Something unexpected. [Day 4]
Feeling something wet on my face I open my eyes to find myself face to face with Rex. Wait. Isn't Rex white with blue stripes. The thing that is licking me has black fur and red eyes.

Being surprised by it I move back but that causes pain to go through my body.
Me: "Ahhhh."
Note to self-do not move around so quickly. Looking around the cave I can see that light is entering the cave from the rising sun. I also spot Rex lying next to me looking towards me.
Slowly getting up I move next to Rex.
Me: "You alright Rex." Saying this I rub his head with my hand whilst he moves his head to cuddle into my hand.
Looking at his body I see that much of his blood has been cleaned up which is odd seeing how I did not do that. It is then when I see that our new friend has gone back to Rex's leg and is licking it again.
Rex must be a bit of a player to be getting the ladies to help him. Anyway, not important right now as I can hear my stomach rumbling. Deciding to cook food I head into the woods and search for some dry wood and also for the river to get some water and find flint to help start a fire.
Once I have that I go back to the cave, I gut the wolf there and start the fire. I then fry the wolf meat in the pan along with some lettuce from the woods.
I then feed Rex, the new lady wolf and I the new food. For reference, wolf meat is quite tough but very juicy and does not taste like anything I have had before.
Whilst eating my food I decided to look at my notifications for the battle.

Well, the battle did well for me in terms of advancing but I don't think that I would recommend this to anyone. Also looking at the notification and thinking back to the battle when I stabbed the young wolf in the eye with the flint dagger, I moved a lot faster than I thought I could. That must have been when I gained the skill and class.
I can also see that I am not fully healed yet or have my full stamina even after eating the food. It seems that food can only hear certain wounds and the more curious will need better healing methods for instant healing.
After a good breakfast, I look towards the new person that has joined us. From the looks of it she seems fine she even seemed to take care of us and helped clean Rex, so I don't think she is "bad". I didn't see her in the battle yesterday but there was bad visibility when it happened.
What is interesting about her is that she is a young wolf but is a mutation. There could have been a chance she was separated by the group of wolves. I am unlikely to find out but she seems good so I think I will take her in.
What would be a good name for her? I think Freya. I quite like it. Getting up I walk over to her and kneel in front of her.
Me: "I will name you Freya." I then scratch the back of her head when I do. She also seems to agree to the name as she rubs against me.
With that done I check on Rex and see that he is at least on his feet and moving if somewhat slowly.
Me: "Alright let's leave here the body that I gutted will eventually attract something and I want to leave so let's get out of here."
The three of us then leave the den and head back home. On the way, I use the flint that I got from the river and made a new flint dagger then place it in my scabbard belt.
After a long walk with Rex still being injured and my body still hurting, we arrive back home by around evening. Inside the cave is still some of the dried meets which we use for dinner we then head to bed all cuddling together.
