Chapter 163

I was pacing.

I could tell that the battle was over but Raph hadn't come back yet, and neither had Thresh.

The moment I saw that blonde freak I was going to punch him in the face, i would sacrifice my own fist, but I was gonna do it.

Turning my head to look down the path, I sensed lots of channels coming.

In the front of the procession was a grey wolf and a white wolf, behind them were dozens and dozens of Lycans, most of them carrying wounded, I could smell the festering flesh and the strong, pungent scent of blood.

Wrinkling my nose I watched as the white wolf shifted into Thresh. I narrowed my eyes at the change in colour but I could not have cared less.

Stalking towards Thresh who was wrapping a towel around his waist, I realized a flaw in my plan. He was much taller then me. Fine then, a gut punch, or maybe even in the groin. I was burning with anger and I was getting a little excited about taking it out.

The grey wolf shifted into a naked woman and she was wrapping herself with a blanket.

Thresh was talking with the black haired woman and they seemed to know each other pretty well.

When I was just a couple feet from him he turned and looked at me, "Hello, what are-" I punched him right in the stomach.

He growled and the woman tensed and took a fighting stance, her claws extended.

Thresh didn't looked fazed and it only fuelled my anger. I shook my hand from the pain.

I opened my mouth to yell at him but stopped. His eyes were blue. I bit the inside of my lip and growled angrily. Not a Lycan growl but a human one.

"You're not Thresh!" I said heatedly.

The pair seemed to relax a bit after they understood the situation.

The blonde man nodded, "No, I'm his brother, Alastor, and this is my sister, Brissa." He said gesturing to the woman with black hair.

I narrowed my eyes, she had grey eyes like Thresh, both of them had the same golden tan complexion as Thresh and the other two brothers I've met.

Alastor narrowed his eyes at me, "Now what are you doing here?" He sniffed the air and I leaned back. His voice was deep and callous.

"What do you mean; what am I doing here?" I asked, still stretching my sore fingers.

"What's a human doing looking for our brother?" The woman, Brissa, asked. She had a very husky voice.

I scoffed lightly, shaking my head I opened my mouth, "I'm sorry, but there are humans in Thresh's pack."

"Then why don't you call him Alpha?" Alastor asked, crossing his arms over his bare chest. Wasn't he cold?

"Heh, because I don't like calling him Alpha when he's such a pompous, arrogant, asshole." I said sticking my chin in the air.

The guy moved too quickly and in the next instant his hand was around my neck, lifting me in the air.

I held his strong hand, trying to pry it off while I glared daggers at him.

Black spots began to dance in front of my eyes and distract me from the constricting pain.

I heard another growl and I dropped from the man's grip.

I just felt my body hit the snow but my brain wasn't functioning and I felt so cold.

I just heard snarling and barking.

"Brother! That's enough!" I heard Thresh yell.

The next thing I felt were arms picking me up and sitting me on a lap. I inhaled his scent but instead of filling me with warmth, I just felt colder. I shivered in his arms.

"What the hell did you do to her?!" I heard him ask as I rested my head on his chest. I could hear his erratic heartbeat.

I heard a low growl and then the woman spoke, "He used his gift; he commands ice."

As if the word made me colder I shivered in his arms and felt him hold me close.

"Make it stop." He said dangerously.

"No." Alastor said heartlessly.

-Tell him to stop it.- Raph mind linked Thresh.

-I cannot tell my brother what to do.- He replied.

-Tell him…-

A loud growl sounded and I had a feeling it was Thresh.

"Ah!" A loud voice exclaimed happily, "My brothers, and sister, and how are you fine people?" I recognized the voice as Kratos's.

I clutched at Raph shirt. I thought I'd been cold before in that cell but this was a painful, nerve-killing, cold.

"What happened to her? Alas, you didn't." Kratos said.

"She insulted Thresh, and she hit me."

"But she's just a human." Kratos said.

My mind clicked back to when I'd first met Kratos, he'd asked Thresh what I was. He knew. He'd known and Thresh had told him to stay quiet. How did he know? Why hadn't anyone told me but the stupid Elf?

I heard a snarl and a yelp, then sounds of impact.

Raph continued to attempt to provide me with warmth but none of his gestures could breach what felt like ice surrounding my body.

My teeth chattered so much it hurt.

Then all of a sudden it stopped.

I blinked my eyes open and looked up at Raph, his gold eyes had never looked so heavenly. I grabbed his head and kissed him full on the lips. He seemed surprised at first but responded with just as much joy as me.

"Alright, cut it lovebirds. I believe that I deserve a thank you." Kratos said proudly.

I felt a low rumbling in Raph chest and smiled against his lips, "Thanks for what?" I asked not looking at him but at my mate's irritated eyes wryly.

"Why saving you of course." He said, I could sense the mock hurt in his voice.

I giggled softly, "It wasn't life and death, but thank you." I said as I lowered my hands to rest on Raph's taut shoulders.

-See, I'm fine.- I said with meaning.

He nuzzled my neck, breathing onto my skin sending goosebumps all over my arm, -But you weren't. Why on earth would you punch an Alpha?-

I sighed, -He was being a jerk, and I thought he was Thresh to be honest.-

"What are you doing?" Someone asked.

I looked up and saw Alastor watching us confused. Raph growled again and I let him. This man, in the few seconds I'd known him, was not nice.

My eyes then searched for Thresh. When our eyes locked I saw no remorse, nothing. Just a hollow shell. I'd thought he had had a heart, but apparently not.

His robotic eyes left mine and he walked away. I clenched my teeth as I watched him disappear.

Moving my eyes I looked back at Raph, he was super tense and he held me like I would fly away.

I let him, I wanted to be held. I rested my head against his as I observed what was happening around us.

Alastor was still there, watching us curiously. As soon as I looked at him he trudged off. Brissa was no longer there, I could see her long, dark hair down the hill. Kratos was still standing there, his body propped up against a tree, but more like leaning on it. He seemed exhausted.

-Alpha!- Someone mind linked him, I saw a wolf running up the hill, -It's Greg.-

I saw Kratos close his eyes then shift into a bright, silver wolf and run after the Lycan.

I sighed happily then chuckled a little.

"Hmm, what's so funny?" Raph hummed, he sounded like he was falling asleep. I ran my fingers through his hair, it was filled with dirt and grime, but he pulled it off of course.

"Hm, nothing. I think I'm losing it." I said feeling a mix of happy and sad.

His eyes opened and held mine, "You're not." There was something hiding behind those golden irises, "I always knew you were special but I never knew who you were." He mumbled to himself but I caught it.

I watched him carefully with tenderness, he looked ragged, for a Lycan.

He stroked his thumb down my jaw then stopped at my lips. He watched my lips which were parted slightly.

His eyes flitted up to mine, a small smirk formed on his lips, "What am I gonna do with you now?"
