The meeting part 1. [Day 12]

For the past two days, I have just been training in my class as I believe that that will give me a big advantage over the bandits that we are going to be fighting. During those two days, I had managed to level it up once.

[Class has levelled up: 1/5 -> 2/5]

[Gained 2 Unassigned Stat Points.]

Rex and Freya have been hunting both those days trying to evolve as fast as they can. Valret and the guards have also kept with the training program and guard duty with two hunting, two protecting the miners and one protecting the village.

The village is doing well, the wall around the gate and the gate itself are now prepared and reinforced. The ditch has basically just been formed and two holes on either side of the gate and are slowly being dug out, they are also creating the stakes that will be placed in the ditch. A few of the houses are being rebuilt and repaired after they nearly came down on the occupants but otherwise more work is placed on the wall and preparing the wood.

The farmland is also being planned out with Franz leading that they have decided to clear out the area to the east of the village for a large farmland area.

It was now the day that the other villages would be meeting with us. We just had a messenger run to us saying that the other leaders would be arriving before lunch.

We still had the mining team out with their guards, but the other three guards' squads were here for extra protection just in case. Valret and I were waiting at the gate entrance for their arrival.

Valret: "Do I need to be here it just feels pointless."

Me: "Yes you do, just in case that something goes wrong and one of these people are bandits, I will need your help."

Valret: "Fine."

From the treeline emerges five people and as they get closer, I can get a better look at them.

The First person is a taller than average Kabalt with ginger red fur and a sword strapped to his waist. He seems to walk with a swagger in his step and overflowing with confidence and vibrato. When he reached me, he does not shake my hand and talks in too loud of a voice.

Valeg: "Names Valeg, let's get this dumb meeting done and get out of this crap hole so that we can go deal with my bandit problem."

Ignoring annoying asshole one I move onto the next person.

She is a petite Kabalt with a cute round face, small brown eyes, light brown fur and carrying two twin daggers. She seems a bit skittish but still holds herself well and talks in a confident voice.

Liko: "My name is Liko, It is nice to finally meet you, I hope this meeting can be beneficial to us both."

She seems to be ok so there is no reason why we can't create a deal with her, unlike the last guy.

Next is a Young Amux carrying a bow and quiver. With light green fur and purple eyes, he seems unique. He talks in a steady voice like he is in no rush and seems to be constantly checking his surroundings.

Alor: "Alor. I hope we can help each other out."

He seems a very observant and useful person to get on with and could be helpful later.

Behind Alor was a very fat but short Kobolt with a pudgy face. Somehow his fur was greasy and black, and he looked to be struggling to breathe. He talked like the fat around his neck was constructing his pathways.

Flugl: "Hu, names Flugl, hu, I look forward to you helping us."

Already expecting me to work for you. Bad start to a conversation. I also see he has no weapon.

The last was a tall and well filled out Kabalt who carried two short swords on her sides. With sharp green eyes, golden fluffy fur, she looks breathtaking. She talked in a crisp accent and with confidence.

Nilahr: "It is my pleasure to make your acquaintance. My name is Nilahr. I look forward to seeing what we can both bring to help each other."

Business partner spotted. Already offering something if I help her.

Three out of five is a good number of partners to start the trading expansion later. I am already looking forward to it.

Me: "I am glad that you are all finally here, there is much to talk about so there is no need to waste time outside. Follow me to the meeting area."

Flugl: "Finally I cannot stand this heat."

Dude. We are in winter. Whatever not going to think about that. Maybe he has decided to hibernate.

Entering the village, I lead them to my house.

Valeg: "God this place is a dump, all these houses are falling apart."

A bit like my opinion of you but you don't hear me saying anything.

Alor: "Stop talking, you're irritating."

Valeg: "I can do what I like so why don't you shut up."

I can then see Alor roll his eyes. Looks like I will have to be dealing with a man child. Great.

After a while, man child continues to keep talking so I just tune it out as I can feel myself losing brain cells.

We reach the house, and all sit at the table. Valeg and Flugl both take the opposite head of the tables whilst the rest of us fill in the seats in between. With Liko and I on one side whilst Alor and Nilahr on the other side. Rex and Freya lay down next to the door with Valret guarding the door.

Valeg: "You keep your dog's inside are we lowly villagers put them outside."

I blow out some air to comprehend what the man child just said. I can't be bothered to deal with that.

Me: "That is not important right now we joined here to help talk about -."

Valeg: "I don't want those dogs in here put them outside or I will."

Taking another breath, I then reply with the calmest voice and my best smile.

Me: "I don't care what you want, this is my house and currently the only dog that I see is you. So, if you don't keep your trap shut, I will be putting you outside. Maybe if you are a good boy, I will let you back in."

This seems to stump him as it is most likely that no one has talked to him like that. Ignoring him I then get onto why we are here.

Me: "The bandit problems at all of your villages need to be sorted out I am –"

Valeg: "Hey you can't talk to me like that. I'm going to fight you to show you who is the boss here."

Baby can't get what he wasn't so throws tantrum. Maybe he going to start crying.

Me: "I am not going to fight you can we ge-"

Valeg: "Are you scared that I would beat you because I will."

Me: "I won't fight you because I have nothing to prove. I don't need to help you. You need me. You can either stay or leave I could not care less."

Valeg: "You are just scared that I would beat you, which I would. Your nothing but a scaredy-cat."

God this is the most painful conversation I have had in a long time.
