A Truce?

'Why do you think they came back? Was it the Axe? Are they mad I killed their friends? But this is a great chance to test out the new dungeon!!!!' I spout out mindlessly as the group moves into the entrance and I see the leader of the last group pulling along 5 other men and a woman, all in leather or chainmail, chained to each other and their hands tied behind them. Each of these chained people were giggling or laughing madly with extremly deranged smiles on their faces while their bodies vibrated with energy. Behind this group there were two more people dressed like the leader, one man and one woman, each holding the chains that are attached to several creatures and monsters being led into the dungeon who seem to be in extremely horrible health.

"Kyle those humans are called the blood bathers. They're warriors that were branded as traitors to the bandit king and tried to sell out his location or their men. Instead of killing them they're thrown into the castles dungeons and tortured until they can't feel pain anymore then fed so many drugs and magical enhancements that they become savage beasts that only follow the orders of the king and his captains. Those creatures behind them are slaves they keep to help them survive out here. There's a night gnome that is used as a whipping post by everyone for training, that creature is called a Snog and it's a giant snail used to clean rust from weapons. They also brought a giant rat and Grat. This doesn't look good so be careful." Slax says as I focus on the group as the woman walks forward and faces the entrance to the first official dungeon room and clears her throat.

"Oh noble and powerful dungeon! My name is Anissa and I come before you in the name of the Bandit King Garthok to beg an audience with your noble familiar in hopes of creating a treaty between us! As a token of our sincerity we have come baring gifts in the way of both items and monsters for you to absorb and grow stronger from! We shall also follow the ancient rites of the dungeons and clear your challenges before expecting a meeting! We hope our efforts will be seen as a benefit and you choose to meet with us your greatness!" The woman yells fanatically as she pulls out a knife and slits the throat of the Night Gnome. What follows is the massacre of the slaves they brought with them followed by the a small pile of weapons and random items put in a neat row in front of the corpses.

'Tilly what in the hell is this about?!? They just murdered those creatures for no reason and they're talking to me!!! I thought you said people don't usually know about dungeons being alive so why are they here?!?!' I yell in a panic before a new pop up appears under the new ones that appeared, calming me as I read the information.

[Retrieving Emergency Tutorial....Complete! Deals between Dungeons 101- Young Dungeon Core! It seems you've found yourself in a rare ordeal. You have mortal sentient races willing to work with you in an alliance type situation, but obviously this isn't safe so what to do? The answer is very simple my friend, in the ancient edicts between the first dungeons in this world and the gods that created them it states that an agreement between mortals and dungeons can be created but the mortals must first complete several objectives before being allowed to meet with the Dungeons proxy ie. their familiar to negotiate. Number one the mortals must supply the dungeon with at least three resources it does not possess so that it can strengthen its loot options. Second the mortals must sacrifice at least one creature to the dungeon so that it can add new mobs to its repertoire. Thirdly the mortals must be able to defeat the dungeons current floors in their entirety in order to prove their strength as well as show their ability in combat and planning. Finally the mortals must sacrifice at least three mortal lives to the dungeon whether they die by the dungeon or their own hands. If all four of these tasks are met the dungeon may allow it's familiar to meet with the mortals. All bosses will be revived immediately and allowed to accompany the familiar as a security measure and form of defense as well. The choice is yours as to what you do and good luck Young Core!]

'So...Tilly you could read that as well right?' I ask quietly as she nods her head slowly as she looks at me questioningly.

'Slax I want you and Banshee in the second floors village square its time for your debut. Spooky give it everything you have. Shank awaken and prepare! If they can finish the last two tasks we will listen to them, no promises on anything else. but they're going to be the first ones to challenge the improved dungeon and I need feedback!' I say calmly as Slax mounts Banshee and sets off for the second floor while Spooky hides himself within the shadowy mini forest of his boss room. Checking in with Shank I watch as the goblin robotically begins setting basic traps ranging from darts and pitfalls to explosive and trick walls. Bobbing once in excitement I return my focus to the group and watch them unchain the blood bathers and enter my improved first floor.

"It be changed now! Before it were barren with only one castyr but now I can count four and there's brush, shrubs, and flowers. Pretty sure the pitfall is ten paces ahead." The leader says gruffly as the blood bathers zero in on the castyr in the room and charge towards them, glowing weapons of various colors appearing in their hands as they begin a massacre.
