him " .

" Why would you meet him ?" Jigen

 asked .

" Well right now we need all the help we can get "he replied looking absently outside the window.
