Sometimes we need someone to simply be there. Not to fix anything, or to do anything in particular, but to let us just feel that we are cared for and supported.

"What is your name?" That was the most basic question that Apple wanted to know. She wanted to be able to address him decently. She was excited, thrilled actually.
"Show me the gold dust," Drustan didn't answer her question, he sipped on his coffee again and asked a whole different question.
Shouldn't they start with small talk first before moving on to more serious and complicated ones? "My name is Apple and you?" Apple insisted on knowing his name first.
Once again, Drustan didn't answer that question, and instead, he was staring at the girl before him. Her big green eyes reminded him of the reflection of the deep sea; calm, mysterious, and captivating.
"What is your name?" Apple asked him again. She has become impatient now. "This is our third meeting and you have saved me twice, and I still don't know your name."
"Show the gold dust," Drustan said, sipping on his coffee again and now the cup had emptied.
Apple frowned and folded her arms in front of her chest. "I don't know how to show it to you, it just happened." Apple then stared at her fingers and stretched out her hand under Drustan's nose, startling him, as his instinct thought it was an attack. "See? It doesn't appear again."
Fortunately, Drustan had a good reflex and managed to stop himself before he could slice her.
Meanwhile, Apple, who didn't know the danger that she just slipped through, innocently waved her hand in front of Drustan. To show him that she didn't know how to create the gold dust again.
"I thought if I was close to you, it would appear on its own, but I think that is not the case," Apple pulled back her hand and then stared at Drustan, who stood up and was about to leave. "Where are you going?"
Apple was startled and immediately grabbed her jacket to follow him out of the café, ignoring the way those people there were staring at her with jealousy for being able to talk to a beautiful man like him.
"Stop," Drustan said when Apple kept following him. It was like five years ago. He just remembered that he had met her before.
They were walking on the street now and since the sun had disappeared on the horizon, the light from the street lights and buildings around them had been turned on.
"That is what you said to me in our first and second meeting," Apple grinned. "You have not yet answered my question. What is your name? How should I address you?"
"Don't address me and don't call me," Drustan said lightly, his eyes fixed on the street ahead, trying his best to not bump into someone in this crowded street, ignoring the eyes of every woman that he came across as those eyes harbor lust and adoration. That kind of thing disgusted him.
"Why?" Apple asked breathlessly because she needed to catch up with his long legs and Drustan didn't have any intention of slowing down.
And again, Drustan didn't answer her. He then turned toward the empty alley, but Apple pulled his jacket to stop him.
"You want to go to an empty place because you want to disappear?" Apple learned her lesson and wouldn't let this happen again. She would hold onto his thigh if that was necessary. Oh, please… she didn't even get to know his name yet!
"What do you want?" Drustan pried open Apple's finger from grabbing his jacket, but she held onto him tightly and if he tried harder than this, it would hurt her.
"There are a lot of questions that roam around my head," Apple said. She raised her head until her neck hurt, so she could see straight into his eyes because Drustan was very tall.
"I don't have an answer for that," Drustan replied.
"Not even your name?" And here Apple was, kept fussing over his name when it was clear to see the only thing that kept Drustan interested was the gold dust, which helped him to heal faster. "Should I call you a wing-man?"
Drustan frowned in disgust when he heard that and turned around to walk into the empty alley, paying no attention to Apple's attempt to stop him, since there was a tremendous power difference between the two.
"Wait, wait, wait…" Apple struggled to make the big man stop. "You can't leave me like this again."
Apple walked first, then tried to push Drustan from the front to no avail, the man didn't even wobble. In her panic to be left alone, Apple then hugged Drustan, trapped both of his arms next to his body, and then looked at him with pleading eyes.
"Can you not leave me again?" she asked softly.
And this gesture managed to make Drustan stop moving. He looked down at Apple with a deep furrow between his brows.
Drustan disliked humans and he would be pissed if someone touched him without his consent, but now Apple was a mix of both. She was human and recklessly hugged him.
"Don't you know that I can kill you?" he asked her in a cold voice. If he wanted it, he could kill her even before she managed to blink her eyes, with one spell, the girl would disappear from his sight forever.
But, he didn't do it…
"You didn't kill me before and even saved me twice, why do you want to kill me now?" she replied slyly. Her green eyes even looked brighter under this dimly lit alley.
"Then, you should cherish your life," Drustan said, moving his hand to break free from her hug.
Seeing how easy Drustan did that, Apple knew there was nothing she could do to stop him, thus she had to think of something that piqued interest.
"Wait, do you want to know about the gold dust, right?" At this rate, she should try every possibility.
