CHAPTER – XXII

"What the…." my face turned pale in horror as I involuntary took a step back. Eli on the other hand, rushed at Lou to open ropes that tied her up, squeezing her skin badly. 

"Lou, what…How this happened?" I was flabbergasted, her skin looked so red, I took slow steps towards her and helped her to stand up and removed the gag. Eli was looking at me with suspicion.

"What happened, stay away from me." Lou pushed me with so much hate and hurriedly hid behind Eli's back. Eli got alerted and stopped me at a distance, when I try to come forward. "Lou, what is wrong with you? How the hell it happened to you and where is Lucas." 

"Eli, she, she did something to Lucas, have you not seen her attacking, Prince Alec." Lou reasoned with the genuine scared face.

"What are you saying I did nothing, for god's sake, why are you shading me?" I literally. Eli securely took her outside of my room by shielding her by his body like I was ready to attack her.

"Miss Sagitta cooperate, if you have done nothing." Eli told me and I nodded in response. He moved her outside keeping his eyes on me. He came inside the room again and started looking for him in the cupboards I got panicked and rushed towards him to stop him. I didn't want him to see the candle stand which I placed there in the closet.

"Wait you can't open this one." He raised his eyebrows. I moved forward and stood between the closet door and him. I looked very stupid doing this but anything to keep myself safe.

"Women's personal things" I stated.

"Miss Sagitta, move" His cold glares freeze me at spot. For a mere second his mismatching blue brown eyes gave me peace, which was long lost from inside of me.

"You are invading my personal space." I said firmly and in return he bluntly leaned a bit closer to my body. I hesitated, he is having this lip piercing which is also black like his suit, he is handsome no doubt and being a woman, I felt him having that power on me, but I stood on my ground.

"I thought you have already packed your belongings." He whispered and continued "Move, Miss Sagitta, If I make the prince know about this behavior of yours, you might get into more serious trouble than you already are in." He circled his arm around my waist and me closer to his body "What are you doing, Eli?"

"Finding what is so special in there?" I soon paused as he threw me on his shoulder to push me aside, "What? And what kind of childish behavior is that?" I taunted. 

"It's Better than just saying 'move' multiple times and waste the time." As he put me down, he moved to open the cupboard, I hurriedly grabbed his hand "Please, Eli" I said with hope he could just change his mind and better try to find out how Lou got all tied up. Although this must have been their plan to throw me straight all alone in the castle for the excavation perhaps, who knows.

"What's that noise?" he looked at my back, I turned as I heard the same noise, like something just splashed inside of water.

We both rushed towards the washroom door, the sight was horrific. "Oh my gosh! Lucas?" I backed away into the room again.

Eli passed through me and closed the washroom door immediately. "What the hell is this Oxyvi?" He hissed at me. I had no words to say, I was too stunned. "I don't know, Eli. I swear" I looked at him with pleading eyes. He thought for a bit and then scrunched his nose. "I have no time for this." He locked the door.

"Follow me, Miss Sagitta." He said coldly.

"What? We can't just leave him like that" I was flabbergasted. He raised his eyebrows at me and folded his hands on his chest. "Do you want to add one more crime into the list?" if looks could kill. "It is not matter of concern for me right now, and your safety is my duty." 

"If I killed him that meant I'm capable enough to save myself. Right?" I looked at him in disbelief, how could he be so certain about that I killed him.

"I didn't say that you aren't capable. But in your case, we aren't dealing with humans for sure." His face turned dark, and I gulped.

"Follow me." I nodded.
