Bertram's Band of Bandits

"What in the fourteen hells is happening out there?" growls a towering man sitting on a makeshift throne, the spoils of his conquests making up or piled behind the faux ornate chair that barely contains his weight.

"From the reports we've been getting in we seem to have a jailbreak situation. Somebody released a few of the higher tier slaves or captives and they've gone on to release a good majority of the intelligent creatures. Added in are a few of our parties that have never agreed with our way of doing things which wouldn't be so bad except we have reports of a wereboar, a gray render, and an Al-Miraj all causing massive issues with our enforcers." Anissa says nervously as another screech is heard outside before a following thump and gurgle resulting in silence.

"The render is the pet of that one tamer right? Picked them up as they were struggling through the area, and the magic rabbit is that dungeon girls pet. Kill them., all of them. If the dungeon decides to retaliate at that point then so be it, bad enough when we have one mad dungeon in the area." The large man growls out as he pulls a large war axe onto his lap, the weapon barely able to be wielded by a normal man sits comfortably in his one handed grip.

"That's another problem boss, sightings of the troll, deathknight, minotaur, and feroc have been seen on the west end of town along with multiple types of undead. They've been attacking both sides and dragging back the bodies to be risen." Anissa explains before stopping and frowning, her eyes squinting in confusion before looking to the door.

"I smell death magic. I told you that pet death priest would turn on us. I guess its time I did some leading then eh?" Growls the voice as he stands to his full height, his freakishly muscled body matching his height as the horns stop his head brush against the ceiling and the chainmail armor rattles upon his first step.

'Shit I didn't think that nasty dungeon would pop up here, they must've been watching for a chance to attack. Call Sarah and her allies back to the dungeon, we can use their help to safeguard my core and maybe cause some damage.' I say frantically as Tilly begins putting on her fancy armor and Emi smiles viciously as a bleeding whip appears in one hand while a jagged longsword appears in the other. All around the dungeon my creations begin preparing for war, bats lifting grave crawlers and abyss snakes into hidey holes in the ceilings for sneak attacks, the gnomes each bringing a giant mechanical creature out for combat that's surrounded by random junk creatures, the castyr population growing to the size of small horses with their levels unlocked, each taking a scritcher warrior onto their now armored backs.

"Boss I can feel dark magic at work above us, several of those bosses are undead and will be difficult to deal with. We don't have anyone with fire magic." Grabba says nervously as he wields two shields and a war hammer in each of his new hands.

"Foolish dwarf! You forget that we have a perfect creature to combat these heathens that step foot into our hallowed halls! My pet shall rain righteous flames upon them and we will offer their ashes to our lord!" Shouts Shank manically as Spanks slowly approaches behind him, a look of fury and zeal on its insectoid face.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Sarah! I just saw Anissa and that stitched up guy killing one of the ogres we released! The boss and his squad have started to move! Also we have incoming bosses from the dangerous dungeon including that damn minotaur thats been wreaking havoc!" Tommy yells as Poppa trudges behind him, the lower half of a bandit in one set of hands as the other half hangs from its jaws while it coo's happily.

"Minotaur? Kyle would love to have something like that....but if the big people are out we can't really do anything. Gather up anyone who's helping us and meet at the dungeon entrance. Technically since we're siding with his quest he can tell the mobs inside to be nice. Any of you monster people that can understand me and want to stay free are welcome inside the dungeon as well! You don't even have to fight! He's always looking for just helpers and stuff!" Shouts Sarah as several of the smaller creatures smile or nod in relief.

"We'll follow you for now but if Bert The Butcher gets to us there won't be survivors. We need to move child, and quickly." Says Iron as several other blood drenched women stand behind her, each smiling happily or letting their steely gazes drop on the most dangerous creatures around them, the sense of uncertainty surrounding them.

Heaving a sigh of joy the gargantuan man smiles as the body of the lich falls to the ground, both its skull and the small vial within it turned to pulp from the butt of his war axe.

"Where are our reinforcements Ani? And is that thing still causing issues in camp?" Grumbles Bertram as he looks around him and smiles at the piles of freshly returned to death bodies surrounding him.

"They're trying sir, looks like the trouble starters are retreating towards the dungeon, with about two thirds of the slaves that are actually intelligent. The feral's are helping us surprisingly by taking out anything that gets close so we've just been leaving them be until we can contain them again. As for the corrupt dungeon bosses, the deathknight and troll were seen making their way towards the dungeon as well, the minotaur is on the south end now and the lich as you know is no longer a threat. That damn creature though is still loose and eating everything it can. Last seen in the center of the camping area, devouring a centaur we captured a few weeks ago. Ate him...hooves and all." Anissa says with a shiver as she recalls the gelatinous red creature with flailing tentacles slowly pushing the horse creature into its body, the still living man screaming in agony as his body dissolved while still breathing.

"Good, leave it to clean up while we deal with the bull. Let the other two soften the dungeon before we shatter it. Betrayal is met with force." Bert says before he rears back and throws his war axe, the spinning blade embedding itself into a charging ogrekin, its body cooling before it even hits the ground.
