Meet with Lovely Family Once Again

Glamouring white light from above pierced through Shinjou's eyes awakened the blurry vision within. His lying down body slowly tried to get up from the slippery surface of the white floor he slept on.

Shinjou placed his palm on his tiring face temporarily and rubbed it as he exhaled a hurling whimper onto the whole white room with every gaping line embarked on neon blue lines. He glossed over his entire body and caught a clear picture of the cloth he was wearing right now.

The exact inmate's uniform Shinjou wore when he served the previous prison sentence as the rampaging Thunder Fang. However, the slight difference that occurred was the neon-red prison code number that announced, "423".

"Prisoner 423, you may take the seat." A gentle robotic female voice echoed across the room.

At first, Shinjou frowned with a confused look and he cautiously surveyed the surroundings. His sharp sight captured a glimpse of a cotton-white rectangular table with two sets of bluish holographic chairs.

The Inmates quickly headed towards the rectangular table before he swallowed his saliva in an unnerving demeanor. Shinjou briskly pulled the thick, yet glassy top rail of the chair and occupied the seat with a sigh.

"I hope the one who interrogated me is Officer Tabata." Shinjou muttered in worriedness. "Because the interrogation will be short."

"Especially when it comes to asking my crime boss…..The Boss." Shinjou added with a puzzling stare, "Yeah, The Boss that annoying…bastard, damn it."

Unnerving eyes darted at the edge left side of the room that presented a sparkling, neon-yellow N.T.P.D letter on the white wall's middle side. He wrapped his hands into one clenching fist and furrowing a frantic stare on the table, wishing for a suitable investigator on the recent criminal records.

He leaned his hefty back on the rugged, glassy holographic surface as a grunting voice growled. The Inmates pondered on the sky above the view of the room that only contained a blank white space with a bluish orb.

An orb that calmly levitated and spread the shimmering blue light on the entire room with its glass-like body. Shinjou shut his eyes and tightened the wrapping hands the more time his sight spent looking at the floating orb.

"Officer no.5093, Tabata Yozura has arrived." The gentle, female robotic voice

A gladful furrow emerged within Shinjou's entire face as he began to let out cackling laughter. The Inmates darted his delighted eyes towards the door that was latched on by N.T.P.D letters, enveloped with a bluish, horizontal-rectangular wall.

Furthermore, Officer Tabata entered the hushed room with him phasing through the holographic wall like an intangible ghost. The officer blew a sigh and glanced at Shinjou alongside a firm smirk as a form of greetings Shinjou.

Tabata swiftly headed to the interrogation table and pulled off the white chair for occupying his seat. He placed his extended arms on the table before sharply locking the rigid glare onto Shinjou who raised a shiver within his veins.

"Good Evening, Mr Shinjou." Tabata greeted.

Shinjou nodded, "Good Evening too, Mr Tabata."

"Let us begin the interrogation." Tabata pursued.

"Sure." Shinjou reluctantly agreed.

Afterward, Shinjou took a long deep breath that he sighed away to wash the sorrowful face and replaced it with the affirmative one. The Inmates clenched one of his fists as the interrogation was about to start with Tabata swallowing his saliva.

"Did you know where The Garuden Mask replica goes?" Tabata firmly asked.

The Inmates shook his head, "No idea. I just did what The boss asked. He promised me that he would give a cure to my wife."

"The boss, you mean Kazuto?" Tabata guessed as he pinched his chin with lurking curiosity invading his mind.

"Who is Kazuto?" Shinjou asked with a confused look, "I never heard that or even know him. I only know there is a guy named The Boss."

Tabata despairful frowned at Shinjou who had his entire face covered by a puzzling stare. The Officer gritted the shaking teeth with a deep annoyance heated within through his mind and tightened his grip.

"So, is The Boss also the same guy who assigned you like his personal fighter for the Mayujima Fight Club?" Tabata guessed.

"Yes, and if you wanted to talk about his face, I never really see it." Shinjou reluctantly answered, "I only knew he often had so many men as his representation, a lot of suited men."

A disbelieving stare embarked within Tabata's mind the more he darted his locking eyes towards Shinjou. Oddness in this current interrogation convinced the officer to tilt his head back and forth for surveying The Inmate's expression.

The rapid survey result was Shinjou still upraised his confused eyebrows even Tabata already sharpened the pinning eyes by lifting a little bit of the upper body. Instead, The Inmates slowly widened a dreadful stare with a frown.

The officer could only give a nod and sighed in defeat after the observation with the Inmates was finished. Tabata gripped his hand on the table's clean white surface as he firmly glared at Shinjou.

"Did you have any clue about The Boss' whereabouts?" Tabata asked once again with a mesmerizing stare.

Shinjou shook his head, "No and The Boss only contacted me by meeting with the suited man he assigned."

"As for the suited men, I only didn't even know they're….name." Shinjou blurted out with a frightening tone, "Instead, I just remembered that they just wear suits and black eyeglasses. That's all I have to say, Mr.Tabata."

"Anyway, this is the last question, did you remember who rescued you from the recent prison break in Murushima?" Tabata firmly asked.

Shinjou frowned, "No either, I just remembered being sent into some forest and a sudden phone activated."

Tabata let out another sigh of defeat and disappointment at the same time, especially on this interrogation only obtaining vague information. Watching Shinjou befogged expression convinced The Officer to wince.

Moreover, The Officer tightened the clenching fist till he finally broke free when he opened his reluctant eyes. Tabata rested his tiresome back on the chair once again, witnessing Shinjou attempting to relax his mood by closing both of the worried eyes in tranquilness.

"Officer no 105981, Asaka Nuzori has arrived." The sudden announcement of a gentle female voice echoed throughout the interrogation room.

The Inmates broadly opened his calming eyes to the same wall that remained being covered with the bluish rectangular wall. A tousled layered, short bob female officer with a neon-rose tattoo on the cheeks entered the room with a firm stare.

Asaka centered her nailing sight onto Tabata and bowed half of his body in respect. Afterward, the female officer headed towards her senior officer who was also up from the interrogation chair.

"Officer Tabata, since your interrogation is done, will you let Shinjou's family see him?" Asaka politely insisted.

The officer glanced towards Shinjou who dropped his jaw in delightfulness that began to turn into a yearning whimper. Tabata sighed and pinned his sight once again to his junior, Asaka who consistently kept an adamant expression within her face.

"Sure, Officer Asaka." Tabata said with a cheery smirk being opened to Shinjou, "He indeed deserved to meet him."

Asaka raised four lined up finger salutes on her forehead for the stoic, yet firmly Tabata and swiftly turned around her body. The Female Officer quickly walked towards the glowing holographic door.

Shinjou sharply witnessed The Female Officer leaving the interrogation room by phasing through the wall as she continued to walk. The Inmates declared a gleeful giggle and sighed in relief.

Whereas Tabata switched his sight onto the cheery Shinjou and lent an opened hand. The officer declared a welcoming smirk that lured The Inmates excitedly accepted his opened hand, shaking it with a sparking happy smile.

"Anyway, thank you for your time, Mr. Shinjou," Tabata exclaimed. "I hope you have a great time with your lovely family. Even though you must serve your sentences."

"You're welcome and they are indeed much more important than my power," Shinjou spoke joyfully. "I believed Sayato came to her because…she wanted to announce her heart disease was already gone."

"I really cannot wait to hear that news from her," Shinjou added with a bold-confident tone and extended the gleeful smile. "I know she probably is pissed that I lost my power, but like I just said before, family is more important than that.

Tabata reluctantly giggled as he retrieved back the shaking hands from Shinjou and turned around in the holographic door direction. The officer shook his head especially with him slowly leaving the interrogation room from The Inmate's clear sight.

While Shinjou darted his palm and no traces of surging electricity were detected within his naked eyes. The Inmates broadened the serene chortled alongside a gratified grin especially as a chance of meeting his family had fallen to his yearning hands

"Sayato, Karin, I really cannot wait to see you again. Shinjou exclaimed through his whole mind, "You are all one of the reasons why I willingly sacrificed my own power. You gave me a new purpose to live as just regular civilian tried to get money, being great husband, and the best father."

"Even though he is a nice man in the wrong place, I'm still quite pissed that the mission failed." Tabata irritatingly uttered within his room and closed his lips in a sorrowful demeanor. "Also, the investigation of Kazuto became unresolved again since he already altered his memory and probably his family too."

"But, don't worry." Tabata added, "There will be a day where you're going to be captured, Kazuto. As for now, I'm just going to improve and explore more possibilities with my Onmyouji power once again."

Afterward, Tabata went out from the intangible door into the outside of the white interrogation room. An outside view that contained a dark-grey metal wall and floor with the neon-yellow lamps levitated on above.

The officer noticed a presence of yearning Sayato with her healthily-fresh face and didn't show any sign of sickness, accompanied by Karin too, greeting them with a smirk. The housewife happily nodded with Tabata, while her daughter tightly held her hand.

"Good Evening, Mrs. Sayato." Tabata greeted.

"Good Evening too, Officer Tabata," Sayato replied.

Tabata forcefully sighed, "Is it true your heart disease is already being cured?"

Sayato nodded, "Yes Officer. It makes me very happy and grateful to have a generous, hardworking husband like him."

Then, a concerning mood colored Sayato's entire face and allowed her to bite her anxious lips. Tabata briskly confessed a cheerful smirk towards The housewife who also caught Karin's yearning stare that she darted on the holographic blue door.

"Sorry for asking this, Is my husband…already..lost his power?" Sayato asked with an anxious tone.

The officer chortled, "Yes, but he is still keeping his smile."

"Because curing you of that sickness is more important than his own power," Tabata answered with a little bit of hesitation.

"I see." Sayato uttered with a self-pity tone, "He is indeed the best husband I've ever had and I felt ashamed for myself. Especially when he recently saved me from the sudden heart disease."

Karin groaned, "Come on, Mama. Please don't think like that again."

"Just be grateful, Papa can save you," Karin argued.

Sayato could only giggle and slowly closed the concerning eyes before she opened it once again with a permission nod caught by Tabata's sight,.The housewife and her dearly daughter, Karin began to walk together onto the holographic door.

The officer calmly watched as both Sayato and Karin's presence went through the intangible door. Soon, a drumming scream of yearning, laughing, and whimpering echoed out loudly till Tabata could hear the noises crystal clear.

Tabata reluctantly chuckled with the drumming voice still echoing outside before he took the remaining steps on the left. Once again, the family reunion between Shinjou with his lovely wife and his daughter went smoothly to enjoy their own happiness even in this kind of place.
