Secretly the Queen of Crabs

After he said those last words, Zephyr saw tears in the old man's eyes, which he immediately wiped away. Zephyr noticed that the old man was touching the bracelet that was in his hand and realized that it was also the bracelet that Poseidon gave to Gyatso in the story.

"May I know what your name is?" Zephyr politely asked. The old man looked at him and smiled before answering, which gave Zephyr goosebumps.

"Gyatso..." He replied with a bitter smile.

"How do you remember everything that happened if Poseidon erased your memory with her?" Zephyr asked and resumed sketching.

"I don't know why I still remember everything that happened. It's just one day when I woke up and one by one, our memories started appearing in my mind. I cried every night, hating myself for not remembering her now that I know how she really feels for me. But it's good that I still remember because I want to see Poseidon again, the woman I first loved. Until now, I knew deep down that I was still in love with her. I know you think it's cliche that an old man hasn't moved on from his first love, but I can't deny that I'm really into her, and I hope she still feels the same way about me–." He hadn't finished what he was going to say when someone suddenly approached him. The way he talks, it's like he's just a 20-year-old man inside an old man's body.

"Dad, you're here again." Zephyr looked up when he heard an unfamiliar voice and saw a woman, the old man's daughter. The woman looked at Zephyr and bowed, which made Zephyr surprised.

"I'm sorry. Dad is always here and he always talks about a siren, Poseidon." She said.

"You don't have to apologize because I really liked hearing your Dad's story." Zephyr smiled.

"Ah, is that so? Let's go home, Dad." She said and took Gyatso home to their house, but before they could get away, Gyatso caught a glimpse of the oncoming Serenity, which made him stop and smile when he saw its approaching Zephyr.

"I hope you don't end up like what happened to the two of us..."

"Dad." He looked at his daughter and followed her on foot.

"What are you doing?" Serenity inquired, which surprised Zephyr because she spoke unexpectedly while Zephyr was preoccupied with something else.

"Sketching." Serenity never spoke or asked again and sat down while her feet were in the ocean water.

The sea was like a rippling blanket of brochure-blue. Squabbling seagulls flew overhead. Serenity looked at Zephyr, who was still busy sketching. A cool breeze brushed his face, ruffling his hair. Zephyr ignored it as he continued to sketch.

"I think he is very handsome indeed..."

The opera of the sea washed over Serenity, and the wave-music was welcome. Eventually, Zephyr finished sketching and smiled bitterly at the result he saw, which did not escape Serenity's sight.

"Why?" She asked and went behind Zephyr to see the result of his drawing. Serenity's tears came without warning. Zephyr looked at him when he didn't hear Serenity's voice.

"W-why are you crying?" Serenity pointed to what Zephyr had drawn, which surprised the young man.

"What's the problem? Does it look bad?" Zephyr curiously asked while looking at his drawing what was wrong.

"I don't know how to explain it, but just by looking at your drawing I felt longing and sorrow." Serenity said.

"It's like he's willing to wait forever." She added.

"You're right, maybe that's how Sir Gyatso feels right now." Zephyr lamented.

"Sir Gyatso?" Zephyr nodded at Serenity's question.

"But all I can say is that you're good at sketching because I can feel the emotions that you want to feel when others see this." Those are just simple words, but they made Zephyr really happy.

"Really?" Zephyr asked cheerfully, and Serenity nodded.

"I didn't know you could draw." Serenity, honestly said.

"I want to ask you something." Zephyr stopped arranging his things and looked at Serenity, waiting for what she would say next.

"If the person you drew is waiting for someone, who or what was that man waiting for?" Serenity asked while looking out at the ocean. Her white dress moved as if it were alive in the breeze, and her pink hair whipped around her face. She tucked the hair behind her ear that was getting in her face and then looked at Zephyr, waiting for his answer.

"Hmm, I'm not so sure, but maybe he's waiting for his loved one." Zephyr replied, as he resumed arranging the things he had used.

"You? What do you think?" Zephyr asked.

"Like what you said, I also think that he's waiting for the one he loves." Serenity answered.

"How did you say so?" Zephyr asked curiously.

"The look in his eyes said it all." Serenity, seriously said.

"The way he looked at the ocean while the moon's light was hitting his face. You can clearly see the sadness in his eyes. That's why I said earlier that I felt sorrow and longing. It's like he hasn't seen that person for a long time. " Zephyr nodded at what Serenity said.

"You also." Zephyr said, out of the blue.

"What about me?" Serenity asked Zephyr.

"Your eyes are sad too." Zephyr said as he slowly approached Serenity, he left his belongings above the rock and made sure that something was on top of it so that the paper would not fly.

"You already said that before," said Serenity.

"Yes but I just want to say it again because I want to know the reason why you're sad." Zephyr said seriously while looking into Serenity's eyes.

"You don't have to know the reason." Serenity's answer while also looking at Zephyr. They stared at each other and no one dared to break their gaze. But later on it was Zephyr who voluntarily averted his gaze from Serenity's eyes.

"Oh yeah! I'm wondering where you got that pearl? It's my first time seeing a pearl like that, kinda unique." Zephyr asked while kicking the small rocks.

"Oh my pearl? A woman gave it to me because she said she wanted my wish to be fulfilled." Serenity replied while holding the pearl on her necklace.

"What's your wish?" Zephyr asked as he brushed his hair using his hands that were blocking his face because of the wind.

"To have le-." Serenity couldn't finish what she was going to say when Zephyr suddenly screamed in pain because the crab tongs were at his feet. Serenity looked at the ocean and saw Calypso, who was giving her a thumbs up, which surprised Serenity. Only now did she realize that she could tell Zephyr the truth.

She also gave Calypso a thumbs up to thank him and helped Zephyr remove the crab that was pinching his feet. Serenity caressed the crab, which calmed the crab down and removed her tongs that were pinching Zephyr's feet.

"How did you do that? How did you get that crab to obey you?" Zephyr asked in astonishment.

"I also don't know I just caressed him." Serenity replied.

"Yeah, but that crab really obeyed you when you touched it. Maybe you're secretly the queen of crabs." Zephyr laughed and made Serenity shake her head.
