Noah just stood there unable to think of any words that could explain his situation. He was half-naked in a place that looked like hell, killed an intermediate beast at level 6, leveled up three times to level 7, he just stood there dazed until reality hit him in the face, "gauging exams" Noah said suddenly realizing he had other things to do at this time, he didn't want to go back the way he was, he thought of a possible solution that could help his situation, he summoned the Velcri Cloak. He planned that if he could change the form of the cloak, he might be able to be protected at all times especially in the gauging exams. He concentrated a bit on the aura of the cloak, which was bright orange like his, he then shaped it into a military shirt and pants and to his delight, it worked.
Noah looked at the message in front of him and couldn't help but chuckle to himself, he had now a strength of 20, and an ability he could pass off as a fire conjurer, boy was he going to make his competitor beg for dear mercy. Noah stopped when he realized what he had just thought, he was never one for such violence but something about this new line of thinking, delighted him but he knew he had to keep his morals or he might end up mercilessly killing those who didn't even wrong him. Kastiel just knew that the world ahead is going to change the boy and his line of thinking, nevertheless, he just stood there and watched the scene unfold.
Noah took off his clothes after being sure no one would see him in his boxers. He put on his new clothes and felt a boost of strength as if he could crush a rock bigger than him in a single punch. He was going to ask Kastiel to teleport him back to the original realm but he had an idea, he closed his eyes and he poured his aura in a form of aura explosion and started moving the tiny balls of aura energy around really really fast and then exploding them causing a sort of space warp that transported him to his dorm room were he found Rhett.
Noah was more than delighted that his idea had worked yet he couldn't use it in real-time as people would say he had two abilities which, drama he did not need at this time. Rhett looked at him with his normal foolish grin. Noah had always wondered what Rhett's ability was but had forgotten to use his inspection skill as he had fallen asleep rather quickly but did not expect him to have one of the rare fixtures in Sector 3. Noah had used his inspection skill on Rhett and saw
Noah was surprised by the astonishing results. His goofy roommate was a level 10 and above all that, he had one of the laboratory-made fixtures, he had to be from one of the important families in another sector because no one could afford such an expensive fixture unless they were used as test subjects by the military, which depending on his personality, he wasn't. He decided to keep an eye on him as he might have exterior motives but as long as he was in the same dorm as him, he could use him for protection from high levels. "Please, you're weak for that, take your opponents head-on" he had Kastiel say in disgust, Noah just kept his silence and let him be as he knew that he was correct but didn't want to give him a sense of satisfaction.
"Ready to go," Rhett said loudly to get his dorm mate's attention. Noah just nodded slowly as they went off directly to the Hall where the gauging tests would be held as they had far gone the time for breakfast. The school was quite big and situated on a flat hill making the school have a lot of spare space so they had to put teleportation ports at different parts of the school to enable easy transportation.
The pair came across one at the entrance of their dorm building, the dorm building was really tall and, just like the rest of the school except the library, was painted in white which made it look futuristic. They stepped on the port and felt a ticklish feeling over their bodies, in another second, they were in The Hall where all the first-year students had gathered sitting along the bleachers along the large white area where the exams would take place. They had, unfortunately, been separated by the port and ended up sitting in the last two areas available. Noah had ended up sitting next to the beautiful girl from last time which made him blush lightly but hid it so no one could see him. The girl on the other hand was displeased by this because of their last encounter but had nowhere to go. For a brief moment, they had locked eyes, and taking that chance, Noah used the Inspection skill.
"Damn that system," Noah thought. It had said that he would be stronger than most but according to what he was seeing, there were a considerable number of people at levels 8 and 7, it didn't bother him but it just meant they would be tougher opponents than he thought.
A loud authoritative voice then sounded in the hall that confirmed what everyone had been waiting for. "The gauging exams shall begin shortly," A firm soldier said standing on top of a podium. "We will first go through all rules that are to be held for this Exam and beware that breaking in any of these rules will result in severe punishment," he said with a smirk as if daring anyone to do it but everyone just stayed silent.
"One, any kills will result in military detainment, two, use of soul weapons is not allowed but the use of beast weapons is allowed, three, there will be 10 white floating spores on the side of your opponents' ground, each team member must grab and crash it with all their energy to win a match," he said aggressively. "You will all be handed watches that will display your teammates for the exam and which team you will be versing along with the area where you will be fighting." "Ranks will be given out in the following ways:
Z rank: (900 and less) spike
V rank: (1300-1600) spike
U rank: (1700-1900) spike
T rank: (2000-2600) spike
S rank: (2700-2900) spike
X rank: (3000+) spike
"With Z being the lowest and X being the highest, any questions?" he asked in a bored manner.
"Yes Sir, when was the method of measuring energy levels change?" a black-haired boy asked a question that was on everyone's minds.
