Interrogating The Wife of a Criminal

The afternoon sunlight valiantly emerged through the dazzling blue sky and widely pierced on a dirty-white, double tower apartment with dusty-brown dirt marks scattered around from upper till lower parts. The thickest dirt mark was located on the edge top of the tower on the right side.

Variety of corrosive skin vehicles like cars, motorcycles, and even trucks gloomily rested on the crowded, tight space parking lot. Each vehicle parked close together with one another as if the gap between were nonexistent.

There were even vehicles parked precisely in the front side of other vehicles such as motorcycles blocking the car access to get out. Visible wide or small scratch marks were occurred on some of the vehicles either a car or truck on the door part.

Therefore, the N.T.P.D car decided to take a secure parking lot on the apartment front gate. A corrosive steel fence protected the left and right side of the single, brown cylinder-like security post with two shattered windows located on the post middle part.

The apartment inside was no different than the outside view when it comes to the greasiness. Square tiles of the white floor were splashed with dark-brown muddy marks in a criss-cross row.

Rooms occupied the entire left to right rows in each of the dirty apartment floors. The rooms that had a rusty surface wooden door and a dying holographic three digit number with the color gold like a broken lamp due to it constantly flicker,

One of the rooms located on the 35th floor was room number 561 that was located on the end-edge of the right side, beside the large window with a single cross-shape cracking. A room belonged to the Hibiki's family and an interrogating conversation took place from inside.

Tabata with a blunt stare sat on the timberchair and placed his open palm on the circular creamy chair. He sharply glared at Hibiki's lovely wife, Sayato who winced in sorrowful demeanor.

"Sorry officer Tabata, I was also shocked knowing that Shinjou had already escaped." Sayato murmured.

"Okay then, when was the last time you made a call with him?" Tabata asked.

Sayato sighed, "It's on Yesterday morning and he was still inside his prison cell."

"Did you know where Shinjou is right now?"

The housewife shook her head, "I don't know."

Tabata curiously rubbed his chin to dig more a way for presuming the unresolved interrogation. The officer pinned the surmised glare onto Sayato, holding the harsh beating and coughed out a tiny splattering blood on the table.

At first, pity looked colored Tabata's entire face before he grabbed the piece of tissue paper from his pockets. He politely offered the tissue through opening his grip onto the coughing Sayato and tilted his head with a gentle smirk.

However, Sayato drew a refusal palm that made Tabata retrieve his offering hand as she slowly cleared her sore throat. She even let out a cheery smile with her eyes closed, convincing Tabata to return his suspicion glare.

"Anyway Miss Sayato, who was the person that Shinjou was working with?" Tabata firmly asked.

"I only know he ....worked with his old friend and his name is….Kazuto, I think." Sayato reluctantly answered.

Tabata hushly gritted his teeth, "Who is the old friend he worked with? A crime lord?"

"Yes..he is a crime lord from what he told me," Sayato hesitantly replied, "I'm not even fully sure who exactly he is."

The officer blew a sigh and leaned his back onto the chair to clear the burdening thought away. While Sayato stroked her hand in an unnerving demeanor before she held the beating heart once again and painfully screeched like a bullet pierced through her body.

An observing eye from Tabata was locked towards Sayato who began to shout in agony. The officer also kept feeling pitiness as he slowly steered a glass of water beside the housewife onto her

Gladful smirk widely colored Sayato's entire face especially when her eyes darted at The officer. Hence, Sayato took a long deep breath to balance the beating heart in an instance and accepted the glass of water with her grip.

"Thank you very much, Officer Tabata." Sayato thanked the officer before she sipped the glass.

Tabata firmly nodded, "Okay, this is the last question? Why did Shinjou decide to become a criminal in the first place?"

Sayato confoundingly bit her lips as she recollected the conversation on Yesterday and gazed down at the glass of water. Melancholic tears began to drop on the table, revealing the sorrowful grinned towards Tabata naked eyes.

With tears briskly falling down like a raindrop, Sayato took another long-deep breath for refreshment. She gripped her trembling knuckle that gave her a sluggish encouragement to create a hesitant smile.

"The reason is he wants to find a cure for my odd heart sickness." Sayato blurted out, "Paying the hospital treatment for this disease is out of our capability especially with his current job as a construction worker since he couldn't watch….me die."

"I already told him many times you have to let go because maybe this is my fate, but he wouldn't do it." Sayato added, "Therefore, when Kazuto had the medicine for this sickness, he quickly worked with him again and I couldn't stop his….determination."

The housewife sighed and glanced at the left with a pessimistic furrow, "Even though I felt very gladful hearing that and his will, I'm also afraid he will…lose his power just because of….me."

Sayato wiped her melancholic tears and Tabata locked an emphatic look as a flash reminder clicked in. A flashy picture of Hatoshi confidently smiling popped out in less than a second through his mind, shivering his spine.

The officer widened the surprise gazed on his face and heedfully watched the criminal house drown into despondency with the tears rapidly falling down. Squealing voice was declared from Sayato's throat that convinced Tabata to let out a pity winced.

Afterwards, Tabata got up from the wooden chair and declared an opened palm of a shaking hand that caught the despondent Sayato. She wiped out the melancholic tear and took a sigh of relief when she saw The Officer opened a cheerful smile as the integration had reached its end period.

"Thank you for your time, Miss Sayato and don't worry I will not charge you." Tabata remarked.

"Thank you very much..Officer Tabata." Sayato murmured and sorrowfully demanded before she let out another hurtful cough, "Please bring back my husband safely and tell him that I'm…..ready to accept my fate."

"I will."

Busy day inside Misaki's superhero base continued as she sat on the bluish holographic chair and sharply darted her eyes at the wide, sea-blue holographic screen that displayed several pictures related to Thunder Fang. Starting with the smallest picture on the bottom left that revealed the power disabler collar imprisoned by a transparent-like square bracket.

Then, a crystal-clear detailed picture of Shinjou with his inmates' clothing in a tight-standing position was contained inside the transparent-rectangular bracket at the same size as his. The inmates picture that was pinned by Misaki's suspicious stare.

Moreover, the right side of Shinjou's picture was a card-shaped frame containing the scanning test. The scanning test was brightly presented in a paper-white letter's form with a dark-grey background and it said, "Location couldn't be identified."

Misaki with an annoyed grin constantly shook her head and grinned in deep frustration as she clenched the tight fist. The Prime Minister's Daughter pushed the irritating glare until her head was near the blue screen.

"Not even a radar sign of him appeared?" Misaki bickered, "Shoot. The one that Thunder Fang worked with is very smart when it comes to anticipation.

"Especially on being detected because I already got his blood sample from the collars for my detecting machine." Misaki added. "I bet the enemy put some spell on it since right now, the collars couldn't counter magic or even Comic power, yet."

Eventually, Misaki leaned her back on the holographic chair and sighed in disappointment towards the inconclusive test result. She steered the bothersome eyebrows to the left to check the progress of another project.

Repose smirk colored Misaki's entire face as she glanced at the blue cylinder cell that contained the Chemistra suit inside. Hence, The Prime MInister Daughter blew the burdening thought away when darting at the paper-white holographic numbers that said "Upgrade Success".

"At least my upgrade of Chemistra suit going well." Misaki mumbled with a gleeful tone.

Then, a sudden phone call ring echoed through the whole lonely room and convinced Misaki to steer her cautious eyes towards the computer. She captured the picture of Agano in a standing position, vibrating a wave from left to right inside the large blue screen.

"Accept the call, now." Misaki firmly commanded.

The vibrating ringing faded instantly and the connecting voice replaced the spot at a moment before a breathing sound of Tabata was captured with Misaki's sight. A sigh of relief was declared from her side, preparing herself from hearing the news of her fellow friend.

"Hello, Misaki." Tabata's voice echoed into her Superhero base.

"Just tell everything you wanted to share about your interrogation." Misaki ordered, "All of my effort on detecting Thunder Fang failed."

An exhale was declared by Tabata, "Okay that's very unfortunate. I'm also sorry I couldn't find Thunder Fang's exact location. His wife didn't even know he had already escaped."

Misaki reluctantly pinched her chin and freed a worried grin after realizing the clue on hunting Thunder Fang exact location remained undeterminable. She could only close her eyes in defeat for temporal time.

"Look's like predicting his next criminal activity is the effective choice for now, right?" Misaki guessed.

"Correct, Misaki." Tabata bluntly replied, "However, I already found out who was working with and his name is Kazuto which is good news."

Misaki sighed, "And, you are going to research more about the…Kazuto guy right, Mr. Tabata?"

"Absolutely correct." Tabata answered, "I'm going to ask my wife about Kazuto since she used to work in the criminal territory."

"I see." Misaki spoke while blowing away a mild air and formed a smirk, "Thank you for sharing the information, Mr. Tabata."

The phone call presumed with Tabata let out a happy chuckle through Misaki's hearing. It gave The Prime Minister's Daughter an annoyed furrow that she steered onto the large blue screen.

"Speaking about Shinjou or his alter ego ThunderFang, he slightly….reminded me of Hatoshi or Sparror." Tabata nervously blurted out.

Misaki broadly raised a surprise furrow, forcing her to cross both of her arms on sharpening the observation. A cautious observation she declared for listening on the full detail of Tabata's upcoming statement.

"Continue." Misaki ordered with a deep voice.

"His motivation is mainly for his loved one, his wife." Tabata answered in a pity tone, "That's the simplest way to describe it."

Misaki shook her head in irritating demeanor, "So what, you wanted to stop him by talking. It will not work of course?"

"Probably, but you're right." Tabata spoke, "Talking will most likely not work on stopping Thunder Fang unless…I could use that as a distraction."

"Even though it's quite cruel in my opinion." Tabata added with a bitter demeanor. "However, if we want to protect this world, sometimes we have to play dirty too."

Misaki coldly nodded and widened the sharp stare towards the ongoing call to prepare a firm statement based on her experiences with the Superhero world. A haunting experience especially when it played a short footage of her mother's death that became an everlasting scar within her heart. Therefore, she clenched the trembling knuckle, acting as a starting point for declaring her statement.

"As long as we don't kill or put the criminals into a coma, I'm fine." Misaki mentioned with a chilling voice, "Besides, a tragic background is just meaningless in my eyes, especially if you're totally on the wrong side."

"Well…I halfly agreed with that, but I…understand your point of view, Misaki." Tabata reluctantly spoke.
