The Duo

Looking at the new creature before me I can't hide my surprise but also my disappointment that I can't personally choose their professions. But looking at the list of choices I feel relief that at least he chose something useful, who would actually choose some of these!? Vermin Breeder? Chocolatier?! Seriously what the hell! As I'm thinking this I continue to watch the scritcher boss slowly get up before kneeling before me, its voice now somehow smoother and more civilized than the others.

"Master of the core, I thank you for this honor. I shall make use of the lab to begin learning the extents of this new craft and I hope my choice can bring bounty to us all. With your permission I wish to begin immediately." It says in a voice that makes me imagine libraries and studies for some reason. I mentally thank the creature and watch it depart before looking at the two zombies with interest.

'Both of you have been toiling away and building that third floor for awhile now, no complaints or wants. I know you've become sentient so are you happy with your work?' I ask as the zombies smile happily while nodding.

'Then prepare yourselves. What happened to Narghal will soon happen to both of you. You'll have the choice of what to do but you can't choose the same profession. Take your time in choosing.' I say as I activate the skill once again and focus on the zombie Satyr. Quickly I notice the zombies legs slowly growing thicker before I see vines slithering through its flesh, the plants replacing muscles and fibers throughout its lower half as its upper body begins thickening with muscle and plates of bark. Upon the zombie satyrs skull the nubs of horns it had crack before large rams horns burst through the skin, one horn shattered while the other whole and curled into a tight spiral. As the transformation finishes the rot on the zombies body begins to sprout small mushrooms and moss.

{New Boss Created! Boss Name- Gratin the Woodsman Boss Grade-E Description- Gratin was once a proud satyr warrior, his hooves coated in the blood of his enemies. Then he took a quest in a land ruled by death. Soon he found himself alone in a land who's forests were unfriendly and beasts unpleasant. He struggled in vain before eventually expiring in a darkened corner away from anything truly of nature. But death was not his end as a wave of undeath invaded his body and forced his corpse to rise, his screaming soul within unable to rebel as his body stumbled through this land of death, attacking those he at one time would have defended. Now he once again has been forced to rise but instead of violence he was given a choice. He chooses to follow his new master of his own will, and use this opportunity to bring life back to this land!}{Boss creature may choose a crafting profession! Gratin has chosen the profession Grove Master!}

"Thank you my lord. I know you may have wished for something more suited to expansion but I promise that my abilities will surpass that of a lowly craftsman. I will feed our people, shelter them within my boughs, and nature itself will bleed our enemies dry to give our roots life. I swear this upon my undeath." The zombie satyr says as he slams his fist to his chest and looks at me with solid black eyes, a small spark of blue flame in the center

'Very good Gratin. You may go now if you wish or stay and witness your friends transformation.' I say as I focus on the other zombie, its dwarven features rotted away and barely distinguishable except for its height and tattered beard. Activating the skill for the last time I watch as the dwarven zombie lets out a happy rattle before two large humps appear on its back before breaking through, skeletal arms waving happily as one of the dwarves natural hands begins to shine and becomes a large hammer. Metal begins to appear across the zombies body as meat and muscle regrow and the dwarves face slowly restores itself to a semblance of life.

{New Boss Created! Boss Name-Grabba The Abyssal Smith Boss Grade-E Description- Grabba was once part of an illustrious dwarven clan, the battles were fierce and ale cold. But while others enjoyed their raping and pillaging Grabba felt a kinship with a different form of battle. His hammer against the anvil and his magic tearing holes in reality he was eventually exiled from his clan when they found him slowly bleeding a demon to death, its blood and organs filling jars around his workshop. Grabba used the lifeblood and pieces of these creatures to create his weapons and armor, each cursed and blessed as he saw fit. When he heard of a land of death and darkness his interest was pricked, so he found a band of useless twits and followed them to the land and glory. Sadly Grabba was found harvesting one of his parties eyes and was quickly cut down. But undeath brought the sadistic dwarf back and this time he follows a master who can use his gifts.} {Boss creature may choose a crafting profession! Grabba has chosen the Profession Demonic Smith!}

"Aye this shall do nicely. Yer the lord round here so I be taking your orders sir." The dwarf says as he stares up at me with burning red eyes. I nod internally before reading his profession and feeling a sense of both shock and dread.

'Grabba you are not to torture any of our dungeons inhabitants or the adventurers. Clean kills unless your told otherwise got it?' I say more than ask as I watch the dwarfs face fall in disappointment before he nods reluctantly.

"Aye I can do that. My wares won't be as powerful if it ain't fresh but I be thinking with the array we have here, I could prolly be askin' fer donations." He says as he begins muttering under his breath and wanders away with Gratin following behind him.

"So they turned out to be more interesting than I expected." Emi says as she watches the dwarf continue down the hall, a small smile on her lips as she follows after him.
