Allen said, "But the system has been aligning me all this time, and while you have also aided me, I don't know under what conditions did you do what you do. It seems likely to me that the last step for a leader to give up his position completely was to train a new leader for the area he lead."

Energy killer said"….You read that in a book, didn't you?"

Allen was silent for a bit. He gave up. He thought 'It seems like I can't test his trustworthiness like this'

Allen did not need to respond. His silence said yes to him.

Energy killer said "It is okay for you to test whether I am trying to help you. But I think whether or not what I am saying is correct, you should only determine it after I have said what I am going to say. Don't see who is saying, just focus on the words for a little while. Can you do that?"

Allen said, "Sure. Go ahead"

Energy killer said" It is like this. The system has always started from this approach of making the leaders of future read about the leaders of the past and then see what they did. After learning about the past knowledge gained, then the system expects that the chosen person should improve on it in his own time. But that hasn't worked. Not for me."

Allen thought, 'I don't think it is the problem with the method, more with the people…'

Energy killer said "The problem is with the method I realize now. System makes us focus more on the past mistake of the past leaders and diverts from focus from the primary matter. I remember that when I came, the only thing burning in my head was that I was going to do some certain things, then due the system I adjusted the same things and thought it would be redress the errors the previous ones made, and the system only fortified that thinking in me. The result is, as you can see. Obsessive focus on one thing ended up taking resources from all the other things.

Not that I didn't know that in theory, but practically, the consequences of that had already hit me too soon. I believed before that it was going to be fine. The areas were functioning fine before too and were fine in that regard. It turned out we were comparatively okay in those areas previously because we gave the bare minimum resources to those areas. When I did what I did, those resources got sucked out. And about my advisers, don't ask."

That made him curious. Allen sent a questioning look. Nicknamed the energy killer, he said, "Alright, I selected them in the first place , so I only selected those with my mentality. What do you expect they would even advise against those things? In other matters, it was good overall. But in those matters they also were fine to use the resources ad allocate them like that."

Energy killer just could not control the emotions and thoughts running in his body. He said "I belive the biggest problem behind this all is that we did not address the biggest issue. And we focused on the side issues. That issue now I think is the education. There is too little education about the world mechanisms and everything related to that in our arsenal that we never could do this in the first place when we want to. By the time I knew that, there were already several poor policies in place and it was time for me to run out…the system did not want me there…"

Allen said, "So you are saying the solution is simple for me. Since I am new and my policies can still be implemented, I should focus on the general education of the people here?"

Energy killer said "Maybe not the general education. That is not the main priority as much as is that here should be special people who number above a certain minimum threshold that should be made highly qualified and highly skilled, it is fine for others to not pursue that, since not everyone in the class would have the same capability, only the most excellent should be pushed towards this path. "

Allen said, "That is good and all. But exactly what do you want them to be educated in?"

Energy killer said "Maybe humanities? Our problem is of that nature after all.."

Allen was surprised. He said "It is not a problem to train people in humanities. But why do you want many the humanities, we may only need a few, considering that our problem is more of a leadership and management in nature, no?"

Allen thought his master had not thought of that, but actually energy killer had thought of many things that Allen did not and still suggested he do that.

He finally said, "That is why the system is a problem to nurture…"

The system said "Kindly refrain from spreading false information and propaganda against the system, otherwise you will be considered as a threat and be banned entry forever."

Allen thought, 'But he is the former leader…can't something like this happen to me too…it's not a joke considering that there are actual threats in here that we need to protect ourselves from now.'

Energy killer said "You saw what happened. You don't have the full authority here. And indeed, the system is not the actual problem that I wanted to inform you about. It is actually the other clans that are in present around this area."

Allen seemed confused. He said, "Clarify this for me. How does that matter affect our current situation? Do they often attack us?"

The system interrupted their conversion. It said, "There is a limit on what offenses a clan may do to anther clan. Wars are strictly regulated and there has been no war in our clan in more than a decade. The user needs to worry about the security inside and not outside."

Energy killer scratched his head in frustration. He said "Yes, it is right,.. The wars were not what I was referring to. The chief thing is that we are not a completely independent identity. No person ever is and no clan ever is. Others also depend on us for something and we have to depend on others for so others. In these kinds of exchanges, to ensure fairness and to settle disputes, they made a clan, stronger than many of the less strong ones the mediator. That clan can be said to have seen an era of peace. There have been very few conflicts and that have been covert, too. No one really attacks them in the open and neither anyone from their clan.

Due to them being so well off, other clans have had to take some debts from them, and considering the situation in our clan, we have had to take an enormous amount of debt. And we will continue to need their aid for some time at least, otherwise the systems inside here can't function, even the basic ones that they are performing right now'"

Allen thought, 'Taking people on flying devices to an arena is a very basic function after all?'

Energy killer said "Actually a few before me tried to implement some education type system now that I think about it , but they were vehemently opposed, mostly by those clans and the people inside the clan id not support either. YOu think i have had the worst reputation, weel just read one or two of them."

Allen said, "So they are trying to repress the others by keeping them ignorant? That is how they could maintain their support then"

Energy killer said "Actually, that is not the case too. They really don't like this stuff being mentioned, even in their clan. They actually seriously think it is a waste of money and that's why they don't give it for that kind of purpose. I don't think we can change their mentality just like that"

ENergy killer saw Allen was silent. He probably needed time to think. Hence Energy killer excused himself, but only after Allen said okay to the system that the leader was returned….

Anyway, it was probably time to either return to the library to do some more basic shuffling or to return to the real world to ask the commander some things and discuss the situation with him.

Allen was of the mind that they should actually leave this game and start a new one. Too many things were at their doorstep already in the real world. They didn't want some whispers, some clan problems while also dealing with the creatures at the same time. There would not be much that would be different in any other game.

Allen exited from his pod and went to take a rest. There was no family to worry about for him, they lived very far from him. It was unlikely that there could be any contact in the foreseeable future. The local communication still worked, if you call broken communication workavble. But the international ones were basically mostly paralyzed. Even if some worked, at least they were not available in the safe zone of the military area.

He did not see any of his team members in the corridor to his room. There was not anyone else here as military personnel gave them some special isolated rooms so that they could be promptly connected with. Maybe the others returned to their family members for a time.

Allen went into his room and he felt that something did not appear to be right.
