The new soldier. [Month 2 Day 6]

After the burial ceremony, we all went on our separate ways except for Valret and I.

Me: "Valret I have some good news. Horst evolved his class and is now a Rank 2 blacksmith and has managed to make some Uncommon weapons. He should be able to make around five before the night so I want you and your squad to take the weapons so that you can get your class. Before you ask yes, the other squads will get them after you, but it will follow the chain of command. It is the most organised way to do it."

Valret: "Yes sir."

Me: "Good, got to Horst before the night begins with your squad and pick up the weapons."

With the new weapons deal with it, I head on back home because there are a couple of things I need to do.

Getting home I plop myself on the sofa in the living room and look at my stats. The first thing is levelling my Basic Fire Control. I haven't done this as I kind of got distracted by evolving my class and forgot about it. That was my bad.

> Basic Fire Control (Rank 1: 5/5)

[Skill has ranked up please chose new Skill.]

> Fire control (Rank 2: 0/15)

Fire is a deadly weapon if kept unchecked not just for the victim but also the attacker. Learn to control it and it can become a great weapon.

Not many options here.

[Skill Basic Fire Control Rank 1 has ranked up into Fire Control Rank 2]

That was the first and main thing. The second and more important one I need to figure out is the training of the other stats points.

They seem very odd because you don't gain any stats in battle like when I swing my sword around, they are technically training but for some reason, it does not increase my stats. I have delayed it long enough and the night attacks have become easier so I don't need to work and think about that so much and can spend some time on this.

I'm also going to change my stats menu and move the training stats that say out of 100 and place them right next to the corresponding stats. With realising that the system is just a glorified data representation I found out that I can move a lot of the stuff in the system around. Previously I had changed notifications like turning off companion notifications. But now I want to change how the UI looks which is very convenient. With so many people in the work, it would make sense that everyone would want it different.

Now back to it. The training. The first thing that comes to mind is doing daily exercises and such. I don't have any weights so I shall have to use my body weight.

Getting down on the ground I done some Diamond head push-ups, dive bomber push-ups, incline push-ups. I managed to use two chairs and did some dips. But after all this, I still did not get any notifications.

Still not notification so it is not just simply training then and needs something more. What more can you give to training, it's just moving the body around to damage and then repair the muscles, so they grow back stronger and larger.

I pace around the room trying to think of what to do.

Right, so I tried my INT by using my magic and mana and used it like a muscle and although exhausting to constantly keep charging then emptying it increase in stats points.

Ugh, I don't know. Distraction time.

Getting away from the back of the room I move over to Rex and Freya who are both messing around and play fighting on the ground.

Me: "Surprise attack." I say whilst jumping onto them and joining the fight. I go for their weak spots which are behind their ears which causes their legs to tump against the ground.

Me: "I think that is a win for me."

Rex and Freya not liking that use their mana to overpower me. With Rex using his strength to flip me onto my back and Freya using her speed to jump on top of me. Rex wants in on the fun also flops down on my burying me beneath their fur.

Me: "Help I'm being smothered in fluffiness."

Bad idea to talk as I got a bunch of their fur in my mouth which I need to spit out and scrape out my mouth.

I continue to play with them for a few moments before realising I need to get back to what I was originally doing.

I get back to pacing.

So, INT uses mana or at least the mana stat which I use to do magic. Magic is outside control so not what I need to think about. Mana is inside. Mmm.

Mana was used in healing my body when I was injured and when you do exercises back on earth it was essentially destroying yourself and then repairing.

Exercises with mana. Maybe.

Getting back down on the ground I do the same Dimond head push up but then also fuel mana around my body.

[Trained stat: STR + 1]

Ha. Suck my balls I've got you all figured out now. He.

Why do you need mana though? Mmm.

Most of the other things like skills and such was talking about potential and got you to gain more of it right. The stats just represent what is essentially your maximum you could be. You could have 100 STR but you won't use that all the time as that would be inefficient.

The mana must then unlock what further potential you can take your stats and body which is natural for your body. The training then allows you to get to the potential max and then the mana repairs the body and gain more potential.

The unassigned stats must be what is unlocked unnatural and what seems to be given by the world itself.

Fascinating.

I've got plenty of time and am in no rush, so these extra stat points are going to be maxed out before I do any of the unassigned stat's points. These trained stats are eternally free points then and if there is one thing in life that I live. It's free stuff with no baggage.
