A Giant Bubble Saved Her

Zephyr quickly ran to the ocean to help them, he helped Avery, Elliot's friend, and was about to reach for Serenity's hand when it suddenly drowned in the water. The ocean suddenly started glowing as Serenity drowned without Zephyr noticing.

"Serenity!" Elliot ran closer to Zephyr, his face full of tears.

"P-please help them... Ms. Mermaid... Avery..." He cried pleadingly. Zephyr's mind was in turmoil, as to who he would help first. He looked again at the ocean where Serenity had drowned.

They turned to Elliot's worried mother. Elliot's Mom was shocked when she saw Avery, Elliot's friend unconscious.

"Can you take care of her first? Bring her to the hospital. I have to help Serenity..." Zephyr said, trembling. Elliot's mother nodded and took Avery to the hospital for help. Zephyr dove into the water to look for Serenity but a few hours have passed but he still can't find Serenity.

"Serenity, you should be careful." The mysterious woman said to Serenity and it touched her face before disappearing into the darkness again.

"Serenity are you alright?" Serenity's eyes opened and she was so shocked by what she saw. She is underwater but she's still a human.

"How can I breathe underwater if I'm not a siren?" Serenity asked herself.

"You're inside a giant bubble," Calypso said. Serenity's eyes widened and touched the giant bubble that saved her from drowning.

"How did this happen?" she asked Calypso.

"I also don't know, I just heard you calling my name so I kept thinking that something bad had happened, so I quickly went where I heard your voice and I wasn't mistaken," he says.

"Where's the kid?" Serenity asked Calypso worriedly.

"Kid?" Serenity nodded at Calypso's question.

"The girl I saved, she was drowning, I thought I could swim using these feet—." Serenity's words were cut off by Calypso.

"You should just ask for help, don't risk your life. You know you're not yet used to being human now look what state you are in right now." Calypso authoritatively said to Serenity.

"There aren't many human beings there, so I have no choice but to help the kid before she drowns and see I'm alive okay? I just have a little bit of a problem with how to get out of this giant bubble." Serenity touched the giant bubble. Calypso touched his chin while thinking about how Serenity could get out of the bubble.

"Prick? Yes, I'll try to prick that bubble." Calypso took a sharp stone and stabbed it but nothing happened as if it wasn't a bubble but a shield protecting Serenity. Calypso pointed the sharp rock at the bubble and threw it with full force, but still, nothing happened.

"You'll stay there for the rest of your life." Calypso jokingly said.

"Serenity, look at your arm, you have a wound." Serenity looked at her arm and Calypso was right because she had a wound on her arm.

"I know I didn't hit any rocks, so why?" Serenity asked herself in astonishment. Because all she could remember was that she held up Zephyr's hand but before that happened she had drowned and her vision had darkened.

Time passed and Serenity was still thinking of a way how she could get out of that giant bubble as she watched Calypso play with the school of clownfish. He looked at her and smiled foolishly. Calypso whispered something to the school of clownfish and at the same time, they approached Serenity and surrounded the giant bubble where Serenity was.

"H-hey Calypso! What are you planning to do?" The school of clownfish tried to squeeze the giant bubble but it still didn't blow up. The school of clownfish left and played with Calypso again. Serenity's eyes slowly closed due to fatigue.

"Serenity, touch and feel your pearl with your heart..." The mysterious woman said and Serenity's hand moved freely and touched the pearl on her necklace. Calypso looked at Serenity when the ocean suddenly started glowing and was shocked to see that Serenity was no longer inside the giant bubble, she's unconscious.

"Fuck, Serenity. What did you do right now?" Calypso immediately approached Serenity and brought her to shore. Calypso looked around and made sure no one could see them.

He stared into Serenity's face and said, "What's wrong with you? You're putting yourself in too much danger." Calypso gets rid of the strands of Serenity's hair that was blocking her face.

Suddenly, the pearl on Serenity's necklace started glowing, which grabbed Calypso's attention. Serenity suddenly sat up and was having trouble breathing, so she took a deep breath.

"Are you okay?" Serenity nodded at Calypso's question.

"What did you do—?" Calypso's words were cut.

"How did I get out of the giant bubble? What did you do?" Serenity asked Calypso in surprise, which made Calypso laugh.

"Why me? I'm still playing with my friends and then when I look at you you're no longer in the giant bubble and you're sinking in the deep part of the water," Calypso said which made Serenity's mind even more confused.

"You know, let your human body rest first there's so many things that happened to you today," Calypso ordered her to rest her body. Serenity rested back on the big rock and closed her eyes to the rhythmic sounds of waves.

The ocean water tickled her feet, the warm breeze across her face. The wind, the midwife of the seas, served a different master and whipped it into a frenzy. The foam bubbled over the sand and the shells that littered the shore.

"Ms. Mermaid!" Serenity looked at Elliot running towards her and suddenly hugged her.

"Oh! Why are you crying again?" Serenity asked Elliot worriedly.

"I-I thought you were going to die, Ms. Mermaid, I'm sorry, it's all my fault." Crying Elliot said to Serenity.

"You know, the water is my friend, don't you? Stop crying." Serenity laid Elliot's head on her lap and wiped the tears from his face.

"Close your eyes first and you've been crying for a while now, let's rest first because I'm tired too. I know someone will find us later." Serenity said and Elliot followed her.

For a full minute, there was no sound to be heard except the lapping of the waves. Then Serenity looked up at the great blue sky and thought how beautiful it was to see the little clouds folding over one another like a belt of rose-colored waves.
