Sales Talk

"You guys follow me." Ban instructed the Scott and other soldiers.

Ban informed Elena and the other to enjoy the area first as he needed to instruct the soldiers alone.

Elena and others agreed and they scattered everywhere to closely inspect the buildings.

The soldiers followed Ban to the main headquarters.

"This is the place that you guys will be guarding from today henceforth." Ban glanced at the crowd after entering the palace.

The soldiers nodded. However, their eyes couldn't helped but wander around at how luxury the palace was.

"First things first." Ban raised his finger to grabbed the attention of the soldiers.

The soldiers focused on Ban.

"You have a salary of a hundred million dollars annually."

"Wha..."

The soldiers gawked. Back in the military, their annual salary could only get 200k dollars and that includes everything with bonuses. Now, Ban offered them almost their lifetime service on military in just one year of salary. How they not be shock by it?

Ban waved his hand, "Money doesn't really matters in your job."

The soldiers were puzzled. Money is everything in this world. Everybody fought for it and that is the nature of life. Now, Ban told them that money isn't important in the job? Then what is?

Ban rolled his eyes and utter a word, "Power."

Scott and the soldiers finally realized what Ban wad referring to.

Ban glanced at the group and said,

"If you have powers, you can get anything in world, including money. Whether in bad or good means."

The soldiers nodded. However, Ban's statement only applies to the strong people.

Ban saw their thought and said, "Second this is, you guys guarding this place needs more power, way powerful than you can imagine."

"Do you personally train us, sir?" A female soldier asked. Although Clara gave them pointers that made them very strong, they are still looking forward on how Ban train them.

Ban shook his head, "I won't train you. However, there comes the benefits on being my private guards."

Scott was elated. Her intuition told her about following Ban back then. Once Ban announced that he was recruiting people, she immediately grabbed the opportunity.

Ban gave her Basic Fighting Fundamentals back then, but she can't even master ten percent of the technique. He also gave her the Steath as an additional reward, but she barely make her arm turn invisible due to the lack of guidance from Ban.

"Before I start with the benefits, I just need to say one thing." Ban smiled and continued, "I don't want your guaranteed loyaty towards me. You decide it in your hearts."

Scott and others were flabbergasted. Gaining a trust from the workers is a must for the employer. That's a given. However, Ban stated that he don't need their loyalty. What kind of nonsense is he talking about?

"I know it sounds bullsh*t. However, that's for others, not me." Ban waved his hand and continued, "I can tell if one is a bad seed or not."

The soldiers wanted to ask Ban about it, but they were afraid.

"You, step forward." Ban pointed at a male soldier.

The male soldier got startled before he did what was told.

"I can tell your cherished secret in front of everyone." Ban smiled.

The male soldier's heart skipped a beat. He took a deep breath and shook his head with denial.

"There's no way Sir can guess my secret. But please tell us about it."

The other soldiers became interested.

Ban nodded and said, "You see your blood sister as a woman and you wanted to have a couple-like relationship with her. In fact, you also has a thing for your mother. That is why you escaped your house before it got worse and joined the army."

"W.T.H?!"

Other soldiers couldn't help, but stare at the male soldier in disbelief.

The male soldier's face turned pale as he stared at Ban in horror. His body was shivering nonstop as he couldn't believe Ban knew his kept secret.

"You did the right thing." Ban commended as he dismissed the male soldier.

Ban stared at the remaining soldiers and smiled, "Should I tell your secrets too to prove my point?"

The remaining soldiers jolted and shook their heads adamantly. Maybe Ban could reveal more darker secrets than the male soldier if that happens.

"I can see your very soul. Nothing can elude my eyes." Ban indifferently said.

The soldiers gulped at the thought. Somehow, they didn't want to face Ban face to face. He's like a god in their eyes.

"You only need to do is one thing, to guard the place. I won't supervise you daily. I can tell if one is not doing well in their work. That is why I don't need your loyalty. Just follow your conscience and it will be alright." Ban waved his hand.

The soldiers nodded seriously.

"Now, for do's and don'ts." Ban paused and continued, "Pretty much nothing. You can use any facilities in the area. You can relax all you want as long as the area is secured 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 12 months a year."

A female soldier raised her hand.

"Go on."

"Can I take a selfie in the area?" Her eyes shined.

"You can film all you want." Ban chuckled and continued, "However, never reveal the location of the place. Also, never invite anyone to come in this place, including your closest kin no matter what."

"Any questions?"

Everyone shook their head.

"Good." Ban nodded. He continued, "This place is still under construction. Also, there's no electricity that connected to this place so you expect that there will be no lights at night. However, none of it is important since this place is invisible from outside so there will be less intruders to come here."

"For the final and the secret part, I want you to abolish your power whether you are Enchant or Elemental." Ban stared at them.

The soldiers changed their expression greatly. Ban's instruction is not possible unless they die themselves.

"Sir..." Scott wanted to say something, but Ban cut her off.

"This is where I introduce you guys to my world." Ban waved his hand and continued, "Being a Divergent is just the beginning to become stronger. However, that power is only for mortals, it has limits."

Scott and the others heaved a breath of air. Ban was about to tell them that there is something better than Divergents.

Basically, turning into a Divergent is a dream come true to any of them. Why not? You become ten times more powerful, even hundred times. Even legends told that one can have thousands of times in terms of physical strength.

Others can breath fire, create magical things using elements and more.

Ban smiled and he suddenly floated a few inches in the air which astounded the crowd.

"I'll introduce you to have an opportunity to become.."

"A God. An Immortal entity."
