First Whisper

He received a message in the game. Since he was in a fight in the arena, he could only receive and not send out messages. He read the message, and it was this, the same person who he just knocked out had actually come back into the real world safely, although it said in the message that the person was still a little groggy and needed a lot of rest.

Allen had another worry on top of him now, didn't this mean that if he lost a match here, the other two would not be returning, at least in this way. Not to mention they would become the leader of this area, so they could not contact him. What they might do to Allen was unknown. Their thoughts were not quite clear.

The second was a person not that foreign to Allen this time; it was the same age guy he met before. Allen knew about his abilities, so that was a life saver here.

His abilities included precision, critical hit, extreme focus and last bravado. Of which he also probably could only use 3 at a time, Allen was sure that he was going to take the extreme focus and the precision, as that increased his damage and accuracy when he was trying to aim with his bow. He was a long-range weapon user, still not using weapons due to price.

Allen fought with him for 2 minutes and could see that his skills were the same as he expected and he had used the critical hit, which was a powerful skill. It had 40% chance of increasing his damage by 250% for one second.

Allen could not deal easily with him, even though Allen had a movement skill that could increase his speed a lot. This critical strike, with the use of the extreme focus and precision, was almost a certain hit. Only way he could avoid this was if he timed his own speed skill such that just before the opponent fired, his speed would drastically increase or decrease. He could do that with his speed skill, but Allen was unfortunately shot down 2 times and hence his hp reduced to 30% with each hit dealing about 18% or more. His ordinary long range attacks only dealt a few percent damage, and that was what Allen could use to his advantage. Allen also used his debuff immediately when he got close. It was almost a hit on everyone else other than his teacher.

In the second round, his opponent changed his skill to throw him off, which served its purpose but was not that effective. Allen also used his analysis skill this time. Allen figured from its use that it was only a superb skill to use if he had several fights with the opponent before, as that would give time to analyze the opponent. Its effects depended upon whether or not he could gather data about the opponent.

Allen won the second round and got the message again that the second person had also arrived. Allen thought," Only one left to go"

But there was a break….for the audience to go stretch a bit. It was not an entertainment show for him….a;though it was for them.

The system was actually taking part in promoting the fight. Some people only got to the arena now and were quite sad they missed two fights already. Allen was especially treated to a free meal in the game as part of the promotion. The system even gave him some coins as a quest reward. He was not doing ads; he was pretty sure?

Allen could only sit and relax. His opponent had arrived, and he was a middle-aged man. Probably he used to play just as a hobby and gullibly told the military about it. They then picked him to send him to this cage, poor big brother. Allen asked the system to fast things up, but it just gave him some extra coins in return…he was not doing a tantrum though….

Allen just logged out and spent the 20 minutes in the real world near his pod. The game gave him a timer to return to the game within 30 minutes, so he did just that. When he came, after just some more mins, the system announced the fight….it took a few minutes for it to rile the crowd up and everything. Allen could only marvel at this versatile system that could treat tantrums of people and become a manager of the crowd as well.' It could have some nice applications against those creatures' … he thought.

He was taken to the arena ground again, and the timer counted down 30 seconds. Allen didn't know about the skills of this person, so he had to find out about them in the match. When the fight began, Allen tried some slight movements to test the waters, but this man was adamant about getting close to him. He was pretty sure that was not a good thing for him , hence he maintained his distance. But, the man used some ability that made him freeze for half a second at just the right time, then this man used a combo skill and some kind of damage skill on him and could quickly down his hp to 60%, there were over 6 strikes, each attack dealing 30% more damage than the previous and the final downed his hp from around 78% to 60%.

Allen was speechless, as his hp was down so fast, he was probably getting…

"You have become e paralyzed for one second. All skills put on cooldown and speed slowed by 50% for one second"

"Great," Allen said to himself. The man then used this time to punch four more times, while Allen could only do 3.

Allen's hp reduced to a critical 42%, one more attack and he could probably stun him again, that's why he tried his best to retreat, but the attacks of this man had already cornered him on the ring. The man struck him again and then Allen was slowed for 2 seconds. Well, the rest was a story, he also decreased opponent's hp to around less than 50%, but it was game over for him. Allen lost the first round.

It was just the first round though, right? But that was not so simple. Allen could feel that some types of emotions were riling up inside him. He was getting worked up. Something had happened to his thoughts, something unknown.

Allen was getting bombarded with lots of strange ideas and thoughts. He tried to shake them and made them quieten down with some effort. What was that, he did not know, but he knew what may happen if he lost more matches. He was a coma patient in the making.
