XXVIII: Misdirection Part I

Everything seemed to revolve around that woman.

I didn’t think that we were on unfriendly terms, but apparently, we were.

‘Either we turn around and go see how that girl is involved in this grand conspiracy of yours, or you get out of your mind and help me navigate in this fog.’

‘I can’t see beyond my nose; I cannot see how I can help you.’

‘You have ears as well as other senses. Why not use them?’

I sighed. As always, Selene got cranky whenever something strange happened that she wasn’t aware of.

‘I am not cranky!’ she hissed.

‘Whatever you say, grandma.’

I came back to my senses and found that the jungle was just as I had left it minutes ago when I gave Selene control over our body. A thick fog engulfed the jungle, limiting my vision to just a few inches ahead. I couldn’t even see my hands unless I brought them very close to my face.
