AND THE SUN DISAPPEARED

He doesn't know just quite how to love.

It is up to me to show the force between us both.

Sometimes he hurts me plenty, sometimes I am knocked down.

But, he can't help but have clarity whenever I am around.

Xierra was trying her best to hold the soul eater to not leave her body until the sun appeared again and she got her power as the Kairi back. She couldn't let this disgusting creature roam around the realm and spoke about the secret of Damon that it got when he possessed her for a few seconds.

It was only seconds, but the soul eater managed to make the most of it and got hold of the crucial information.

Xierra wouldn't let this thing get away with that, especially when she heard the sound of the door that was being opened harshly and Damon was rushing toward her with a dark expression upon seeing the blood beneath her.

'He is here?' The soul eater spoke merrily in Xierra's head. 'The god of destruction is here… how to wake him up?'

Xierra gritted her teeth, she tried so hard to get control of herself, as she felt the time was ticking very slow.

However, when a word came out of her lips, she knew that she had lost it.

"Stab me," Xierra said out of her own consent. "Stab me. The soul eater is inside of me. You need to kill me."

No!

Xierra tried her best to move her body, but she couldn't, without the power of Kairi, she was only a mere human.

'Do you think he will do it?' Xierra thought. 'He will not do it.'

'Do you think so?' the voice in her head replied arrogantly.

'You will die with me if you plan to stab me.'

'Of course not…' There was a trace of mockery in the way the soul eater talked. 'I can possess the god of destruction's body…'

That was even worse than Xierra could imagine…

Biting hard to her lower lips, Xierra pushed Damon away from her with all of her might, but the protector didn't even budge with that hopeless attempt.

On the other hand, Damon looked around him and stared at the lifeless body of the minister, as he knew what was happening. "Is it the soul eater?" he asked.

If that was the case, then whatever nonsense words about stabbing her or killing her were not words that came from her. It was the soul eater inside of her, who was talking.

Having a hold of the situation, Damon immediately knew what he had to do. He took the dagger that Xierra had thrown before and held it firmly in his right hand, while he sliced his left palm and chanted an old spell.

However, his hand was shaking as at the same time he was fighting the pain of disobeying the Kairi's direct order. For him to be able to be here didn't come with ease.

Therefore, it could be said that Damon was not ready when he failed to see this coming to him…

All of a sudden, Xierra jumped in front of her and gripped his wrist tightly, the hand that was holding the knife, as she tried to make a stabbing motion to kill herself.

Thankfully, Damon had an excellent reflection. He twisted the dagger away from Xierra, so the dull side was stabbing her chest.

Yet, that didn't end there, Xierra pulled his hand and closed the distance between them. She whispered to his ears with a voice that was filled with command.

"Stab me," Xierra said with the way she ordered all of her protectors to stay out of this and left her alone.

That was the same direct command that the Kairi gave and disobeyed one already took a toll on Damon, thus when he heard that, he didn't have time to think or process what she was saying earlier when he heard Xierra gasp loudly and her head dropped to his shoulder.

Damon knew he had done something unthinkable, but didn't dare to see the forthcoming, yet he could feel his hand was soaked with her blood; sticky and warm.

"Xierra…" her name slipped from his lips like a whisper and when he let go of the dagger in his hand, there was a soft clicking sound when the metal hit the ground and a wisp of white smoke came out, as Xierra breathed out.

Damon immediately cradled her body and watched with his own eyes, what a horrendous thing that he had done to her.

"Don't tell anyone about this." Another order came from Xierra. "Don't tell… to a single soul that you… stabbed me," she said breathlessly.

"Don't talk, I will bring you to the hospital," Damon said through his gritted teeth, as he put his hand on her shoulder and under her knees.

"No, listen to me first…" Xierra grabbed Damon's collar and pulled him closer with the remaining strength that she had. "…the forest of a bee."

Damon's mind was in haywire, but he tried his best to listen to her. "Forest of bees?"

"One of the eleven heirlooms of Kairi is there…" If the soul eater could read her mind when it possessed her, then she could do the same thing.

This was one of the reasons why Xierra walked straight into the trap when she already knew about it because she was aware this would happen, but the end didn't match up to what she had planned at all.

After saying that, Xierra was having difficulty breathing and her body grew colder…

Time passed so fast, yet for some people, time seemed to slow down and everything that evolved around them, just like what Russel and Claire felt right at this moment.

Without them knowing the phenomena of the total solar eclipse had ended and the sky once again turned dark when night fell.

They were waiting for the doctor to give them a piece of good news.

"We found a donor for Tarsa, but…"
