WristWatches

Ernon, Robert and Caleb followed the seargent into the main building. Ernon was taken back by the sheer size of the rooms. From the grand, smooth, shiny floors to the monochrome ceiling, everything had been done perfectly. Tall pillars stood on either end of the building. Even that was decorated with all sorts of patterns and shapes.

The place looked too modern for its time. He knew that a place like this was funded by the ISA's wealth. The training centre was one of their grand schemes to help them recruit new members. In truth, in was a genius idea that became massively succesful within a few months. It crerated job opportunities and other things that helped the general public. It was a win-win situation for everyone.

Ernon noticed that there were four floors in the building. Each one contained ten dorms for four to five students. On the way, Ernon noticed that the building to the right was the cafeteria and the building to the left was the training centre itself.

Ernon realised that the three candidates weren't going up the stairs or taking the lift upstairs. 'That's strange, if we're the last ones, shouldn't all the rooms in the bottom floor be taken up?' he thought. But he couldn't ponder over the question for long, because they turned a corridor and Ernon saw a door at the end.

"Well, here we are... your Dorm" the seargent said, smiling. It looked slighly terrifying on Devon's hard face. "This is where you will be staying for the next seven days..." he continued, circling the three candiates with both hands behind his back.

The man stopped in front of them and took out a box. Ernon had an idea of what it might be. "These..." the seargent began "are your brand new WristWatches" he said. "This will be everything to you here at the training centre. They will help you access specific areas, pay for your food, and you need these to get into your room"

"How do they work?" asked Caleb. It was the first time Ernon heard him but he didn't take much notice. He was staring at the WristWatches that the seargent was holding. Devon saw him looking at the box.

"You excited, Ernon?" the seargent asked jockingly. "I will explain how they work after they are handed out" he said. Ernon looked down. He saw Caleb smirking at him. Devon asked it as if Ernon was a little kid.The boy nodded. He went over to the boys and held out the box.

Devon opened it slowly, pausing for dramatic effect. Inside, Ernon saw three watches in neat lines. They looked as if they were glowing. The three boys gaped at them, mesmerized by its beauty. They each took one and slipped them on.

It felt warm in Ernon's wrist. Ernon got a strange pleasure from it. On the side, there were two buttons. "The top button on the right will give you a full insight on everything at this school. Press the button and you will see a description of everything you need to know. Press the button twice and it will show you your personalized training for the day. The bottom button will show you your credits. You will earn these by training. They are the only way you will get food here. Or anything else for that matter!" Devon gleefully.

And with that, Devon left the three boys standing outside their Dorm, staring at their WristWatches. "I guess we should go inside" said Ernon, looking at Robin and Caleb. "Yeah" said Caleb and the three boys walked into their room...
